Dark Shine saw that Haze was on edge. He did not blame her. This place was not comforting. "Yeah sure. We can tell the others when we feel most... Safe." Having to say it like that made him feel less secure than he was already.

Something about the way the doctor grinned at the group really unnerved him, especially after the big speech regarding insane ponies and sane ponies being mostly similar. Trying to avoid notice, he slowly creeps his way out of the room. It's time to try and assuade his sudden doubts about the doctor and the facility. He starts to stealthily explore the building he's currently in for any sort of item or clue that could prove or disprove why he suddenly feels so uneasy about the doctor.
Lucky manages to sneak out of the room unnoticed by the doctor, who was distracted momentarily by more of Silver's questions. After wandering around for maybe 5 minutes, he walked into a room full of paintings. There were at least 50 of them, all stacked up in piles or leaning against walls. He didn't recognize any of them, though, and there was really nothing else in the room except for a couple small pieces of furniture.
Haze opened the door and held it open for the others. As she went in, she gave a glance towards the window beside the door again. It was probably nothing. A tap against a window couldn't be of any significance, surely? What could it possibly mean? ... But what if it really was something important, maybe someone trying to get their attention? "Guys, could you wait up a second?" Haze turned her attention back to the area she'd heard the noise.
After a thorough search of the area around the window inside the building, this is what Haze noticed: The window was closed, there was nopony on either side of it (except herself), and it was unlocked. There was nothing around the window that suggested anything unusual. If Haze stood facing the window, to the right was a long hall with two doors on the right side of the hall, which ended in a door, which was closed. Behind that door was the dining room. To the left was an extremely short hall ending in a door. Behind that door was the entryroom. Directly behind her was a long hall full of doors on either side of the hall. Two of the doors was open, one on either side of the hallway and both of them were about the same distance down the hall, and the rest of them were closed.
Haze looked around, unsure where to start. "I just feel I need to check something. I heard something weird earlier... Could you come please?" Looking down the long hall of doors, she guessed that these were bedrooms, where they would be sleeping. She wasn't all too sure what the doors down the hall to the dinning room were, but looking in them right now would be too risky. If the doctor walked out at the moment they she looked inside... The two open doors seemed to be in use, though they weren't likely to be being used for much. Haze walked up to the closest of the open doors, and checking she'd be out of sight of the other door first, she stuck her head 'round the corner and peered in, to see what was in there...
Dark Shine saw what she was doing and crept up to the other door, to make sure that she does not get sneaked up on. He then copied what Haze was doing, only on the other door.
Snow was left confused on what to do, before deciding to follow Dark Shine. Hopefully, they would find their way out of this dreadful place and get on with their hike.
When Haze looked into the room, she saw Lucky nosing around a room filled almost exclusively with paintings. He didn't seem to notice her. Dark saw the pony named Violet in the other room; she was sitting on a couch reading a book facing away from the door. The fireplace was lit, and there were bookcases filled with (gasp) books along all of the walls. She did not seem to notice him. Snow couldn't see anything except Dark and Haze looking into the doors.
The first room he comes to doesn't particularly stand out to him, as he doesn't recognize any of the paintings on the quick glance he gives each one. He figures he should still investigate the room, in case a painting is covering something important. Carefully entering the room, he starts looking through the pieces of furniture first, then checks both behind each painting and then feeling along each one in case an item is somehow hidden in the canvas.
Haze watched lucky go about his search for a few seconds, watching to see if he had any success. After a few minutes, she got bored of this, and turned away from the door. Then it occured to her- This'd be the perfect time to tell him! They'd better shut the door so nobody spied them though. And first, it'd be useful to know what's happening in the other room. "Dark" Haze whispered across the hallway. "What're you looking at?"
Dark Shine returned this with a quick "shhhhh" and a hoof over his own mouth. "In there, is Violet or something like that. She is reading. Keep quiet." He then hushed himself and returned to watching, praying she heard nothing.
Haze nodded. "Lucky's inside here- I'm going to tell him to meet us outside later" Haze snook into the room, and whispered to lucky "Pst! Hey, Lucky, this is important! Meet us outside the Asylum, at eleven o'clock! Okay?"
"Errr...yes...." Tyro also couldn't quite bring himself to look calm under such a gaze. He watches the eyes flare before forcing his vision to dart around the room. His mind fell upon his stomach. "Excuse me Doctor but I was wondering if I might find something to eat?" he asks politely. He was on the verge of needing a decent meal in him but he was hoping it would be any form of grass.
Lucky's search revealed nothing but the expected: More paintings. There didn't seem to be anything hidden in or behind any of them, but there sure were a lot of them... When Dark looked back into the room, he blinked, and then rubbed his eyes and looked again. The fireplace was still burning, but otherwise there was no sign of anypony having been in the room. Violet's book wasn't even on the couch where she had been lying. At Tyro's request, Dr. Mentis immediately became serious. "Oh, dear. I seem to have forgotten to offer you all food..." he looked around the room and noticed that only two ponies were left sitting around the table. Tyro thought he saw suspicion flash across the doctor's face, but after a moment, he relaxed and said, "I suppose all the rest of your friends have wandered off to bed, hmm? Well, all the more for us! What would you like? Or is anything okay?" he asked Tyro.
Dark Shine looked around. This was creepy. "Pssst. Haze.... She vanished. Be carefull." He wispered over to Haze, keeping his voice low, while keeping an eye out into the room.
At the sudden whispering right behind him, he quickly whirls around to face whoever has caught him. Realizing it's just Haze, he immediately relaxes and gives a friendly smile. "11, outside the Asylum. Alright, got it!" he whispers back, before returning to his search. After several moments of checking through everything in the room, he heads back out. He figures the doctor has most likely noticed his absence by now, as he has been out of the room for a while now. The next plan should be to find where the others went to rest. He starts looking throughout the building for where the sleeping members of the group might be. At the very least, maybe he will bump into one of the staff to direct him.
