Ever since the first Spider-Man movie, Marvel got the idea to make a movie of each of their comic book heroes. Which of these movies was your favorite?

    As for me,

    Worst movie:
Probably the first Hulk movie (2003). The first half of the movie was incredibly boring, the second half was just the Hulk smashing stuff. The story (if it even had one, i can't remember) wasn't captivating at all.

    Runner-up Worst movie:
I'm gonna have to say the Spider-Man Trilogy here. Just for one reason. Toby Maguire!
Okay, he was a decent enough "Nerdy Peter Parker", and probably it did well for the first movie. But Toby remained a nerdy character for the rest of the series. I had a hard time imagining his face behind the Spider-Man mask the whole time, and his one-liners were just horrible (though i guess the writers are to blame for that one).

I'm looking forward to the upcoming "The Amazing Spider-Man" movie. Andrew Garfield looks like a much better actor to play Peter Parker. Give him glasses and he turns into the nerd you need him to be. Take them off and he's the kick-*** witty Spider-Man he should be.

    Best movie:
Without a doubt, The Avengers. I thought this movie was gonna be horrible, because there was no way they could fit 5-6 marvel heroes in one movie and make them all stand out enough. However, they did a surprisingly good job at fitting them all in, make all of them interesting, and most importantly, they found a way to make all of the characters work together like a team throughout most of the movie.

    Runner-up Best movie:
X-Men First Class. I found the story quite interesting alltogether. I loved how they pulled some of the old and original X-Men out of the box and focussed a story around them. I was sceptical about James McAvoy playing the role of Xavier, but he did a damn good job.

    ---

EDIT: Due to poll restrictions, i could only post 10 options, so i probably missed a few movies.

I agree with your best movie. I am a super Marvel nerd and was waiting on the Avengers Assemble to come out since I got to read the comic it is based around. They changed some of the characters BUT in my opinion it made it a lot better.
I also agree with your worst choice in movie. Hulk became much more developed in a group movie than his own :sigh: Why Marvel? Why?

Iron Man. Incredible film. Iron Man 2 was good, but not great, like the first.

Runner up is first Spiderman film.

Least favorite I've seen is Spiderman 2.

Honestly, the Iron Man parts are what made The Avengers worth watching.

Seriously, that's what i like most about the new movie.

First version: "You're the one who's out, gobbie! Out of your mind!" *badum-tssh*

New version: "You seriously think i'm a cop, wearing a skin-tight red and blue suit?"

Seriously, try playing that *badum-tssh* sound after every one-liner in the original movies, i swear it fits!

I really liked Edward Norton as the 2008 Hulk, and I wished he would have stayed on, but I think Mark Ruffalo did a fantastic job. Or his lines were just great. Either way, The Avengers is my favorite on the list, with 2003 Hulk being my least favorite for the same reason most people disliked it.

I love Ang Lee's Hulk! I thought it was really cool that instead of the typical brainless smash-and-bash people were expecting, he went for a psychological thriller that tried to analyze what makes Bruce Banner tick and examine why he has so much rage. Personally, I was extremely disappointed with The Amazing Spider-Man. It seemed like they were trying to appeal to Twilight fans and if you saw how poorly written and groan-inducing that movie was, that should tell you something. This is not the Spidey I know and love. Sam Raimi's trilogy was.

Avengers and Ironman ROCKED! Avengers may have topped my old fav of Transformers (TF is originally Marvel comics by the way.)

The one I dislikes the most was the 03 HULK... First Class was okay.. had fiancee pointing out all the incorrect things in it though.

The Avengers, definitely, though I quite liked Spider-Man 2 as well (mainly because of Molina) :)
