Nightshade nodded. "Yeah, that was a rough day. You sure throw a hell of a party, Rave." ************************************************************************************ Rain was wandering around, healing the more severely injured enough to get them moving. When she spotted Navaja, she trotted over to him and gave him a quick hug. "Glad you're still alive." ************************************************************************************* Discord patted Azrael condescendingly on the head. "Sure, dead guy. You do that." With a snap of he claw, he vanished. ***************************************************************************************** Celestia took a few minutes to heal Luna's injuries, then the royal sisters said their goodbyes and flew off towards Canterlot. ******************************************************************************************* Holly came trotting down the side of the crater a few minutes later, carrying a sleeping yellow pegasus, covered in wraith ichor, on her back. She dropped Fluttershy off with Princess Twilight and the other Element bearers, then returned to Silver's side.
Maya sat and patted the ground next to her. "Have a seat, Black." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Navaja returned the hug. "And you, Rain. Suppose you're busy." ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Raven snickered, turning to go bother Dusty. "Yeah, I try, hon."
He did as Maya told him, resting on his hind legs. It was the first time in a while that he could finally sit back and not be swarmed with the thought of danger.
He turned over to Maya. "Well, I mean, I do like him," he began, "but I don't know if I love him. Definitely a great friend, but he is a lot older than I am."
"He really loves me?" he asked, oblivious to the fact that there was indeed love involved. "That's nice to hear, but I don't know if I'm the right pony for him..."
Maya rolled her eyes. "He went to a concert with you. Half the time, it's impossible for anypony to go to breakfast with him. I'm gonna guess there's something."
Rain looked around. The worst of the wounded were already taken care of, and there were plenty of other healers around to take care of the less serious injuries. "No. I'm not busy." *********************************************************************************************** There were relatively few bodies to deal with. Most of the fallen had been incinerated by the nuclear explosion. By sheer luck, the sides of the crater had directed much of the blast energy upwards instead of outwards, and the air blast radius had only extended a half-mile, barely reaching the edge of the woods.
Dusty had fallen asleep on the ground by the time Raven and Nightshade reached him. Raven snickered. "Wanna wake him up?" ~~~~~~~~ Navaja took a look around. Most of the Assassins that fought had died, aside from a few that were in the woods. He gave a small sigh. "Well... the world didn't end, but I think this marks the end of the guild."
C: (Talking in unison to Silver) You mentioned that you sealed the power of Apophis into something that needs disposed of?
Silver nodded. "Six blades. Together, they contain the stolen power of a god. A prize beyond measure, for those who would seek it. It cannot be allowed to exist in this world, or any other." *********************************************************************************** Nightshade sighed. "Maybe we should just let him sleep. Gods know we've all earned a rest. I don't suppose any healing potions survived the collapse?" ************************************************************************************* Rose gathered up what remained of the Sisterhood. A scarce two dozen remained, out of nearly three hundred. The Triumvirate, the three senior Sisters that had been in charge, had all died in Apophis' barrage. She was the highest ranking sister alive. For better or for worse, the Sisterhood was hers now.
C: So be it. We have three ideas about where it can go. As we understand one blade can only be accessed by Rep right now. One place is like where we dwell, a place that is no place, a world that is no world, etc. Another would be the controlled absorbtion of the energies and then dispersal of it, which can be dangerous. And then, probably the most dangerous idea we had, funnel the enrgy into a black hole until it causes a quasar that can be harnessed. But we're sure you have ideas.
C: One problem with the black hole plan is if another being or civilization harnessed said quasar, they would become at least Type 2 on the Kardashev Scale, an ancient, flawed, but still somewhat accurate way of measuring a civilizations advancement based on energy consumption or technology levels.
"Ah..." Knowing that the bar troupe clearly knew Az longer than he had, he knew that it wouldn't have been something he'd pick up on. "If anything at all, I'm at least glad to have him as a friend."
