Rose approached Navaja and Rain. "Hey. We need to talk." ************************************************ The dragons had begun gathering around Apophis' diamond skeleton, examining the mile-long structure with great interest. Dragon Lord Ember wandered over after a few minutes. "So, hey... you gonna eat that?"
Navaja raised an eyebrow. "Que? What about?" ~~~~~~~~~ "You guys, save the skull!" Maya called out to the dragons. "I wanna build something with it!"
As he moved inside the bar once again, he called out for Windsor to grab him -a Lemmy- a tall bottle of some sort of ale. Within seconds, the bottle slid his way, resulting in Black stopping the drink with his hoof. "Thanks," he said as he swigged the pre-opened bottle.
"The Sisterhood has taken heavy losses," Rose said sadly. "Even counting our trainers and staff, fewer than fifty of us remain. But, our sanctuaries still stand. Our resources remain." She drew her dagger, idly playing with it. "I do not know how many of your assassins survived. More than us, I know for sure. But I have heard the rumors about your Guild. You're nearly broke." She grinned. "So, we have two groups of ponies. Both have something the other needs. So, what are we to do?" ********************************************************************** "Thank you!" Ember nodded and ran off to tell the dragons the good news.
Navaja sighed. "I suppose you're not in any position to stab us in the backs..." ~~~~~~~ Maya cleared her throat, approaching Blackened. "Dude. The bar's destroyed. You don't have to ask for anything, we're demolishing soon."
*A note appeared in a flash of golden fire. "Time to go Selena. Maya, all of your main valuables are safe, including the paintings. We apologize about the bar and we can pay for any damages if needed. Make sure the Royalty receives this next part of the message, along with the Guards, there are other civilizations, and they have taken notice of your civilization, and they have told us through our connections that they are concerned about that beam that they detected from their two warships that the Research Ship had sent for. They wish to offer aid if any is needed, using us as liaisons, and as such we are enclosing a medallion and means with which to communicate with us. -Council."*
Maya took the paper, read it over and handed it off to Nightshade. She then started gathering things like surviving potions, loose papers and drinks. "Everypony. Gather what you wanna keep, and get out. This building's like a strong breeze away from coming down."
Before he could open his mouth, he quickly looked over to Maya and then back to what he thought was Windsor; it was actually just a regular stool with no sentience. "Well, I'll be..." He quickly headed back out, taking extra precautions so as not to make the bar collapse even more.
"Buck it." Maya walked out, balancing all her recovered items on her back. "Blacky, tell Az what you told me." "Hm?" Azrael turned to Blackened, curious. "What did you tell her?"
"Oh." He didn't expect to see Az out of nowhere, but remembered what to say, swallowing a lump in his throat. "Now, I don't want you to get the wrong idea, but... You know, I like you, but even after all that we've been through together, whether it be beating demons or idiots in a moshpit, I don't know if I'm really the right stallion for you..."
Az was most certainly not there out of nowhere, being there since at least a few posts ago. Maybe one day, Blackened's word monkey would get with the program. Az nodded, taking it all surprisingly well. "Alright, that's fair."
Selena: (frowning as she read the note quickly, before saying goodbye to Maya and Dusty, before taking off and taking her notebook with her, before going into a divebomb after hitting a certain height and quickly sketching something that caused her notebook to flash as she was about to hit the ground, and she vanished as the flash faded)
After making sure everypony was out, including Windsor, Maya tossed her Iron Mare armor into the bar and held up one of her classic fire bombs. "Well. Cheers to some good times in the place, huh? Guess all good things have to come to an end..."
He felt somewhat relieved by Az's reaction. "No hard feelings, right? After all, if you wanted to take me to a concert or need me for anything, I'd still do all that with you. Oh," he began, turning over to Maya, "Cheers indeed. It's been a wild ride, and I'd hate to see it go, but I'll remember it all well."
Az shook his head. "No hard feelings, Blackened. It happens." Maya held up the fire bomb so everypony could see. "Big ending here, new beginning later. Any objections?"
Suddenly, he looked up and saw the bomb. "Not from me," he said, stepping back some so as not to get caught in the possible blast.
"Better to collapse it now than have it collapse on some scavengers," Dusty noted. "Do it." Azrael nodded. "Yes, do it. No objections from me." Asmo shrugged. "Nothing wrong with a little bonfire." "Alrighty, dudes, let's do it!" Maya threw the bomb inside, striking the armor and burning it away. Within seconds, the fire was already beginning to spread across the floor, the glow shining beautifully out of what was left of the walls.
Watching the flames rise up, he began to truly reflect on his time at this location. The memories were released by the red light emanating from the bar's remains, leaving him with a mixture of feelings. It was the time for a new beginning.
The flames crept up the walls slowly, and eventually, the whole building caved in, kicking up dirt and smoke. Rave gave a saddened sigh. "Damn... Had my first real show here." "Know how you feel, Rave," Maya said softly. "That was supposed to be our ticket to a peaceful life. Guess we gotta try again." "Think of it like a phoenix," Dusty spoke. "From the ashes, a new one will be born. We'll be building in a stripper pole, right?" Maya snickered. "We'll see, babe."
