Betty and Jenna hug each other excitedly, and all the kittens mew at our feet. I lay down on my stomach, and get assaulted by all the kittens, jumping on my back and pawing softly at my face.
I wince, as the soft paws start gently hitting my face "Y-yes, always." I manage to see one kitten sitting away and watching the rest of the kittens attack me. I reach over and pick the little one up and placer the little one on my head, and it pricks my head a little, spins around and lays down in a ball on my head, purring.
People start coming in to pick up their kittens, causing Jenna to jump, and rush back to her desk and greet the customers and picks out the kittens from the group. "This is always a bit of a sad time for me, especially for those who have less fortunate caregivers." Jenna says softly to you as she helps the customers. She keeps her fake smile on and most of the kittens have now left.
I sigh "look darling. She's obviously sad. There must be something we can do to cheer her up. Oooh i know. We get her two kittens of her own" i whisper
I look on and nod, standing up with a few kittens running around my legs, and the grey kitten still on my head, purring and in a ball. "That sounds like a lovely idea. She'd never say no to kittens, hehe."
Jenna finally walks back to us, looking a little exhausted and down. "Well, that was tiring. There's always the time when most of the folks finish work and such, so they all come in at once nearly. Well, there's only a few left now." She says, looking over us as we all hold the remaining kittens. Betty gives Jenna the one she's holding and she nuzzles it, smiling gently. "I always wonder if some of the kittens will come back. They do, but I'm always afraid of it."
I turn to you and nod, whispering "Yeah, okay. Good luck. Find the cutest ones.". I say as I stay by Jenna, and preparing to help when the rest of the customers come to pick their kittens up.
A tall german shepard waves and walks up to you. "Hello, welcome to my pet shop. Can I help you at all, miss?"
I flash him a big white smile "I'm looking for the two cutest kittens you have. They're for my friend Jenna"
The dog returns a smile and escorts you to the cat section, where there's 5 kittens of varying displays of black, white and grey. They all paw up against the plastic wall surrounding them. Their mother is at the back laid down on her side, watching over her little ones. "There they all are. All from the same litter." He says. "Take your pick. I think they're all very sweet and lovable."
He turns to you, tilting his head for a second, and then widened his eyes "Oh! Yes! Of course! She's a lovely girl. And what a great idea of a kitty park." He says, as he opens the cage and pulls out a couple of the kittens and places them in your paws to play with.
I giggle as the kittens play with me. "Jenna and I have been best friends since preschool" i explain to him "and she is a very lovely girl. I think she'll love this little black one with the white socks and this little fluffy grey one"
"Wonderful!" He says, petting them both gently "Is there any accessories, food, toys, you'd like to go along with that?" He asks, moving behind the counter, beckoning you over with the kittens. The other kittens look up sorrowfully at their siblings going away, and the mother meowing.
I frown "i wish i could take them all" i say sadly. "and I'll take the lot" i say suddenly giggling when the two kittens mewed at me
