"Oh, wow." Maya examined her blood. "That's gonna save me some hunting trips. Thanks, dude!" She rushed up and caught Saber. "But what of Azrael?" Skydust asked.
"Thanks..." Nightshade was still a little groggy as she tried to recall where she had been. "Okay, I remember... unlighted chambers... vile drums... accursed flutes... and I think there was a frozen yogurt place. I flew around for what felt like forever, and then I found a black door in the nothingness. When I stepped through, I was here. Do you have any aspirin?"
Nightshade popped a couple of pills and set the bottle on the counter. "Thanks, but I've got to find my dad. See you all tonight." She headed outside and took off.
Azrael, I got you something a bit intangible, until a certain measure of time has passed. (Gives him a note saying to dig in a certain place in three years time). Its a Demon's Heart, grants you one wish but you can't use it to do harm to other's, nor become all powerful or immortal.
Etheran is correct. For every wish after the first, you will pay a price equivalent to the wish. You wish for ten chunks of diamond, ten chunks of diamond worth of something you have will be consumed.
It could steal enough of your soul to equal ten chunks of diamond... But the first wish will consume the Demon Heart.
"Oh, I see. But what if I feed it the souls of..." "Tell him not to do whatever he's thinking," Maya requested.
Azrael, I warn you now! You feed the Heart any souls and you have me and my warriors to deal with. Ever hear of the Darkonian Thrifistator?
"hm. name rings a bell...." Etheran murmured Berrilyn shrugged. "hey, could I try the orange pancake vodka now?"
We, my warriors and I fought it. I banished and sealed it away. This thing could eat every Universe and still be hungry.
"I can take you," Azrael boasted. "And your warriors. But I won't feed it souls. I was merely gauging your reaction."
"Please do not challenge him," Skydust warned. "He's so damn arrogant he'll try." "Not arrogant, proud," Azrael corrected.
