(Yay, plot) Arrows was at a nearby blacksmith carving his bow. "I'm still a bit worried about this whole incident, Pain could be planning something right at this moment in that cell.." He thought to himself. He walked outside and trotted down the busy street.
Tyro wonders in, pulling his hood from off his face as we wonders inside. He can't help but scan the gate Karl had found from somewhere and proceeded to scribble on the ground from. Whatever he was doing, it was likely to be rather big. "How are you allowed to do this? Why are there guards outside taking orders from you? And where did that come from?" Tyro says, pointing to the gate. "And how did you get it in here without anypony noticing?"
(Time to start the main plot line!) In the clearing, all went suddenly black, black in as you have lost all senses, no bearing, and can't feel a thing. When everything returned, Snow was gone, and not only Snow, but the Dual Pegasus Amulet as well. The only thing that ha changed was a simple letter carving on a tree, one that any long time friend of Snow's would have reconized, a sharp B over a N, the symbol of Black Night, the true meaning of evil. An Alicorn powerful enough to even defeat Pain, Black Night was the Queen of Nightmares, Horrors, and all things evil, and she was returning.
Firebreeze had eventually returned home, ignoring Snow's message, as he felt like being alone. He sat on his cloud and looked around Ponyville.
Gaze suddenly awoke to find himself on the bench in the middle of New Canterlot he stretched his legs he must have gotton tired posting the wanted signs of Karl around New Canterlot. He got from the bench and got his Star Bubbles out he looked back to see the letters B and N carved into the bench he shrugged and got on his Star Bubbles flying home back to Ponyville so he could work on his music he was almost finished until Karl had decapitated that poor pony.
Arrows suddenly found the letters B and N carved into his bow while polishing it. They were glowing in a faint black aura. "Um... I never remembered carving that in... I should get somepony to check this out, I know nothing about magic..." He head of to visit Snow and ask about it.
Winter looked around the clearing frantically, "Snow, honey, where are you?!" he called continually, beside Midnight's, "Mom? Mom come out, you're scaring us!". Then Winter noticed the mark, and his eyes grew wide with fear, "Dark Shine, it's her, Black Night, Black Night's returned!" Snow woke to find herself trapped in a small glass chamber that sat in an arm of a massive machine shaped like a jug, and on the other side, Snow could just barely see the Duel Pegasus Amulet suspended in a white fluid. Snow's attention drifted to the front of the machine, where a very familiar black Alicorn stood, fiddling with equipment, "Black Night." Snow whispered to herself.
Dark Shine looked around, clearly worried. "Snow? SNOW?!" He then turned to Winter, not even noticing the missing Amulet. "Who is this Black Night?! Please tell me!"
Karl tilted his head while looking at Tyro. "Lithians. Or well... LPWs. Ever heard of 'em?" He looked at Tyro a brief moment, then turned and turned and walked to the gate and inspected it. "Ofcourse you don't, so let me show you." He turned to face Tyro, closed his eyes and said, "Kira Zina Lekara." As souls rose up from the ground flying all over the room, around the four pillars that stood in the corners. He then shouted, "Dema Lavs Kino!" The souls all lashed out for him and crawled all around him. One by one they vanished as they found a spiritual entry point. His stomach. When they all had vanished he stood left, breathing a bit heavy from the exhaustion of absorbing so many souls at once. "It's...called *hah* soul power or spiritual theft. Only problem is, it's hard to maintain your concentration. You do that and..." He held up his crystallite hoof and pointed it at a pillar. "This happens. Except to you." Suddenly, a soul lashed out from the hoof and changed form to a force, breaking the pillar in half, with the top one hanging. "It's like magic for those without horn. Except it's dangerous, as all my spells." Several souls lashed out again and held the hanging part of the pillar, ripped it out and put it safely to the ground, then wen't back inside his hoof. "The guards are actually hypnotized. Otherwise they wouldn't have left either you or me in." He turned to the gate, but before they would begin, he asked, "Any questions, Tyro?" (Please have me and Tyro out of the plot for now, we may come back from The Rift and in the process, get thrown into the plot.)
(Huh, so me and Karl are basically the B-story for now. Cool.) And now confronted with a powerful and dangerous force, Tyro broke out the technical jargon as he studies the crystaline hoof with a terrorfied curiosity. You might study a gun pointed at your forehead in the same way. "That's some baaad ju-ju, right there..." He looks Karl over for any other points of mutation. "Seriously, this is some baaad stuff. There's a reason creatures that can take a soul, myself included, consume it rather than store it. They don't like being boxed in and enslaved, usually..." Tyro moves forwards, curious about the glass hoof. He raised a paw to try and touch it but hesitates. He puts the paw back down again and wraps his tails around himself comfortingly. "You turn into one heck of a monster using that stuff." You could see a cool sweat make the fur under his fringe glisten.
Karl looks down to cover his face with darkness. "But how can i turn into a monster, when i already am one?" He looks back up. "But yes, the souls don't like being captive, but they have no choice. They can't match against my power." He trots over to the right side of the gate and turns around, putting the crystallite hoof on the side of the gate. "Now, lets begin shall we?" He says with a wild smile, tilting his head in a creepy manner. "Gera Vica Pola!" He shouts, forcing the souls to come out of his crystal hoof, circling around the gates form. "This is one of the unique uses of the LPWs. You see, the place we're going to cannot be reached any other way than this. I would've done this even without you coming here, as it is time..." He paused a bit before saying, "For me to take a step up in the foodchain." As the rest of the souls left his body, the gate began glowing ominously before opening with a explosion. "It's time, Tyro! Time for you to meet the man who created it all!" He shouted as he took Tyro and dragged him inside the gate. To The Rift, where The Clockmaker was waiting.
Suddenly, he was regretting the choice to come along. As Karl created a magical force to tow the scared fox behind, Tyro was considering whether to see if his claws could get any purchace in the stone floor. He attempts to scratch out a paw hold but only manages to make a few frantic marks as he floats towards the swirling light in that gate. Those human's built that? Seriously?! Nothing was near-by and his heart was attempting to beat it's way out of his chest. He couldn't grab anything to slow himself down. He screws up his eyes and waits for the world on the otherside. He was expecting an abyss that seemed to be staring back... He slips through the gate.
Karl looked around the psychedelic landscape. "Here we are! Welcome to The Rift, the spot of land inbetween dimensions! Also, this is the only place where you can meet The Clockmaker himself!" He looked at the scared fox. "Oh, there's nothing to be afraid of! Well, except for what The Clockmaker con do to ya, but you wouldn't feel that anyway!" He points with the crystaline hoof towards an old house. Infact, it's the only thing that stands out in the whole place. "Thats where he lives. He probably felt the gate open, so we should hurry." He picked up the fox and helped him stand up. "If you wan't to find out about my curse, Talk to him. He gave me it." He starts trotting towards the old house.
Winter turned to Dark Shine, "Black Night is quite literally the stuff of nightmares. She wants nothing more than to kill EVERYONE, she's more evil than Pain, more powerful than the royal family, and worst of all, she's a genius." Winter then noticed something was missing about Dark Shine, "Um, Dark? Where's your amulet thing?"
Dark Shine shuddered. "What are we going to do?! We HAVE to rescue Snow!" Dark Shine's head shot up as an idea sparked in his head. "The Elements! Snow made it so we can communicate with eachother! Maybe I can contact Snow! And if not, then I can get the rest of the elements to help rescue her!" He then looked to the mark on the tree.
"Uh Dark, we don't even know where Snow is. And even if you could contact Snow, she probably won't have any idea on where she is either." Winter said, "Get the Elements together, go to Tremalion and OPIAT, they probably have a better chance of being able to find her than us."
Dark nodded. "One last thing. Where are Tremalion and OPIAT? I dont know where they are located." Elements, if you can read this thought this is an emergency! Snow has been taken! Black Night has arrived! We must rescue her by going to Tremallion! This is urgent!
"They should be in Canterlot, you get the Elements to go there, and I and Midnight will sound the alarm here in Ponyville, alright?" Winter said.
Firebreeze heard Dark Shine's message and sighed, "I guess we're gonna have an interesting day today..." He jumped off his cloud and flew towards New Canterlot.
