Luna's Guards

There are many theories one could go with, one strong one being is that the armour is magical. Take for example this, all guards (whether Solar or Lunar) look the same for the most part. Celestia mostly have pure white pegasus ponies with blue eyes and gray unicorns with gold eyes as her guard, the only thing that would make sense apart from genetic enginnering is that the armour changes their appearance so they look the same. It would make sense that Luna's guards are the same, having armour that changes their appearance to have dark gray coats, black tails, tufts of hair on the tips of their ears, bat-like wings, and cat-like slit pupils.

Yet dispite what I just said I also enjoy the half dragon idea and see no reason there cannot be half breeds between dragons and ponies. Part of the reason for this is that I like the idea of Rarity and SPike being a possible couple and even perhaps have a child though that isn't requires. At the very least I see no reason why a pony and dragon cannot being together in a relationship, even if they can't have children.

 

I do not attest that ponies can mate with dragons, but I do attest that Luna's Guards are Dragon ponies.... They Look more like bat ponies...

Think about it. When faced with the immortal question what represents night the most between a Bat and a Dragon, the answer is definitely a Bat. With that said Luna is the Princess of "Night" which logic would point to them being Bat ponies, at least that what they were intended to be.

Now if the debate is could ponies mate with Dragons, then I'm very sure yes they could.

But pertaining to the Poll question. Then no, they just can't possibly (In my Mind) Be dragon ponies....

 

And yet bat ponies make less sense then dragon ponies. We already have down how drapon ponies come about but how do bat ponies come about? That and didn't forget the guards eyes.
