Karl jerked up with a audible gasp, but realized, he had been decapitated! He looked around himself and discovered that he was back to before he had gotten the upgrade. However, he had also become transparent. He knew what this was. Whenever Clocky had too, he could go from physical to spiritual and vice versa, as long as he had a physical body to move in. He started trotting down the cave, passing through anything that stood in his way. He was like a ghost, except from the scary part. The only thing he was worried about was that he didn't have a physical body to move too, so The Rift was now the only place where he could interact with objects at all. Unless he could get contact with somepony.
Firebreeze bucked Icegale into a wall before chasing after the rest of the group. "Wait up!" he called out.
Dark pointed at the machine, "That.". On top of the machine was Black Night, "Ah, it appears you have evaded your opposites." she said, half shrouded in Shadow, "It appears I will have to finish the job." black fog started to fill the chamber, "Everypony, run!" Dark yelled, the black smoke would hid Black Night and only increase her strength, it would be the worst possible thing to fight her inside it.
Dark Shine looked around for which way to run, so simply followed behind Dark, who seemed to know what was sort of going on.
Gaze looked at the Black Smoke and saw that everypony was running away from it "Well might as well follow the group," Gaze said he caught up with the running mob and noticed something "Wait! Arn't we running right back into are opposites?!" Gaze said.
Dark looked at Grazer, "Trust me, you do not want to fight Black Night." that's when they heard a voice from further ahead, "LOOK OUT BELOW COMRADES!" and the 11 opposites slid unconcious past them, quickly follows by Pain, "Hello again comrades, what are you running for, the party's down there!" Pain took a bottle of vodka from his jacket pocket and took a swig from it, and started calmly heading towards Black Night's chamber, "She cannot fight all of us at once comrades! I'll distract her as much as possible while you get your comrade Snow!"
"Running into the who now?" Tyro asks, finally caught up with the group. He's carrying Karl's axe with one paw like a rilfe resting on the shoulder. "What did I miss?"
Karl had galloped beside Tyro, giggling like Slyfox when he did something funny. He hadn't revealed himself, and wasn't planning to do so, but for now he was gonna idly watch the fight pan out. Except... Hey Tyro. I'm still alive. He thought, sending a psychic message to his friend beside him.
"Come on comrade Tyro, you can be told later, we need to do this before Black Night uses your captures comrade's energy to blow up the whole damned planet!" Pain yelled. "Wel", that's something we can't have." Dark said, going up beside Pain, ready to charge in and free Snow from that horrid machine at any cost.
Gaze looked at the group and he looked at Pain and shook his head "He has changed he is willing to save Snow and save the world," Gaze thought he walked beside Pain and called his group of Star Bubbles ready to save Snow and destroy Black Night.
"Huh..." Tyro thinks to himself. "I vanish for a decade and everything goes nuts. I hope there isn't a link there. I mean, we're now working with the maniac that blew up Canterlot." The slight twinge Tyro got from his head alerted him to the astral presence of Karl next to him. "Oh yeah! And Karl's dead. Clocky won't be happy..." Tyro said that last sentence to Karl, whom he could see. It's all complicated occular stuff that I'll cut down to simply 'It makes sence that a spirit fox can see a spirit pony'. One small problem, Tyro now looks as though he's talking to thin air. Tyro rushes up with the group, hobbling forwards on three legs with the axe ready. "I shall go on as I started out with you guys: Not in full understanding of the facts. Should I die, look for that necklace I sent with Sulphy." He looks towards Dark: "Also, I've been throwing a few bits aside for ten years for Midnight. Birthdays and such..."
"Now, remember everypony, you will not be able to truly fight with Black Night until me and Snow find out how we can make Snow Light again. Until then, just do your best to hold out ok? CHARGE!" Dark said, leading them into the black fog in front of them, virtually blinding them.
Firebreeze let out a war cry as he charged into the smoke. He couldn't see a thing, but that didn't stop him from blindly continuing forward.
Tyro was about to charge when he stopped, thought about it and then decided on a better idea. He creates a flame in his paw and flings it into the smoke. If anything, it was the equivelent of throwing a stone into the dark. It's good to check if anything will snap you up safely.
Karl grinned as the ponies vanished from his sight. He simply walked into the wall and began prancing out of Equestria. He was taking a small trip to the Griffin Kingdom to meet up with an old friend of his. Hopefully she could get a physical body for him to occupy.
"Alright comrades, gather to my voice, let Dark go get your friend, she is most able to blend!" Pain called. Dark decided she would be better to fly than to run to the machine. She took off and after a few second of flying, slammed into a glass ball. "Dark!" Snow cried from the bubble. "Don't you worry Snow, I'm going to get you out of here!"
Firebreeze followed Pain's voice until he nearly ran into him. He gave Pain a nod as to confirm he was ready for anything. Fire still didn't trust Pain, but this wasn't the time to be worrying about such things.
