"Both." Nightshade sighed. "I don't like that you're asking me to do this, but I do understand your reasons. You're a good pony, Raven. And for some reason, you've convinced yourself that I'm worth your time. So, if giving up my... hobby... is what it takes to keep you around, I guess I'm willing to do that."
"Good." Raven sighed. "Good... any more of that, and I'll... I'll think of something. Now. You can talk to Dusty, try and see if he can find anything else to fix. Maybe try and make peace with Asshat. Or, go about the day like nothing happened, I go record for a while, you have a few drinks, whatever else was supposed to go down."
"I have a class to teach, so I guess I better get back to Ponyville. Good luck with your recording. I'll see you tonight."
"Good to hear," Black replied, "I'll probably take what Maya wrote and turn it into a separate song, and I'll probably work on some words for a clean bridge later."
"Yeah, actually. Maya wrote this part on the back, and I think it would work well." So goddamn easy to write this, you make it spill on the page So drunk on yourself, self-righteous - a laughing stock of your own f*yay!*ing stage
"Hmm. Interesting direct attack. I know who it's for, but it can also be more general. Do you think you can add onto it?"
"I'm thinking this could work," he started. "Something like, "But I ain't one to call names, or throw stones in a house of glass. You try me. This is a motherf*yay!*ing invitation, the only one you could ever need. This is a motherf*yay!*ing invitation. You try me." Sound good?"
"Well, Raven does have a few songs cooking that would require a deep-voiced male vocalist. I may have snooped through her notes. Maybe I could talk to her, see about being a very occasional guest. It would save her having to hunt. I just... need some liquid courage before I sing."
Nightshade spent the rest of her day at the dojo. Being honest, most of her students were hopelessly unsuited for combat martial arts, but there were a few that seemed to have a future with the Guards. Those students were her favorites. **************************************************************************************** Silver, as he had done numerous times in the past, spent most of the day dealing with the aftermath of one of Nightshade's "episodes." This time, at least, her prey was alive and unharmed. Unharmed physically at least. Unfortunately, a mentally shattered stallion found weeping on the floor of his own destroyed office tended to raise a lot of questions... questions that Silver was finding it increasingly difficult to silence. Blackout pulled him aside after the reports were filed, and Music Critique taken away to the asylum. "Commander... this is too much. She's escalating." Nightshade had always gone after lowlifes in the past... dealers that sold to schoolponies, abusive pimps, con-artists that scammed little old mares... ponies that nopony would miss, and that Equestria was probably better off without. This was something new. A well-known music critic, attacked in his own office in broad daylight. If half of what Critique claimed was true, it was also her most vicious attack yet. "I get it. He's a reporter. He lied to sell papers. Just like what the Tattletale did to her. But what she did in there..." Silver nodded. "I know, Blackout. If she gets worse, we will not have a choice. She is dangerous. I know that. But she is still my daughter, and your friend. We will give her one more chance."
Raven would spend the rest of the day in the studio. She was feeling a little... emotional, so she would put time into angrier and darker songs, like one about the recent Trottingbine massacre. Asmo just drove around for a while. Who really knows what he was feeling? It was hard for even him to say.
Edmond: (pulling his katana out and hitting a section of the blade sixteen times on different points, the blade lighting up, then looking into it for a while before speaking up) This is getting rediculous.
As Ridley tries to remember what characters he's used so far in the RP, let's take a moment to check up on Deadbeat, Riff and Boomer. For those of you just joining us, and those of you who just don't remember, these three ponies made up Raven's band during her concert. ... They're not doing much. They're just background characters, really. I guess maybe they're in the studio with Raven? Either that or hanging out in Marq's guest house. They're staying in Marq's guest house now. Long story, that.
