(Alright guys, we have had long enough for suggestions. Brave, I've given my vote to your idea, and since Edge has done the same and I'm pretty sure you would vote for your on idea, I annouce that we will be dealing with a threat from outside of Equestria, but then it captures one of us and we have to go on a rescue mission. Sound good? And don't worry about the fine details, I will iron them out later, well expect for the pony to be captured, that will be a volunteer thing.)
(Yea, remember what I did in the first LOCP, you can describe your captors, describe your situation, etc.)
(Alright, I have everything done and ironed out, I'm gonna drop us right in the middle of the action) Snow hid behind a boulder that was her only cover. It was weird to think that just a few weeks ago she was just arriving at Ponyville, and more has happened in the 3 weeks that she has lived there than the rest of her life. Now, her and her friends had scattered after the attack, and now they were trying to find each other. Right now it was just her and Dark, her one-time worst enemy, and no friendly ponies in sight. Snow peeked around the boulder to see the army advancing on her mountaintop. "Great, there's almost a thousand of them, and only two of us! What are we gonna do Dark!" "I don't know Snow, but we can't face them head on, we will have to find a way of the mountain without drawing attention to us." Dark sighed, they were both exhausted, and one of her wings had been broken in the intial attack, so there was no flying out of there. They had probably killed more than three hundred ponies between the two of them. So much had happened in just the past three days, she just wanted to take a step back and catch her breath. But somehow, they were always found. "Alright, we've gotten out of worse, we just need to put our heads togather and solve this problem." Snow said. She peeked around the boulder one more time and saw a pony take a random potshot at her. She pulled her head back quick just as the bullet took of part of the edge of the boulder. "Somehow."
Firebreeze ran in a mountain tunnel from a group of 5 enemies chasing him and firing at him. "come on, boys! you can do better than that!" He said as two bullets just missed him. He saw the exit of the tunnel ahead. He turned around one last time, "Ya know, for elite soldiers, you guys aren't that elite!" He flew up, leaving the exit blocked by fire. He landed on a ledge near the top of the mountain to catch his breath. He thought, "Man, I could use a glass of milk right about now..." He sat down and looked around the mountains to see an advancing army. "oh, great. Just fan-freaking-tasic!"
(It'd probably help if you explained this more thoroughly to us. Like for example, who are we under attack from? Might I suggest a new thread with another summary and an explanation of the current situation?)
(That's it! We don't know! That's what we are trying to find out. A mysterious enemy invades Equestria, overrunning it, trapping the Princesses in Canterlot, so they are out of the picture, and we are trying to peice togather the mystery, before the Mane 6 does, just for a little competition. And then, after we figure out who they are, we have to find a way to defeat them, which is where one of us is captured, and then we have to leave Equestria to rescue them. Its basically a massive mystery that we have to figure out and defeat before either the Mane 6 does, or they destroy Equestria forever.)
Edge was behind a fallen tree with multiple bullets firing at the tree "Dang it! We had to split apart!" he screamed he used his magic to create 4 throwing knifes. He smiled and quickly threw the knifes each making direct head shots he quickly jumped the tree and grabbed a large branch multiple bullets went by him and he got the branch onto ones head. He breathed heavily and fell to the ground he got back up and created multiple clones they swarmed the strange creatures and they quickly retreated. He feel to the ground breathing heavily and crawled to a dead tree "I hate my life," he heavily breathed and went back to sleep.
"Alright Dark, are you ready?" "Yea, lets get this over with." The two ran at each other, horns glowing with magic, and then upon impact, there was a falsh of light that blinded the advacing army and when the smoke cleared, Snow Light stood there. "Alright, let's do this." Said the pony with its strange combo voice. It turned towards the army, and then smiled. "Let's do this, and charged at the army, glowing very brightly from its magic.
Zephyr hovered in the air over the battlefield. All around him the sounds of battle could be heard, though one of the sides had been drowned out by the other through the fact that a majority of Ponyville's forces maintained to be simple farmers and shop owners with the occasional knight and royal guard thrown into the mix. There were arrows and rocks flying through the air, some engulfed in their own personal flames, and some not. The Everfree forest had caught flame during the battle, whether this was caused by a stray arrow or simply because it was part of the attack was unknown. The burning trees glowed an ominous orange flame as it lit up the horizon and filled the air with a thick black smoke that gave the battlefield a very chaotic miasma. Looking down Zephyr observed as the conflict continued itself below him, the frontline being the point in which he hovered overheard. The enemy army didn't consist of a single standard force but was instead comprised of various different mercenaries, soldiers, creatures, and beings. He continued to stare and focused his attention on a nearby Royal Guard who had come into contact with a equally built pony in a crimson red armor, which swiftly gained a new coat of pain thus after. Who had even launched this attack? Why? Ponyville was just a simple town off in the countryside, why was it always undergoing such dramatic conflicts? An burning arrow shot by Zephyr's face and in turn cinched his cheek leaving a ashy black burn mark. The smell of seared flesh quickly reached his nose and he pulled himself back into the fight. Scanning the battlefield he noticed a dark colored unicorn in the same red armor as the previous one had been. He was giving Zephyr an intent look while a bow and arrow hovered threateningly in the air next to him enveloped in a dark yellow glow. He launched another arrow at Zephyr with deadly precision and as it rocketed across the seared ground, Zephyr had to drop his altitude to avoid being taken out of commission. Giving him an angry glare, Zephyr began to formulate his attack. He scanned the horizon of the battlefield once more and much to his dismay he spotted a rock golem nearby the offender. He sighed and complained openly to just about nobody. "This is just great, now what am I going to do..." he muttered. A ray of light bounced off the golem and someting caught his eye. There was a chain hanging out of the golem's chest. Zephyr thought about this for a moment and began to formulate an attack, all while a smile began to spread across his face from deviation. He swooped down out of the sky to gain some much needed speed and shot himself across the battlefield to clash with the golem from a parallel angle. The dark stallion objected to this and began to fire a myriad of arrows at Zephyr, who then in turn responded by rolling of the side and other sorts of evasive maneuvers. A flash of pain shot through his hind leg as an arrow sunk itself into the soft flesh of Zephyr's leg. He winced in pain but continued on towards his objective ever tenacious to meet his goal. Coming within reaching distance of the golem, Zephyr grabbed onto the chain and maintained his current direction. He flapped his wings with a force of such fury that it began to burn his muscle at an intense level. He wanted to scream out in pain but his mouth was occupied with the chain of which he was pulling. After much struggle, and with a crumbling snap, the chain gave way and the golem crumbled to the ground as a pile of rocks as the chain was torn from his chest; a boulder still attached at the end. More arrows flew through the air as a means of defense against the wicked blue pegasus. The forward momentum of the chain coming loose sent the chain and boulder flying forward knocking the arrows out of the air. The chain reciprocated backwards as Zephyr approached the Dark Unicorn at insane speeds, no longer being held back the by golem's immense weight. Pulling his head backwards and then jerking it forward in a slow but powerful circular motion sending the boulder in a horizontal, circular arch. It collided with his attacker with a loud sickening crack of his bones and he slunk to the ground as the life was stripped from his body. Zephyr dropped the chain and looked over the battlefield once more with a worried look in his eyes. "I wonder how everyone else is doing?" (Edit: Does this count as 2 posts or one haha)
Firebreeze was breathing deeply on the ledge. "how's everypony else doing?" He thought, "Are they even still alive?!" He was nervous and was thinking about what to do when he saw a blinding flash near the advancing army. He smiled, "I don't care who's out there, I just want don't wanna fight and die alone!" He darted towards where the flash came from.
Edge was once again being attacked right in the middle of his nap he had conjured multiple weapons throwing them but he was getting tired the Forrest was burning and he was in it. He started to panic and he remembered that huge robot thing he had made he mimicked the spell and was now inside the same strange machine. "I have come to destroy you," Edge said with a deep robot voice he fired 4 rockets into the crowd blasting all the strange creatures into different places. He walked up to one and grabbed the strange slimy thing and crushed it to death he threw the body into a group and fired 2 null lasers disentratrating anything in the way. The null laser arm went back into the machine and was replaced by a flamethower arm and started to scorch everything in his path. As he was walking a burning tree fell onto him Edge screamed in pain and the robot disappeared and his skin was burning yet again.
Snow Light had become a flurry of kicks, magical attacks, and other movements. She summoned a massive magic spear, and drove it through several ponies at one time. She turned around just in time to see a minotaur that had came with the group start cleaving his axe at her. She easily dodged the massive blade, and while he was trying to get it unstuck from the ground, she had a magical blade slice him in half. Then the army started to retreat, first slowly and around the edges, but then they stampeded out of there, as this one pony just killed almost half of them, they didn't want to risk their own lives. Snow Light stared at the feild of dead around her, and then seperated into Snow and Dark again. They were both sweating porfusely, they looked at each other, and then in a silent conversation, walked off to join the main battle now that the reinforcements had been turned back.
Firebreeze flew in just in time to see Snow and Dark separate. He examined the bodies around him. He chuckled, "better than I could do..." He thought. He flew above the two, "Hey, how's it goin'"
Facade felt like he was going to lose his voice after he spoke once more to another of these things. Thankfully they were very easy to fool with his voice and soon he head a little private army cutting and slicing into there own allies. And when one of his minions died he talked another one into his service. Soon his minions had a circle of dead bodies around them. He looked around trying to find anyone else, but all he could see was more and more of the monsters. "Damn it...There are way to many...I need help." Facade muttered to himself.
(*Shrugs* Can't really do anything right now can he? We don't even know what these things are! Perhaps they are like Stormtroopers? "These are not the droids you're looking for...")
Brave "Oh, colt..." He said, with a rather exciting tone in his voice. Well, he WAS excited. It felt wrong, but it would be a lie to deny it. It's just that, he had learned so much. Brave Cape was behind a tree, hearing the soft sound of hooves pressing the grass. After calculated timing, he immediately turned and empaled his chaser with the sword. The pony hardly had time to percieve what was going on. Fast as before, he pulled it off and decapitated the what looked like a earth pony in clad, finishing him. And started to laugh and reflect, as he sitted right in front of the corpse. Well, he had learned to handle a sword. But know, he could use it with any part of the body: one hoof, two hooves, the four of them, magic, mouth... Not only that, he learned many spells, most destructive; but the most effective so far was coating things with energy, such as rocks, armors, knifes, even the air, and his sword. Specialy the sword. While coated, it was invulnerable, and could even reflect any kind of projectile thrown at him. It would even pierce through anything, rendering any armor, skin, carapace of the enemy useless. Ah, the enemy. He could tell they were from outside Celestia's reign, but not exactly out of this world. Well, most weren't. He recognized ponies, dragons, minotaurs, griffins... And there were more. He didn't have the time to invent specific names, but they were wicked. Of that he was sure. All of them in fact. He reflected for a moment if the Princesses's influence over Equestria not only granted them power to lift the moon and the sun, among some other small things; but also influenced their own souls, making them innately pure and innocent. Of course, there were ponies that would deny that with all costs, but most of the equestrians were good, simple and happy. He didn't realize how lucky he was until this new enemy had invaded them. And he did learn some other things as well. He actually put in practice all the great-scale tactics he would read in many books; learned to distinguish sounds and images of all sorts, and some other small things. Something interesting was that war did not change him at all. It only made him better. Although his new knowledge and "routine" could make him look like a maniac, homicidal pony. But in times like these, you could either adapt or die. Fortunaly, he was almost as good as adapting as he was learning. Times like these? Only three days had passed. He could almost not believe it. He remembered as he was trotting with Snow, going at Sugarcube Corner for another of Pinkie's parties. He got to knew her better, but he wanted to know more. He felt strange around her. Some sort of connection, or... Attraction. Could it be? Nonetheless, just as night striked and they reached the place, screams were heard. Suddenly he saw all of his friends panicking for some few seconds, but rapidly organizing as the rest of Ponyville ran for their lives. After the threat was somewhat known to them, they did their best to prepare. They all met at the library, but as soon as they were coming out, the enemy had reached them. A small force reckoned the town, and sieged the library, as if they knew what was in there. Twilight Sparkle said she had a plan, and needed five more ponies to accompany her. Since Rarity, Applejack, Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy were the ones she knew the most, she took them away while we covered them. He though he would die, but he didn't. After that, he didn't hear of Twilight again. He could only hope she was actually helping in the war, as he was. The war. It was exciting, yes. He was learning much, yes. But he just wanted to end it. He wanted to be near Snow again... How long he didn't see her? She even began teaching him a bit of essence magic, but he couldn't hard bring his own out. Not yet. He had much to learn, and much to train. What could end this war? Certainly, it wouldn't end by these skirmishes. He had to get to their source, their leader. If the physical destruction to whatever capital they had wouldn't be enough, the death of their symbol and hope should be. But... How? Just how? He learned too that sometimes, you would just have to wait and things would resolve themselfs. Suddenly he saw a pegasus in the sky, flying quickly to the east, holding something in his hooves. Brave Cape rapidly summoned a spear of pure energy and after calculating the trajetory of the messenger, he trespassed the enemy with it. Quickly he arrived to the place of the crash of said unlucky pony, and after ending his life, he opened up his bag, finding a single letter. It described some instructions of the commander of a primary site to send reinforcements. It stood between the Canterlot mountains and the most eastern part of the Everfree Forest. It was bigger than most ponies realized. They came from the east? Couldn't they come from the north, or the south? What could be blocking them? At least, that explains why Cloudsdale was the last city to be attacked, being one of the most western pony concentrations. They had the time to prepare and were handling the situation really well, along with Canterlot. The rest of Equestria though was wrapped in a terrible tragedy. At least, now he had a clue to where to go. He would certainly find more information on said site. But he didn't want to go by himself, mainly because as strong as he had become, he wouldn't make it. If only he could find Snow... The time for resting was over. Brave Cape trotted out of the northern section of the Everfree Forest and marched west, going through the northern extension of the Ponyville battleground, hoping to flank the ever going battle. From there he could now make another big move of his, since he already rested since he last, and perhaps make them retreat. After picking off those who would be scattered, he would search for his friends. A tear rolled down his cheek, as he began to gallop. If his friends were even alive. ((And after a post this big, I wonder just why the hell I'm facing such big difficulties to write in my book. Above is the minimum I should try to write everyday... But then again, I'm at a rather boring and not exactly planned part of the book. And I usually don't have all this time. Well, after I publish the 1st book, everything should be fine and I should have enough time to keep on going and write the second. Also, sorry if I assumed some things. I just felt the need to.)) ((Edit: By Snow's post, it seems they are composed of both creatures from Equestria [meaning that we know that existed because there are specimens in Equestria, but there also seems to be out of it] and strange, new, wicked ones. And yeah, nice one Facade. :derpe)
