*"Your bar. Sending a camera down. "* *A camera appears and with a teleprompter, the interview begins soon*
"Close enough." Maya sat up at a stool, put on her normal smile and crossed her hind legs, ready for the interview.
"I've known Raven about a decade. Kinda raised her after... well, her parents passed. She's a good kid; I like to think I did a good job. The bar's pretty new, just a couple months. As for the concert, that was my friend Nightshade's idea. Heck of a plan. Got the bar some traffic and got Raven the recognition real talent deserves."
Silver walked in. Holly, back in her Timber Wolf form, followed close behind. "Good afternoon. How is everypony today?"
*"Pretty good. How was your evening last night, Silver and Holly? -Arch"* *Text scrolls across the screen, "Thanks for your time. Do not respond audibly to this text."*
"Business as usual," Silver replied. "That was quite a show the little Bat put on last night. The princess seemed to enjoy it."
"That's good," said Raven. "How about you?" She sniffed and briefly squinted at Silver. "Well, I think I'm gonna head back out now." Maya stood up and stretched her wings.
"You are talented, little one. Perhaps someday I'll be able to see you perform when I'm not on duty."
"Maybe..." Raven tilted her head. "Get attacked today?" "Wait, why do you ask?" Maya asked curiously. "Just smelled blood for a sec," Raven answered. "Guessing it comes with the job. Curious is all."
"Oh." Maya patted him on the back. "Good job. I'd have ripped him in half if I caught it. Or knew there was a princess there..." Raven shrugged. "Guess that's what happens."
Silver nodded. "So, how did everything go? I saw Marquee in the crowd, and I am fairly certain I saw Needle Drop from Sunrise. Your doing, Nightshade?" She nodded. "I called in a favor with Marq. He took care of most of the big stuff." "Of course." He turned to Raven. "I assume you were offered a deal. Take it. I don't want my daughter dating a layabout."
"You're damn right I'll take it," Raven told him. Maya took the finished paperwork out of her saddlebag and laid it on the counter. "Nothing shady. Lot different than that Griffonstone business."
"Griffons are infamous for their greed." he replied. "They care first and foremost for bits. All else is secondary." Holly made her way to the bar and hopped onto a barstool. A moment later, she transformed into her pony form.
"I won't work with birds again," Raven said bluntly. "Don't care if that sounds racist. They tried to make me the token chick in a lame crunkcore band."
"I have not met many worthwhile Griffons since old King Guto died." Silver joined Holly at the bar. "They were once a proud tribe. It is a shame what happened to them."
"You guys have fun. If Saber slips up again, please tell me. Oh, and Raven." Maya put her hoof on the bat's shoulder. "Dusty's busy, but he wanted me to tell you he's very proud of you. He also hopes you won't forget to come chill with us old folks when you're at the top." Raven hugged her. "Not gonna, Maya. Swear on my life."
