He nodded. "It's a deal, then. Maybe I can even swing you a part, if you want. A lot of ex-fighters get into the movie business, y'know."
Cannonball smirked. "Yeah? When was your last professional match, then? Celebrity's a fickle b*tch, Az. You're either at the top of your game, or you're a has-been."
"That should be interesting," Rose said quietly as she entered, "Equestrians just love the undead, or anything abnormal."
She nodded, and helped herself to a glass of wine, to which she added a few ounces of of suspicious red liquid from a flask. "Maybe so, but I can tell from experience that being chased by angry villagers isn't fun." ******************************************************** Rain shot Navaja a glance, ignoring the others at the table. "So, any plans for after dinner?"
"Well, most ponies would be wise not to try and chase a four hundred pound zombie." ~~~~~~~ Navaja shrugged. "Snoop around the ship for suspicious items?"
Rose shook her head. "Of course you'd think that. But can you really bring yourself to hurt a bunch of scared and stupid ponies who are only trying to protect themselves? We're just monsters to them." ********************************************************************** Rain nodded. "Sounds boring. I'll join you." It wasn't a question, or a request. She was simply informing him of what would be happening.
"To protect myself. I'm not much for running." ~~~~~~ "So... You have your answer?" Navaja asked with anticipation.
Rose sighed. "It's easy to fight back. It's a lot harder to deal with the consequences. When you're watching a colt weep over the bodies of his parents, it's pretty hard to justify not running from the fight." Her tone made it clear she spoke from experience. "Running away isn't always a sign of cowardice. Sometimes, it's the only way to be merciful." ********************************************************************* Rain grinned slightly. "Of course. I know where all the suspicious items are kept. "
"Accidents happen. It's... easy to forget how fragile ponies can be." ******************************************* She giggled, an odd sound coming from her. "Why, I'm certain I have no idea what you're talking about."
Azrael nodded. "Indeed. But they should know better than to attack so hastily." ~~~~~~ Navaja smirked. "I'll take that as a yes."
Rose sighed. He spoke with a great deal of confidence, but she doubted that he'd ever really been forced into the situation they were discussing. "Just... remember what I said. We're monsters to them. It's only natural for them to be scared." Cannonball took the moment to add his own thoughts. "You could always claim to be the son of the original Azrael. I mean, yeah, in the ring, they'd tell everypony you're Azrael, back from the dead, but let them think it's just an act. It'd be a lot easier for everypony involved." ********************* She shrugged, and winked before turning back to her meal.
Navaja rolled his eyes, butting in. "Cannonball, he's homosexual, and nearly everypony knows it. Who would believe that?"
Cannonball smirked. "Surrogate mother. Artificial insemination. Happens all the time." He sat quietly, waiting for somepony else to poke holes in what he felt was an excellent plan.
Rep: Silver, would you like to attempt to find out if what Architect is saying, is actually going to happen? And, Maya, to answer your question. You could call it a Perception Filter.
