"Oh, hey Firebreeze!" Snow said to the fiery pony. "Hey Fire, bet I've killed more of them than you!" Dark said to him as they trotted back to Ponyville to join the main battle. Snow rolled her eyes, Dark and Firebreeze has become good friends since she was calmed, but they still competed over every last detail that one could be better than the other at.
(Fun, took awhile to read it. But very indepth, and it gave me an idea) As the three were making their way back to Ponyville, Snow saw a pegasus get impaled by a magic spear, and she instantly reconized the magic, "Guys! I know around where Brave is!" and she ran off, leaving Dark and Firebreeze confused. Good, if I find Brave, maybe he can help, or he might even know more than she does about the enemy, and got to make sure he hasnt used any essence magic yet, not not ready to use it for fighting, not yet, she thought.
Edge was screaming until 6 dark like ponies came up to him and laughed they removed the tree and picked him up and they all started to laugh "Look at this little pipsqueak!" he yelled. Edge flailed and managed to use the back of his head and smacked it into his face and bucked his chest he used a black bubble blast blasting them all back and started to run. He dodged all the battles before him until it started to get a little bumpy of the dead bodies and he had seen a large circle of monsters killing other monsters he shrugged and purple magic spread from his horn and picking him up and setting him in the circle and noticed that pony named Facade.
He laughed, he was just so happy to see a face that didn't want to kill him. "well, considering I haven't killed any. I've actually spent most of my time running from some crazy armored elites." He looked rather nervous, but ready to fight, and die if needed.
Facade looked over and groaned when he saw Edge lift himself right next to him. "Make sure not to get in my way alright? I don't need you going all dark and insane on me." He said quickly before returning his attention to his small amount of guards. The enemy was retreating from his circle of death so he began to move back towards Ponyville, but not before sending half of his men to cut down the retreating forces. He chuckled darkly as he watched them slaughter one another. "Good. They won't be bothering me anymore. Keep up Edge. I want to figure out what state Ponyville is in."
Dark turned to Firebreeze after Snow ran off, "Well, that was weird. Hey Fire, race ya back to Ponyville?" She knew that athough her wing was hurt, she could get over it with some magic, she spread her wings, "So, what do ya say?"
Dark smiled and took of, quickly catching up with Firebreeze, she looked at him and said, "Try to keep up Fireboy!" and took off, leaving a dark streak in the sky.
He smirked and began to pick up speed. His trail began to burn bigger and bright. As he caught up to dark he yelled, "I have never had this much fire fly out of my rear end before!!"
He stood up, dazed. Firebreeze shook his head to regain vision. He looked at the laughing Dark, and then the tree. He bucked the very base of the tree and watched it fall over. He turned to Dark, "makes ya wonder why it didn't snap when I crashed into it..."
Snow looked around at the clearing, there was no pony, just a dead pegasus with a looted saddle bag. She looked around, "Now where could he have gone? Wait! I know, I'll just.. just... oh what's the point." She looked around and decided to head back west to Ponyville, maybe she could at least help the battle along.
Firebreeze looked towards ponyville. "so are we just gonna sit around and make funny faces, or are we gonna go kick some flank!?" He flew up, looking pumped and ready to do, well, anything. He never thought he'd ever use his fire to kill, but hey, life's just funny like that.
Firebreeze flew into a cloud as they neared the town. He moved the cloud forward enough to get behind two guards and then he jumped down. He bucked the one into the air and managed to counter the other one's attack with a sword by kicking his chin, which made the guard throw the sword up into the air as Firebreeze flew up and kicked it back at the guard. "nighty night." Firebreeze said as he landed back on the ground.
Zephyr continued to aid the fight in the heat of the battle. His mane had become soaked in a variety of fluids giving it a very musky scent of iron and sweat. He riddles with scratches and had stains of blood spread across his worn face. At the current moment in time he was locked in a fight with another pony, one of whom was enchanting a myriad of swords from his fallen allies. With precise manipulation, the opposing pony directed the cavalcade of swords to converge at the same location in the air. An intense heat generated from the cluster and they began to melt. The dripping iron was then rearranged with magic to produce a single giant blade that hovered in the air with a murderous intent. The unicorn smirked wryly and sent it cutting through the air at Zephyr. The Blue Colt flapped both of his wings once to launch himself into the air, yet continued to flap his left wing while his right wing folded itself in. He rolled through the air and scarcely dodged the sword as he rolled down it's blade. He maintained the use of his wings to stabilize his balance and he leaped from his sliding position to a more offensive one as his ran down the side of the gargantuan sword while it pulled itself out of the moist dirt. With a sudden jerk, the blade launched itself out of the dirt and attempted to defend itself from the charging pegasus, yet the backwards momentum that led to it's freedom also led to an increase in speed for the pegasus in question. Zephyr was sent hurling through the air right at the unicorn like he had predicted and braced himself for attack. As he did so, he stuck his right wing out in a stiff position and began to rotate it at blinding speeds until it became that of a blue blur. A cold wind came over Zephyr and a layer of thick ice formed over his wing in a very tapered shape. Lunging his wing forward, it sunk into the Unicorn's neck with a moist 'Tshn' sound. The giant blade fell behind him as the Unicorn's life essence faded from his body and his dominion over the sword was torn from him. Zephyr jerked his wing to the right and sent a quick trail of blood splattering over the grass as his victim fell into a heap of emptiness. He stuck his wing out once more and stretched out his auxiliaries shattering the ice and freeing his feathers from their requested imprisonment. He looked off across the battlefield, the enemies numbers had began to dwindle since the reinforcements left. The battle was almost over, though who knows what would remain afterwards? Zephyr looked across the burning field and spotted a few familiar faces off in the distance. He stuck his wings out and gave a vigorous flap sending him into the air. He soared over to the small group and gave a weary, yet sincere smile to Snow and Fire. "Good to see you guys."
Firebreeze was soon surrounded by enemies. They began to circle him, holding swords with magic. He gave a sly smile as he said, "Now you see me, no you don't!" He began to running in circles until he was completely consumed by his own fire. Soon, a wall of fire was made and the enemies began to slash at it while Fire stood in the center chuckling. He then flapped his wings extremely hard and disbursed the flames, scorching his enemies. He breathed deeply as he looked around for more, but instead he found Zeph, "As for you..." He said, still decently tired.
Zephyr made eye contact with Firebreeze and hovered over in front of him. He examined him as he flew in a small circle around the green pegasus. "Wow you seem tired," He said noticing the sweat coming off of him. "Thought you had more in you than that."
"I'm not really much of a runner," He said, "I was made for speed in the sky, not the ground." Firebreeze whipped some sweat off his forehead and shook his head to get some of the sweat off.
Zephyr hovered backward next to Fire with a teasing smile. "You know it's pretty much the same right?" He did a small backwards somersault in the air and landed on his hooves. He stretched out his wings a bit. "It's not about how well your wings or legs work, it's about how well they work together with the rest of you body." He continued. "If you had the strongest wings in the sky, but the weakest heart and veins, you wouldn't go that far." He laughed to himself in a snide manner. "Not like I have to worry about that. Sucks to be you!"
