"Well, of course." Tyro said, looking back over to the stairs. "But how about you introduce yourself first? I'm gonna go and guess that you a sort of organic mechanic?"
"Ah, yes. Sadly, i'll think you'll find my role in this very... mighty, so to speak." He reached out a hand against the fire, allowing it to travel through the air to his hand, flowing gracefully around it. "I am The 43rd Clockmaker, Keeper and Creator of Time." He simply said. The fire flowed to his palm and formed into a burning sculpture of clock ticking as time passed. "I keep the keys of Time away from the wrong hands, hoofs or paws." He let the fire land down on his hand to create a small fire ball. "But, i am not The real Clockmaker. I am merely a reincarnation of the soul who create Time." He inhaled and blew out the fire, allowing it to return to its original place. "You see, everytime the universe gets destroyed, only time is left. And out of that sliver of Time left, a New Clockmaker is born, allowing him to restore time and create his descendants. I am the 43rd reincarnation, as this is the 43rd universe created from the beginning one." He puts down the hand on the right side of the armchair. "Does that answer your question?" He asks Tyro with his low, fatherly voice.
"Huh...Time's cylconic and your the one that kick-starts everything. I guess that makes some crazy sort of sense..." Tyro replies, pondering. So he's talking to Old Father Time, huh? No real proof of that of course but he did just swallow fire. It doesn't make sense to start a fight. "All right. So if you jump start time every so often, what do you need Karl for? I can't see much point in having a maniac run around."
"I can kickstart Time, yes. But i cannot create material worlds like yours." He looked out the window. "Thats my childrens job, the Descendants." He reached out a finger, and catched a breeze, allowing it to run across his hand. "They create worlds for your kind, and everything else to live on." He then sighed and said, "But they can't destroy anything..." He paused and then said, "I use Karl for destroying those worlds. He has the title of Destroyer of All Worlds." He looked at Tyro for a brief moment and then wen't back to the fire. "But over time he's gotten independent of me. I think that's good, ofcourse, but that means that he destroys the worlds slower and slower. I've tried to create replacements but he's just destroyed them." He sighed and continued gazing into the fire. "Some creatures have called him Omega and others have dubbed him as a god. I don't think that role fits him, but i can't control what he does."
"Huh..." Tyro said, tipping his head with his mouth wide open. Can you blaim him? He's having his universal view rejiggered. "So...Karl is your Grim Reaper? That's why you have him kill? The sake of balance?! So it that what the upgrade's for? Make him a better killing machine?" He was trying to keep his temper in check. Although, what was he going to do? Create him to death? Wait...Karl's still upstairs though...
Karl could hear the conversation from upstairs. "Huh. So thats what i'm made for. Well, it's what i do, so i can't blame 'im..." He trots over to the window showing the front side of the house, with the closed gate a small distance away. He sits down and starts meditating. He had put his weapons in the upper left corner of the room, tilting on the wall. "Independence, huh? Then i'll become a little bit more, eh?" He says, small souls starting to fly in a circle around him. The 43rd Clockmaker sighed. "I understand that you're angry over my decision, but he's the only pe-pony right now thats keeping the worlds in check. Without him, The Void would become overfilled and the worlds would collide with eachother... Unless i could get another one." He looks at Tyro, then turns his gaze into the fire. "But you wouldn't want to become such a thing, now would you?" He looks into the fire with a tired look.
"Err...No. I don't want to sound mushy but I was created to preserve, not destroy so you can scratch me off your list of potentials." Tyro says, unable to keep his eyes off Karl for the time being. The tips of Tyro's tails flick backwards and forwards, slipping into the fire and back out again as he absent mindedly watches the souls fly around Karl. "What are you supposed to do if Karl is ever captured?" Tyro asks.
After everypony had turned around, the sound of a printer filled the room, "Ok, you can turn back around." there was a good sized map on the floor with a black spot on one part of the map, "The spot is where Black Night is, and that's where Snow and the amulet is."
"Be warned, you may have to face an enemy that you can not defeat yourself, yourself." OPIAT said, "Tremalion will teleport you all to the place." Tremalion stepped forward and slammed his hooves on the ground, lightning striking each element, and Pain, and they disappeared.
"If Karl is captured, then he helps himself by coming here. There is a way to travel here faster, but only the caster can travel here." He said with a fatherly voice. He then notices how Tyro is looking at Karl, and asks, "You also have the ability to capture souls, am i correct?" He looks over to Karl, and utters the words, "Volum Geva Lopus." He reaches out a hand to the small soul spiral Karl has created, shaping a new soul into it. "Kino Beti Zis." He says, letting go of the new soul and allowing it to catch in the soul spiral, differing in color from the others. "Souls have a big variety in them, but if you can create souls like i, you can create helpful one that doesn't mind them being used." He turned to look at Tyro. "You know about another way of using them, am i correct?" He asks Tyro.
Tyro's ears bashfully droop. He avoids eye contact as his tails wrap around his paws, still quite warm to the touch. "Yeah...I can steal energy. All Kitsune can, or Chi depending on where your from. It's how I breath fire and survive direct magic. I cheat, I always cheat, by absorbing the energy. It's been the one reason I'm still here. But we can also...Go overboard when we attempt to take energy from a living creature." Tyro looks up, waving his paws. His eyes are wide and insistant. "I've never done it. I sware! I don't even know how you'd do it." he calms down to continue. "But I've seen a Kitsune drain everything from her. Her eyes dull, muscles powerless and her skin was drained of colour. He took much more than what I do which is just enough to get by. A couple hours sleep and your fine." His eyes thin, cautious of The Clockmaker's motives. "I did say that most creatures devour souls rather than store them like trained seals. Demons and such...Why would you want to know that?"
"Well, that opens up a new range of possibilitys. You see, i am a being of infinite energy. And one would wonder how much energy one could take, and what would happen if enough was consumed." The 43rd Clockmaker looks at Tyro, crystal eyes defining every detail of his furry friend. "Well, i suppose i could find another energy-stealer elsewhere, i suppose." He looks at Karl and says, "Karl! Don't try to increase your soul counter! It won't work anyways." He then looks back at Tyro. "I'll give you a challenge. You see, the fire is a so called 'Cursed Flame' and even when one throws it into water, it won't extinguish. It's because it has infinite energy like me, but unlike me, it constantly burns it away. If you could stop it from wasting energy, then you would put out the flame. You do that, and i'll give you an item that'll give you access to this realm whenever you wan't too." He looks at Tyro, then switches to the flame. "But only if you're up for it."
Dark Shine nodded, looking around as the lightning hit him. Tremallion really has the only cool way of teleportation.
Tyro stares into the fire, watching it for a second. "I could just drain it but I'm not touching something with a name like that. You are what you eat..."
"Well, atleast it worked with Karl..." He stands up from the chair and walks over to Karl. "Boyo, you're getting your upgrade." Karl didn't react and simply continued meditating. "See? Independant." He said to Tyro. He put a his palm on Karls shoulder, and uttered, "Jokul Aven Poria." Suddenly, Karls replacement sprouted out spikes on the shoulder, around the base of his leg and the ankle. His tattoo engravements began glowing a faint light blue, while his right eye turned into a crystallite one. He broke his meditation and stood up, embracing The 43rd Clockmaker in a tight hug. "Thanks Clocky. I'll use this to my best." He looked over to Tyro. "Have any more questions?" He said before breaking the hug, and walking over to Tyro.
"I got three..." Tyro said. He had a slight smirk that he might have just gotten away with sharing Karl's duties. He gets up and starts to walk towards the two. "One: Do you have to choose a successor just before the end of this universal cycle or can you pick one before hand?" He watches the spikes and the new eye form. "Secondly: You know that me and everypony else in Equestria won't let him do as he pleases right? I gotta bring him in." He then comes to a stop beside The Clockmaker and Karl. "Thirdly: If you ever get the chance to go travelling, can you tell a witch named Toivo that I'm still alive and well? She's probably the easiest to find..." He looks to the upgraded Karl. "We off then?" He said, nodding towards the gate.
Clocky looks at Tyro with an ensuring smile and says, "First: I am reincarnated, so it is the same person you talk to, although different personalities. Secondly, i know that Karl needs to be taken to prison, but don't expect him to be there for long. And thirdly, i'll make sure to visit her when i have time on my hands." He looks at Karl, then Tyro. "Nemik Vako Pilo." Is the last words Karl says before they're both sent back to where thay came from, landing on the floor infront of the gate in which the portal had opened. "I guess now we go to prison, right?" Karl asks Tyro. (Get it? TIME on his hands? It's funny, goddamnit!)
Right when Karl and Tyro returned to the realm of the Royal family, lightning struck them, taking them to the great cave where the others gathered outside of.
