"I think, perhaps..." Static withdrew his head and reached his arm inside. "...that this might be easier."
Static shook the Alicorn's hoof, withdrew his arm, and popped his head back inside. "This was much easier when I was younger." He looked over at Nova and chuckled. "Remember back when I could still fit inside a building smaller than the castle?" Nova nodded. "The moving quill writes, my dear. And having writ, moves on. Nor all thy piety nor wit shall lure it back to cancel half a line, nor all thy tears wash out a word of it."
"Indeed!" Nova said, delighted. "So you're a poetry buff, then?" (I was gonna go with Ruby Yacht, but that works too. More accurate, less punny.)
"Literature buff. If it was written on paper, there is a good chance I've read it at least once." "The brute can read?" Asmo teased with a cackle, swinging the door open. "Somepony shut him up," Azrael demanded.
Static nodded, opened his mouth slightly, and breathed a small jolt of electricity right at Asmo's hindquarters.
"Ow!" Asmo jumped. "*squee!* did I do, lizard?" "You might consider some sort of silencing spell," Dusty suggested, "though I've never found one that quieted him for more than two minutes."
"I am sure you deserved that," Static said. "My granddaughter did say you are 'a little bit of an ass.'" "Although," Nova added, "I'm afraid I just don't see the 'kinda hot, in an eldritch sort of way.'"
Edmond: (walking in and muttering) Asmo being a *squee*, normal. Ponies at bar counter arguing with Asmo, normal. Giant dragon sticking head in window, normal. Spill on floor, normal. Sword buzzing quietly, normal.
(DAMMIT NOW I'M LOSING POSTS. *squee!*ING ERRORS.) "I'm afraid not, dear," Nova said to Asmo. "But I'm sure you have a wonderful personality." Static stared at Edmond in surprise, then spoke. "Pardon me, but you seem to have a human in here. May I... may I eat it?"
Dragon asking if it can eat me, normal. Dragon being told no, normal. Let me guess, next thing it'll be asking for my name.
"To be perfectly honest," Static said, "I have little interest in you beyond your nutritional value." "You're being rude, dear," Nova scolded Static sharply. "The poor man has done nothing to you to deserve mistreatment."
"He did call him an it," said Asmo. "I mean, that's some pretty messed up, anti-draconic *squee!*. What the eff, Eduardo?" "I don't think he meant it like that," Dusty said calmly. "I was merely making sure he was aware," Azrael added.
