Hey Guys ready for an adventure? Well hold on because this fanfic is going to keep you glued to your computer screen until you’ve finished it! Part one: A New Friend and a Mysterious Enemy. It was a fairly regular day in Ponyville. Twilight and Fluttershy were on a small shopping spree. They were just exiting the market when they saw a large moving van and a lot of commotion. “I wonder what all this is about.” Fluttershy said. “It looks like a new pony is moving into Ponyville.” Twilight suggested. “He is a Pegasus too, do you know him?” “It looks like he is moving into that house that has been empty for years, the one down the street from Sugarcube Corner. Why don’t you say hi Fluttershy I’d like to meet him?” “Uh…I don’t know…He looks kind of busy and all…” said Fluttershy. “Oh come on it won’t hurt…and it will make him feel welcome.” Twilight said. “Well…uh…I…guess…alright” and Fluttershy flew up to where the pale brown pegasus was directing the offloading of the few possessions he had. He spotted Fluttershy slowly flying up to him. ”Well hi there.” He said with a broad smile on his face.” I’m new here, I just moved in from Cloudsdale. My name is Skylark what’s yours?” “I uh…my uh…hello…I’m…” But before she finished Fluttershy made a dash and flew away. ”Well…ok, see you around!” But she had already flown away. Skylark is an average Pegasus from Cloudsdale, with a pale brown coat, black mane and brown eyes. Had just moved out of his home town in seek of a job. His plans were to get acquainted with all the ponies in town then find out if there were and jobs around. He had quite a sweet tooth at the moment so he decided to go to the sweet shop up the street from him. He entered the small quiet shop. The two shop owners greeted him. ”Hello dearie.” “Hi.” He said. “I’ve never seen you around here.” “Yeah I’m new here, I just moved in today. My name is Skylark.” “I’m pleased to meet you, I’m Mrs Cake and this is my husband Mr Cake” “Charmed” Skylark said. “What can we do for you?” Mrs Cake asked. “I’m just here to buy a something small, like a chocolate cupcake.” At that moment another pony entered the shop. She was bright pink and had a very large puffy out of control mane. As soon as she spotted the new visitor she let out a long…loud…gasp then dashed out the shop. “Who was that?” Skylark asked. “Oh that was one of our staff Pinkie Pie. Don’t mind her she is always like that” Mrs Cake said. “Okay then” Skylark paid for the cupcake and left. He went to his new house to take a short nap. But when he entered what did he find…You guessed it a party. He was immediately greeted with great enthusiasm from Pinkie Pie. ”Hi I’m Pinkie Pie you’re new here aren’t you? You have to meet the ponies of Ponyville and before he could say anything she pulled him away and introduced him to nearly every pony in Ponyville. The next morning he woke up there was a large mess in his house. After cleaning it all up he decided to meet up with Rainbow Dash, a fellow Pegasus whom he saw numerous times in Cloudsdale and saw again at the party the previous night. He found her flying at top speed across the sky and decided to try catch up to her. It took a lot of effort but he managed to get her to slow down and stop. He asked her if there were any jobs for him. After discussing the subject Rainbow Dash asked if he wanted to have a race. Rather foolishly he accepted it. They both took off at top speed and hadn’t flown too far away from Ponyville of when they nearly crashed into another Pegasus. This one was in some sort of suit with a small skull on the front. The Pegasus stopped and yelled at them. “Hey watch where you are going! You don’t know who you are messing with here!” “Oh really?!” Rainbow Dash yelled back. “Yeah Really!” and the pegasus flew away dropping something out of the sack he was carrying. It fell to the ground. Rainbow Dash picked it up. It was some kind of solid gold pendant with two alicorns encircling a small planet carved into it. ”What the heck is this?” Skylark asked. “I don’t know maybe Twilight will know. They Flew back into Ponyville and went straight to twilight’s house. They entered and handed her the pendant. “Hang on a second! I’ve seen this before!” She exclaimed. “This is one of two pendants owned by Princess Celestia and Princess Luna!” She said. “What!?” Rainbow Dash and Skylark exclaimed in unison! “This Pendant Symbolizes the power and authority that Princess Celestia and Princess Luna have!” “There are only two! One is owned by Princess Celestia and the other by Princess Luna.” She said “and you say that you saw another mysterious Pegasus drop it?” She Asked. “Yes!” Both Rainbow Dash and Skylark said. At that Moment Spike rushed in with a letter from the Princess. It Read: Dear Twilight Sparkle I have grave news. The palace was raided by a mysterious band of pegasi. One of my most prized possessions was stolen. A solid gold pendant symbolizing my power was stolen from the royal treasury. It is yet to be retrieved. I would appreciate any help. From: Princess Celestia. Part two: Kidnapped “Oh my gosh!” Twilight exclaimed! “So that pegasus you crashed into was actually a member of that horde of Pirate Pegasi!” “Most Likely…” Skylark said. “I’m going to send a message Princess Celestia right now telling her we have it.” “Spike, take a note!” Spike readied his quill and paper. Dear Princess Celestia I am happy to report that earlier today two of my friends, Rainbow Dash whom you know and Skylark whom you have yet to meet Stumbled upon one of these pirates and retrieved the pendant which you value so dearly. You may come and collect it as soon as possible. Your faithful student: Twilight Sparkle “Okay Spike, send it” Spike blew a green flame, sending the letter. It wasn’t long before a reply came through. Spike let out a loud belch and the letter came through. Dear Twilight Sparkle Unfortunately I am too busy directing the repair on the castle to come and collect the pendant and I cannot send anyone either as we are all pitching in to help fix it. However that pendant plays a vital role in my leadership. If you would be so kind as to send somepony over to the castle I would greatly appreciate it. Your Loving Teacher: Princess Celestia “So one of us is going to have to go to Canterlot and return the pendant?” Rainbow Dash asked. “Yes” said Twilight. “Well why don’t we all go?” “All seven of us friends.” Skylark asked. “Good idea” Twilight said. “Let’s go and ask them.” But unfortunately it turned out to be just those three, as Rarity had a huge order of dresses to finish, Applejack had applebucking to do, Pinkie Pie had to help out at the shop and Fluttershy was tending to an injured bird. So the three of them set off in Twilight’s balloon. But halfway there they were met by a huge Blimp bearing the same symbol as the pegasus Rainbow Dash and Skylark crashed into. “Oh no! It’s the pirates!” Skylark exclaimed! “Quick turn this thing around!” Rainbow Dash yelled. But before they could the blimp sent a message out through a loudspeaker. “HAND OVER THE PENDANT! WE KNOW THAT YOU HAVE IT!” “Quick! Rainbow Dash and Skylark push the balloon in the other direction!” Twilight yelled. Skylark and Rainbow immediately began to fly up and push with all their might against the small hot air balloon. It was all in vain however because out the blimp came several pegasi going to catch them. Skylark hatched a plan and said “We are going to have to abandon the balloon if we want to get away!” “Rainbow grab Twilight and the pendant and get to safety! I’ll hold them off!” He said. “But what if you get captured?” Rainbow asked. “That is a risk I’m willing to take! We cannot let the pendant fall into the hands of the pirates!” Skylark replied. Rainbow then grabbed the pendant and Twilight and began to fly them to safety. Skylark did his best to kick and distract the pegasi away. But he was soon overcome and as a last resort he yelled out to the fleeing Rainbow “GET HELP!!” and then he was overcome and taken prisoner. Escape Rainbow Dash and Twilight arrived back safely. But Skylark wasn’t as lucky. “What do we do now?” Twilight asked. “There is no way we could go against that entire horde of pirates!” “As much as I wish you are mistaken I am afraid you are right” Said Rainbow Dash. “I think…no…I know that Skylark will be okay and I even think that he will be able to escape.” “But for the moment I think we should call our friends and a town meeting and discuss what we are going to do about these pirates if they come here to Ponyville.” Twilight said. “It just doesn’t feel right though, leaving him in the clutches of those horrible pegasi.” said Rainbow Dash. “I know I know…”said Twilight. Meanwhile on the Blimp... Skylark is being taken to the captain of the airship struggling to get free but all in vain. He then got thrown in front of the captain, he looked for an escape root but there was none. There were also many guards. The captain was large and burly. he also had an eye patch and a artificial leg he looked very grim and bitter. “So you are one of the two pegasi that completely ruined my plans are you?” The captain said rather smugly. “Who are you!? Where am I!? What do you want from me!?” Skylark asked angrily. “We are the Shadow Lurker Pirates, you are in our airship and we want that pendant that you stole from us back.” The captain said. ”Ha! That pendant belongs to the princess and you know it!” Skylark yelled. “That pendant was OURS and you WILL give it back or else.” “I don’t even have it” Skylark said “I threw it into the forest below me before you captured me!” “Well then I guess you will have to tell us where it is.” The captain said. “Take him into interrogation. Skylark was firmly grabbed and dragged away into the interrogation room. There was one burly pegasus in the room with him who was about to interrogate him. He said “We can do this the easy way or the-“But he was cut off by Skylark. “I will not tell you anything you piece of pirate scum!” This was met with a very hard blow across the face by the pegasus. Skylark feeling a bit dazed now was trying to plan an escape. The pegasus said “Well I can see you’ve made your choice.” He went to a box and opened it. Inside were many sharp knives and scalpels. The pegasus grabbed a dagger and walked towards where skylark sat. “It is now or never.” Skylark thought. As the pegasus was about to thrust the dagger into his wing he swung his legs in the air and gave the pegasus a hard blow to the stomach. The pegasus reeled back and let out a cry of pain. Skylark managed to get up. His hooves were bound to the chair but not his legs. Before the pegasus could recover and counter attack he swung around and the chair he was bound to crashed with incredible force into the pegasus. The pegasus dropped to the floor unconscious, Skylark grabbed the dagger and cut the ropes binding him. He needed to do this next part as stealthily as possible. He had no idea where an exit was or where the guards were. He listened for any guards outside the door but he heard none. He opened it slowly and quietly. He found himself in a narrow passage. He needed to find an exit. He headed slowly down the passage and heard footsteps. It was a Pirate. He readied himself to take the pirate down. As soon as the pirate turned the corner Skylark brought his front hooves down hard on the pirate then he made sure he was out. He took the guards uniform and put it on. "This will come in handy he thought." he carried on moving through the passages. The disguise was working well. He overlooked a very vital fact however he forgot to hide the body of the pegasus whom he obtained the uniform from. He needed to get out before he was discovered. he moved through some more then he heard shouts! They had discovered the body! The base was ion full alert now. He heard from a loudspeaker "Alert! Alert prisoner has escaped and is disguised as a pirate!" "All personell to Identify themselves! Failure to comply will result in immediate arrest!" Now he'd done it. He came across a pirate who immediately asked for ID. He acted to search for it and at the last moment gave the pirate a backhoof and followed through with a square on punch. He remembered to hide the pirate this time. he searched frantically for an exit. He spotted an exit but the room the exit was in was full of pirates. It was a control room. He heard a noise down the passage. It was a patrol, he thought for a moment, he probably was going to be discovered anyway. So he decided to take the pirates in the control room by surprise by rushing in and heading straight for the exit. But as soon as he entered the room he was spotted. The Guards yelled out “THE PRISONER!!!” All the guards rushed at him. He rushed for the exit only to discover that it was locked! "Well Well Well. What do we have here..." it was the captain. "Trying to get out I see." "You won't stop us from stopping you!" Skylark Yelled. "That is where you are mistaken." The captain said. "We will stop you and you friends." "Guards kill him he has caused enough trouble."The guards threw their spears at him. He dodged and had an idea. He grabbed the dagger from the interrogation room and used it to cut the support ropes of a large overhanging screen. It came crashing to the ground, blocking the way for the guards to get to him because of exposed live wires. "What?" The captain said. "GET HIM YOU FOOLS!" The pirates were forced to shut the power off to get to him, and they did. Now that the power was off Skylark could engage the manual override for the door. The guards could also however get to him now. He grabbed the lever and pulled with all his might. The door opened and he didn’t even think he just jumped straight out of the blimp and into the open air! "NOOO" He must not ESCAPE!" The captain yelled angrily. Part Three: The final Battle Skylark tried to pick up as much speed as he could. He dived right down into the woods before spreading his wings at the last moment. Zipping in and out the trees with the pirates hot on his tail. He was an agile flyer but this proved difficult for him, he had many near hit encounters with trees but it looked like he was getting away from his pursuers. He was getting close to the edge of the woods. He took one quick glance to see how far away the other pegasus pirates were. Unfortunately it was this moment that he hit a tree. His wing hit it hard and with a cry of pain he fell to the forest floor. He lay there…will the pirates find him? And if they do what will they do to him? He looked at his wing…it was bad. Several feathers were missing and he had a large cut going down it. It hurt a lot. There was no way he was going to fly now. His only option was to run as fast as he could back into Ponyville. It wasn’t far but far enough for the pirates to capture him if they were still pursuing him. He checked himself for any other injuries. A few cuts and scratches but all in all nothing major. He began his run home. Meanwhile in Ponyville the town had just finished the discussion of if the pirates were to attack. The town folk locked their doors and kept something to defend themselves nearby. The 6 friends had also contacted Princess Celestia whom was finished with repairs and was on her way with several royal guards and…the elements of harmony! All doctors were alert and ready to assist if anypony got hurt. Now it was a simple matter of waiting. The 6 Friends were in Twilight’s home waiting for Princess Celestia’s arrival. “I’m tired of waiting!” said Rainbow Dash. “We don’t know when these dirty pirates are going to come and we don’t know if Skylark is alright!” “We are all worried Rainbow” Applejack said. “I so want to show these dumb pirates that you don’t mess with Ponyville and get away with it!”Rainbow replied. “Ah wouldn’t mind that mah self!” Applejack said. “But we need to be patient.” Suddenly there was a knock at the door. “I’ll get it.” Twilight said “It is probably Princess Celestia.” She opened the door…”Gasp! Skylark you are all right!” Twilight exclaimed. “What? He is here, he is okay, and he escaped?” The friends inside said when hearing the news. He came inside and was met with many hugs and sighs of relief. “Yes I am alright! And I am glad to be home!” He said. “Oh no!” Fluttershy said being the caring one. “Look at you!” “You are covered in cuts and have a huge bruise on your face!” She said with much concern. “Come on I am taking you to a doctor!” She said. “Wow how did you get that bruise? And all those cuts and that bruise?” Pinkie Pie said in a hyperactive manner. “Don’t bother him he is in pain!” Rainbow Dash said. “So how did you get out? Did they torture you? Did you talk?” A rather hypocritical Rainbow asked. “I’ll tell you later but right now I need to get these injuries treated.” Skylark said. At the doctor Skylark explained that the pirates will be attacking the town very soon and was relieved to hear that everypony had prepared for this. The doctor said that the cut on his wing will heal but he won’t be able to fly for a while. She bandaged it up and sent him on his way. He answered all his friends questions when they got back. At that moment Celestia arrived with her many Guards and the elements of harmony. It was likely that the pirates would attack at night. The 6 stayed in Twilight’s house in case they needed to get the elements of harmony and fight off the pirates. Skylark and Celestia stayed as well. It was late and everypony was tired. They all slept. But inevitably the pirates made their arrival in the middle of the night. The whole town was alerted by Celestia’s Guards and the 7 friends got ready to meet them. The huge blimp loomed overhead and used the loudspeaker to demand the pendant yet again, and after an obvious denial showed no hesitation in releasing the entire horde of pirates. They came down full force. Twilight used her magic to ward off the assailants, Rainbow dash used her speed and agility to take out the pirates while they were still in the sky and Applejack used her applebucking hind legs to knock out any pirate foolish enough to come near her. All of Celestia’s guards fought bravely warding off a large amount of pirates. Rarity and Fluttershy helped gather injured guards with the Doctors and treated them. Poor Skylark was forced to stay and watch. He so wanted to get back at the pirates for what they did and were doing. Early into the battle Twilight called all her friends to harness the elements and use them to completely banish every last pirate. But it required intense concentration and no interference. And the pirates made this very hard. Skylark had had enough! Ignoring the objections of the doctors he rushed out into the battle to take care of the pirates pestering the 6 others. They were about to give up when he came and started warding them off with hard kicks. “What the heck are you doing!?” The 6 asked “I’m keeping them off! Now hurry up and use the Elements!” He yelled in between kicks. The six quickly gathered up and began to use the elements much easier now because there were no pirates. They were almost finished deploying the elements power when Skylark was taken down by a pirate. If that pirate struck any of those 6 Mares the chain would be broken! And they would have to start again. The pirate rushed at the six and readied himself for a kick when Skylark as a last resort jumped and tackled the oncoming pirate. The two of them flew down the road and crashed into a building, both out cold. But this this move helped the elements to completely deploy and the 6 friends sent out the magic. Banishing the pirates and sending them and the blimp away in a bright flash of light. When the dust cleared the town was in a state. Injured Guards and an unconscious Skylark were taken to the doctors to get treated. It was morning by now and the townsfolk came out of hiding to help clean up the mess. The next day Princess Celestia had a ceremony held in honor of all the brave ponies who helped fight off the pirates. And as always another stained glass window was erected with the main 6 banishing their foes. Only this time it wasn’t just the main 6. This time many guards were included in the scene and a light brown pegasus executing an epic tackle was also included… (I wonder who that could be?) The End
Actually yes. This is a story I thought up way before I discovered this site and when I found out you could upload fan fics I decided to put it on. It turned out very well and I'm happy with it
