The punch sent Firebreeze flying through the air and through the wall of a building. He wanted to get up and fight, but the pain wouldn't allow him to. He silently lied in the building, slowly passing out. Before passing out, he yelled out, "Shut... Up... Talky.... You coward..."
"Okay, whatever you want!" He shouted back. He then looked at Facade and asked him, "Hey Facade you any good at fighting?" He took out the hatchet and got ready to throw it in his unique way.
Pain picked up Dark and looked around to see all challengers had either been beaten or had left, "Good, no more unnecessary deaths." he said, flinging Dark onto his back, and motioned for his remaining men to follow him, and left the plaza, leaving only the rubble and bodies.
Karl put the hatchet away and sat down on the edge of the roof, humming the melody to On Melancholy Hill.
"Nope!" Facade flew up and tackled DarkShine out of the sky knocking them both into rubble. "Don't attack! We can regroup and actually do something later!" Facade hissed in anger. Ponies these days...
Pain turned to see Facade tackle Dark Shine out of the air, he rolled his eyes and muttered, "Crazy." before continuing on to the palace.
Dark Shine looked to the pony who took him down. "But.. I will not let Dark get more hurt!" He looked around at the damage and his friends. "Fine. At least tell me, who you are and if you have a place we can regroup in saftey, say."
Karl sighed and started walking towards the direction Pain had gone. He was gonna have a talk with an old friend, maybe reminescence about a few old memories, maybe have an armwrestling competition against Pain. He trotted along, jumping from roof to roof, until he saw Pain again. He remained silent to not attract attention, as he wanted to see where Pain was going exactly.
Gaze looked around to see if that scary orange pony was anywhere and he entered the area he looked around to not see him anywhere he saw all the damage he had done and got on his star bubbles. He moved a bit to see two other ponies and moved closer to them and levitated higher spying on the two ponies.
"I'm Facade. You're not getting anymore then that until I know you better." He pointed his hoof towards the unconscious Firebreeze. "Grab that idiot and we can be on our way. He mentioned something about a safe house. I think that might be the only safe location in the city right now."
Arrows found a potion book while looking through the supplies. He flipped through the pages for something that might help him. "There! This potion will allow me to use magic without a horn for a short amount of time! It wont help me fight Pain, but I could send a message for some backup! To the Everfree!" Arrows flew off to a small hut in the Everfree Forest. He opened up to see a Zebra mixing some kind of brew.
Karl jumped down from the building and landed on the ground with a thud. He looked over to Pain and started trotting after to get beside him.
"Zecora! There's been an attack on Canterlot! Somepony named Pain is destroying it!" Arrows said, rushing (Note, i might not be able to do rhymes for Zecora, i'll try though) "Oh My! Has anyone died?" Asked the Zebra, suprised. "Not that I know of, but I need you to brew this potion." Arrows opened up to the page with the temporary magic potion.
(No potions that can instantly take down Pain and such...) When Pain got to the palace, he went into the throne room and tossed Dark into a chair, "Tie her down." He told some of his men to do. After they did so, they set up a table with several other chairs around it. "Alright comrades, she should wake up soon, time for a little mind messing." he said, if he wasn't wearing a mask, they would have seen a large smile on his face. Dark woke to find herself strapped to a chair in what appeared to be the throne room of the royal palace. She looked around frantically to see several ponies, one of them Pain sitting in very dignified positions, wearing fancy, gala-like clothing, and drinking...tea? She was completely confused to say the least.
"This is tragic indeed. I will brew the potion, that grants temporary magic." Said Zecora, pulling out a bowl, and filling it with water
Karl was hiding in a vent, looking down upon the whole play. He couldn't help but chuckle at his silly friends antics. He remembered how Pain would take the shots while he went in to take the kill. He smiled deviously, and began thinking about what he was gonna do with her.
Dark Shine glared. "Fire is not an idiot. He just did not know this foe and tried to save a friend." he then went over to Firebreeze and picked him up. "Lead the way."
Zecora threw in some petals from a flower Arrows was unfamiliar with. She stirred the bowl and the mixture turned purple. She added one more ingrident and handed it to Arrows.
"Ah the guest of honor has awaken!" Pain said in ridiculously overdone british accent, "Would you like a spot of tea?" his cohorts then collapsed in laughter, glasses shattering against the floor, even Pain was chuckling, "Now comrade, onto to business. You are probably wondering why I wish to kill you, well, let's say a very certain pony hired me to take out the Mark family, don't know why, but the fellow was likable. Now, I decided to start with you as you are probably the most dangerous. Next I think I'll go for either Snow or that Winter fellow. Anyways, you put up a good fight, and don't deserve to die right now. But that existence is going to be the worst of your life, because while yes, physical pain hurts a lot, there is one pain that can drive a pony mind." Pain placed a hoof on Dark's head, "Mental pain. You see, I will make you watch as your family is massacred and the city you protected is destroyed, I hope you like it." Pain said, "Now I must go." Pain then left the room, leaving Dark alone, her guards on the outside of the throne room.
"Ha, ha. Right. Not an idiot." Facade drawled sarcastically. "I've known him for far to long then I want to. He doesn't think. He only acts. That gets people hurt and killed. And the pony single handedly took down Dark. That should have given him some sort of message. Now come. I believe I saw the Pegasus fly off in this direction." Facade said walking in the general direction of the shelter. He was positive he would meet or gather something that could tell him the exact location on the way.
