Facade nodded and bucked at the large rocks at well. With little less then a minute remaining a hole was finally formed. "All Pegasi! Take as many ponies as you can and fly!!!" Pegasi swarmed out some with one or two ponies hanging onto there hooves. Facade continued to hypnotize Pegasi to be able to carry three or even four ponies pushing the bodies to there limit. He turned to Firebreeze and grinned. "You are going to carry off as many ponies as you can." He said his eyes swirling, his mystical words wrapping around Firebreeze's mind. He wouldn't remember anything after the hypnotization. "10...9...8...7...6..." Facade counted down as he jumped into the air and flew off. All of the guards that he could see had left and he took off as fast as his wings could carry him. "3...2...-" The megaspell launched Facade far off. "Yeah...What a great idea going to Canterlot..." Facade muttered as the blast over took him. As he fell unconscious his hypnotized ponies regained there freedoms. Some rejoiced just as the blast overtook them as well.
The explosion was about kill Arrows, but then he felt a blue aura cover his body. He got covered in extremly light weight armor. "Again, these elements are pretty awesome." He spotted pain and flew towards him at speeds that make light wish it was faster. He tackled pain, stopped on the ground and shot more arrows the possible within a second at pain
(Shush you and your ERB references) Pain laughed as the arrows bounced off his armor, "That all you got?"
As Firebreeze flew off thinking, 'Does that damn pony still think his powers have control over m- Damn, i'm following his orders aren't I...' Soon, the blast sent Fire and the ponies he was carrying flying through the air, which also made them hit the ground, hard.
"No. This is." Arrows flew into the air and fired multiple arrows that appeared to be made of light. The ripped a hole through the rubble and headed towards pain
Gaze had carried far too many on his Star Bubbles but he felt that he should save as many as possible but other Pegasi guards helped make it go faster just as the explosion happened it launched everyone off the Bubbles flying in the air for a couple seconds but hit the ground instantly knocking out Gaze.
Pain simply laughed again as the arrows uselessly smashed against his armor, "Now, I wish I could stay and teach you a lesson or two comrade, but well the main part of my contract is fulfilled and I have an awful lot to do, so dosvadonia!" and then Pain disappeared with a flash of light after hitting a button on his mask.
For Firebreeze, everything seemed dark, like everything was over, but suddenly, a light pierced through the darkness. His eyes shot open and he sat up and looked around. On his head, he felt his element, The Helmet of Fire. It seems to have protected him from any physical damage. The guards he was carrying laid around him. He shook all of them and checked their heart rate. None of them woke up, none were alive. "Dammit!" He yelled out.
Firebreeze made his way back into the city, his mane and tail both blazing fires due to the helmet. He looked around for anything alive.
And so ends another Tale of the Elements of the Ancients, this time, of failure. The Elements were incapable of stopping Pain except in the killing of the powerful Mark family, but Canterlot is now a blasted out ruin, with nothing but a sizzling crater left in what was once the heart of Equestria. It would take a long while, but eventually things would return to normal as Canterlot was repaired, but nothing would ever be the same. The whereabouts of the feared and hunted Pain remain unknown, though tales of his murders and exploits would seep across Equestria, reminding them why he should be feared. But what will happen next for the Elements remains to be seen... End of LOCP 2
