Karl was jumping on the rooftops, slamming the hatchet into different pony faces, one after the other. He had just taken a stop when a .50 BMG got punched into his crystal hoof. It didn't break, but it had now had a large bullet inside it. He looked the way it had come from, and ducked as another went past his head. "Well that sucks." He said as he looked at his crystal hoof. He then bolted out of cover and ran in zig-zag, attempting to dodge the bullets. One managed to take off a lock of his hair. He thought of a diffirent strategy, and went down a level, smashing a houses windows in the process. He quickly ran through the building and jumped out the other side, jumping inside the next window. Once he had calculated that it was the right building, he started making his way up. He kicked open the door and threw the hatchet into the unsuspecting ponys face. He walked over and picked up the hatchet. "Ponys gotta learn different strategies." He said as he went and sat on the edge, pulling out a vodka bottle and a small glass. He poured the the glass full and raised it, saying, "For Mother Russia!" He quickly chugged it, and put it beside him.
"No," Fire said slowly standing up, "Should I care?" He cracked his neck before charging at Pain, sending a headbutt right between his eyes.
Facade looked at the ongoing rush towards Canterlot, drawn like moths to a light. He sighed heavily as he felt his wings flex on there own. "I thought I was going to avoid this kind of thing." His wings flared out causing Facade to frown. "I'm only going to check it out. I ain't helping out a pony. In need or not." Facade muttered as he took off towards Canterlot. As he approached his frowned deepened as he saw the destruction in the royal city. "What is this nonsense?" He spotted a lone guard patrolling around. He landed behind him and smiled as he tapped the guard's shoulder. He turned around in shock as Facade stared deep into the guard's eyes. "Tell me who you work for and what goes on this city." Facade purred expecting no resistance from a lowly guard. Which nearly got him killed as the unicorn magically pulled out a pistol from his holster. With a yelp Facade took off into the air; narrowly avoiding the speeding bullets that shot through the air. "I'll die before I talk!" The guard screamed as he fired into the air while Facade did his best to dodge the bullets. "This has gotten more interesting...Gah!" Facade grimaced and began a, less then graceful, tumble from the air as a bullet shot through his wing. He desperately tried some safe place to land, but ended up crashing into the edge of the battle between FireBreeze and Pain. Facade stumbled back onto his hooves groaning. "Oh good Celestia...This isn't good..." Facade whispered as he spotted the monstrous of a pony known as Pain.
"Don't mess with me or my friends. I can shoot 10 arrows accurately in a second." Said Arrows reading multiple arrows, all aimed at pains eye
PAin laughed, "Those arrows couldn't even hope to peirce my armor." he looked over to Firebreeze, who was now dazed from the headbutt and just shook his head before bucking him away. "Now, I will give you a choice, leave or die."
Karl laid on the the roof, looking up at the sky. He could hear the battle, but he didn't care right now. He was close to falling asleep when he heard a pony trotting on the roof. He quickly got up and examined around him, to stop when he found that there indeed was a pony on the rooftop. He looked at the pony for a while, then rubbed his eyes. When he looked again the pony was gone. He stood up, and looked around. That pony had looked just like her... he heard the ongoing battle. He sighed and said to himself, "Seems i'll have to intervene, after all." He started jumping between buildings until he stood looking out over the battle. He facehoofed and shouted to Pain while waving his hoof to get his attention. "Hey Pain! Hows it goin', bro?"
Pain held up a hoof and the arrows shattered against it without exploding, "Death it is." He then jumped further and higher than any earth pony has a right to and tackled Arrows right out of the sky, sending him crashing to the ground. "I am called Pain for a reason comrade." he said, before flinging Arrows into Firebreeze.
Firebreeze caught Arrows as he flew towards him, "Listen, kid," He said to Arrows, putting him down, "I'm gonna do my best to hold him back, but I want you to get out of here!"
Dark had managed to get back up and she had heard what Karl had yelled out, so she instantly flew to inquire, "WHY THE HELL ARE YOU FRIENDS WITH THAT MONSTER!" was her easy, level-headed question.
Gaze had finally made it to Canterlot his Star bubbles aren't known for there speed he noticed that the bridge was missing his ears perked up he heard a battle was happening right now. He headed towards the direction of the noise and lowered himself to a nearby street and and started to walk and he saw the strange orange pony he looked at him but didn't reveal himself yet.
Karl looked at Dark with a deceptive smile. "You could ask a little nicer, please?" He then looked at Pain and answered, "We've been colleagues for a while now. He helped with a few... difficult murders." He then picked up his vodka bottle and shaked for Pain to see. "We always had one of these afterwards, remember?" He threw it down for Pain to catch. "Just to make sure you still remember me, eh?"
Pain caught the vodka bottle dropped by Karl and chugged it with ease, "Good to see you comrade." he said, "Now on with my mission." He then jumped up, grabbed Dark and slammed her down onto the pavement.
"Fine." said Arrows, sighing. "Good luck." Arrows flew off al the way to the vault, the shelter the survivors used in the human wars.
Firebreeze charged at Pain again as he attacked Dark. He grabbed him by the head and flipped him behind his back then spun around to prepare to brace himself for Pain's next attack.
Pain flipped onto his hooves, "I wish not to hurt you comrade, but if you refuse to stop getting in the way of my mission, you must die." he said, moving quickly an punching Firebreeze solidly in the jaw, then instantly turned his attention back to Dark, who he bucked into a nearby wall, "I must say, you have strong spirit, but I wonder what will break first, your spirit, or your body?"
"Good Celestia always the stupid one! Numbnuts!" Facade hollered at Firebreeze. "You can't win! Retreat while you still have a functioning brain unless you already lost it!" They couldn't win this. He saw it and he knew Firebreeze knew it as well. They had to run if they were ever going to leave alive. "Come on! Just run! Leave Dark and just run!"
"I'm sorry comrade!" Pain called to Karl, "But I'm afraid I have bigger thing to do right now!" he picked up Dark and smashed her against a wall, where she fell like a ragdoll.
Arrows arrived at the vault. There was more than enough food left over to keep him going. "Not good not good not good!"
