Lil' bump, I suppose. You don't mind, do you? I had a funny moment with MLP on the mind today. I'm taking a class that applies programming to Meteorology and I'm learning a programming language called Fortran (I'm sure avid programmers have heard of it). Anyway, a part of today's lecture was about using a subroutine to generate pseudorandom numbers, but before that, the professor pointed to each of us and asked us to say a number at random. The first person he picked on said "34." I immediately thought, "What's on this guy's mind? " When the professor picked me, I said "244." XD He acted a little surprised that I would say such a high number. He was probably expecting a one or two digit number, haha. At the end of that he said, "See? You guys have your own reasons for coming up with the numbers you chose, but for computers, nothing is truly random." Then he explained how computers don't have the ability to be random like us. At this point I thought of Pinkie Pie. Oh, if he only knew why I chose 244. Heh. For programmers: The subroutine we were using was called RANDOM_SEED, but if I ever made a random number generator, I'd call it PINKIE_PIE. Also, it's been raining a lot here lately courtesy of the remnants of Lee, so whenever I'd walk in the rain, I'd think of Rarity and how she'd react if she got wet. Finally, I had the most random thought pop into my mind today. I was waiting outside of a classroom, with other students, for the professor to arrive to unlock the door, when I, out of nowhere, started thinking "Gee, I wonder how hard it would be to live with hooves." This is what happens when one allows my mind to wander. :/
Let's see here... • Everytime the wind gusts up, I think Rainbow Dash is practicing for the Wonderbolts again. • I often have the urge to say "Brohoof, dude!" whenever I play football with my friends and we score. • Whenever it rains outside, I'm yelling for Dash to open a section of the cloud up for me. (In my head, of course.) • I took my old 30-MPH motor scooter out for a spin today. And the whole time I did it, I imagined I was Scootaloo. (Popped wheelies, jumped up over stuff, etc.) • Whenever I mow the lawn, I seem to whistle the "Winter Wrap-Up" song for some reason. • I have the urge to draw ponies during my classes.
I almost had a quote slip-up today! While working on another lab in my "Principles of Atmospheric Measurements" class, we were trying to experimentally find the value of the latent heat of vaporization, which involved a small amount of water on a hot aluminum block. Anyway, one part of the lab involved writing down the time it took the water to evaporate. In two runs it was 10 seconds. I almost said, "Wow. 10 seconds flat?!" Although, I stopped myself. I probably could've said it and it wouldn't have mattered.
When do I think of ponies? When not doing math or programming. SOmetimes. Maybe. I use Everypony and everybody/one somewhat interchangeably. if there is no music in the background, I will start humming pony music. All of it. Anything I miss?
Recently said somepony again at work a few days ago, this time they heard it. Hilarious because I'm random enough at work to get away with it as though it were normal behavior. :Fluttershygalalaugh:
Heh heh heh... I really need to go back... I kind of miss college, if you know what I mean. Speaking of Programming, I've been working on a Fire Emblem 7 modification using the Nightmare Editor. (No Pun intended.) I've been planning on making it about 20% more difficult. Personally, I think that all of the AMERICAN RELEASED Fire Emblem games were too easy. Therefore, I am increasing ALL ENEMIES STATS by 20%, meaning if Enemy A has 10 strength, it will be increased to 12, as with all other stats. If Enemy B has 20 Speed, it will have 24 speed. See where I'm going with this? I'm going for huge amounts of challenge, with a few pony stuff thrown in here and there. However, as a result of this, I have also increased the Growth Rates of our protagonists by 20%. So if Eliwood's Speed growth is 60%, his new speed growth is 72%, and so on. Here's a quote from Batta the Beast, the first boss you fight in the tutorial level; "Who the heck do you think you are? This'll be over in 10 seconds flat!" Ponification shall occur when I get a spriter/animator to make pony animations for everyone; then my life's goal will be complete, filled with OC's and ponified versions of Hector, Eliwood, and Lyn. :derpe: As said before, my obsession with Fire Emblem knows no bounds!
If I had a single artistic bone in my body, I'd do (Sprite/Animate/Portraitize) it... but I don't. All I'm good at is writing stories and reading books. Also, the story is going to be revised too, but it's going to be similar to the vanilla version. However, I CAN come up with pallettes for the new classes; so that's not a problem.
Well fine. I'd still play it though rpg that's 20% harder and character can permanently die. I so there.
i did just recently had a fight with my mother about MLP tonight lol as well as thinking about it well... -when i hear any song i always twist the lyrics to where its about ponies -when i walk around school i usually randomly start humming the MLP theme -a couple of days ago i did dream that i flew with rainbow dash -i do usually talk in pony language saying things like "oh my celestia" "good luna night" and so on
I had three random MLP:FiM thoughts today while on campus: 1) In my weather forecasting class, we have this thing called the Picture of the Day. That's when certain students choose a picture (either one from the Internet or one they've taken themselves), and briefly explain some of the meteorology behind it. Anyway, one of the student's photos today was a double rainbow. It was linked to their Facebook page, and they wrote down "Double rainbow all the way. So intense!" as part of the description! I almost laughed out loud when I saw that, because it immediately made me think of not only Rainbow Dash and the song, but Double Rainbow "Dash" as well. Someone also posted a comment saying, "Do I see a third rainbow? Triple rainbow. Too intense!" Funny stuff. 2) In my weather communications class, we were talking about business models and some ways the media industry makes money. The professor at one point used the expression, "pony up." I could've sworn my ears twitched when I heard the word "pony." My Pinkie senses were tingling. lol. 3) While sitting on a bench, waiting for a bus to arrive, my mind began to wander and I starting thinking about the most random thing: About the comic that says, "I'm Rainbow Dash and I dash off." I was thinking about how that'd work with the other characters, besides Applejack obviously. I was thinking, "I'm Twilight Sparkle and I sparkle off? No, that doesn't sound right." "I'm Fluttershy and I shy off? Heh. Sounds funny" "I'm Pinkie Pie and I pie off? What does 'pie off' even mean?" "I'm Rarity and I... hmmm... how can I do that with Rarity's name, anyway?" The bus eventually arrived, interrupting my pony thoughts.
wow...well I don't think I could specifically point out any one thing, but I'm thinking about ponies the entire day when I'm at work for the most part. My job includes a lot of repetitious tasks that I don't even have to think about doing them to do them...so I just let my brain wander and it pretty much instantly goes to ponies.
My mom called me a dodo the other day. It was maybe a day or two after I had watched Season Two's premiere. I was on EPR at the time, simply chatting, and for whatever reason (can't remember XD), she called me a dodo. All I could think of was that moment in S2E1. I actually, 100% legit, laughed out loud, after trying to hold it in for a few moments. ...Mom was so confused. <3
My dad simply shakes his head, he doesn't know what on Earth to think... XD Anyways, I'll say my two cents worth about MLP "on the brain"... :derpe: ...to begin with, ponies. Living in the country, why would I not, often have a reason to think of such? Basically, I have a classmate crazy about horses. IRL horses and noisy in class... Spoiler: Example 1 *narration* Classmate: *Something about horses tournament, going to Australia for horses tournament in the future, hurting her leg in tournament, talking about her ponies* Me: *....basically, totally alert from the word pony. And going, ooooh ponies!* *end narration* ...maybe not the best thing for me to be thinking about, in math class though... :derpe: And then, there's my Poke-fandom. It's almost integrated with that as well... Spoiler: Example 2 *doodling in math papers, Pikachu ears on images (allowed somewhat, not textbook, activity book)* ...thinks, "Ponies!" for no reason... *suddenly starts drawing a Pikapony. And then a Blastoise-pony. And then my math teacher gets annoyed...* And then, I also hum pony music, it gets in my head often... Aditionally, I use pony terms like everypony and nopony, sometimes with my family. ...not enough? Agreed.
You beat me to it. The words plot and shipping, no longer have the same meaning. At work, I hear the word plot I instantly thing of baby got flank. If I hear the word shipping, my brain thinks apple/dash. Don't judge me.
And I thought that I was the only one D: I don't have much to do, so my mind also wanders into the pony zone. My job is one of the most boring/automatic (data entry), so I don't really need to think too PS: Darn be my cellphone!
