(Windsor. And I'm think we should just make him an NPC that anyone can use, so folks can still interact with a bartender when Maya and Dusty aren't around.) Windsor shooed the stragglers out the door and locked up, then put the night's take in the safe and started cleaning.
The next morning, Maya opened the bar up with Dusty again, the two going through their morning opening rituals. Maya still had a horn on her face, and her belly was ever-so-slightly bigger than last night. "You've gained weight," Dusty teased, sitting across from her at a stool. "Your fault," she joked back. "You planted the kid."
Windsor waddled over and laid a ledger in front of them, detailing the night's profits and expenses, as well as a note to order more cider. ******************************************************************** Nightshade woke up and carefully removed herself from Raven's grip. The illusion spell she used to hide her scars had worn off, so she put it back into place and headed for the door.
Maya narrowed her eyes at the stool. "Is that a..." Dusty nodded. "Yes. Yes it is. And it appears we need to order more cider. Friend, could you detail this to Azrael when he arrives?" Raven mumbled slightly in her sleep as Nightshade left, curling up into a ball.
Windsor gave his strange little nod, picked up the ledger, and headed to the kitchen to finish prepping for the day. *********************************************** Nightshade looked back at Raven for a moment, then headed downstairs.
"Etheran, actually. That's way beyond anything I can do." She glanced over at Dusty, then back at Maya. "He explained what's going on, right?"
She nodded. "Yeah. I'm having an alicorn, and it might actually ruin me. Looks like the kid's growing quick..."
"Yeah. Unusually so." She sighed. "If there's one thing I know about Alicorn magic, it would be that it's confusing."
"Do educate us further," Dusty requested. Just then, Azrael walked into the bar with two half-regenerated eyes, a shredded coat, and a large energy weapon he heard called the 'BFG 9000' on his back. "I'm back. What did I miss?"
"Followed some new patron to hell. I kicked many demons until they died. A large, bipedal one with an arm cannon hit my head, and my eyes burst. An interesting experience."
"Gonna be okay, Az?" Maya asked. "Sounds like you got *squee!* slapped by a cyborg demon. That sounds nasty." Azrael nodded. "Perfectly fine. My new toy helped."
