She simply gave up trying to spare him, so she went up to 75% and fired a bolt of lightning so powerful it reduced Crimson to cinders. "C...Crimson?" gasped Circuit Breaker, a friend of Crimson's and a rather scrawny Canterlot High student with glasses, grey skin, chestnut hair, and brown eyes. "What did you do, Rainbow?!" "Simple, Circuit," she replied, "I evaporated him electrically. "I... I'm sorry for running," he said, desperately, "please, let me join you!" "Sorry, Circuit, but you are useless to me," she replied as she vaporized him as well.
Some time after Crimson and Circuit's death, the world didn't stand a chance against Rainbow's growing empire. She took the world hostage as the United States was the first place of her growing domain, then North America....then Europe...then the world soon fell entirely. The world never really stood a chance at all against the new demoness of the world. Just before Crimson died however, he transported apart of his own soul to escape his body and to drift about. With Crimson's physically destroyed, his spirit soon found it's way to Sunset Shimmer, his girlfriend who fled when Rainbow became the Nightmare she was now. Sunset went into hiding, completely vanishing from Rainbow's newly found empire. Very soon, Sunset merely vanished without a trace. Alone and tired from running. Until Crimson's spirit found Sunset and entered her womb while she slept one night. Sunset realized what had happened when she woke up, and did whatever she could to look after her newly found child. A child that her deceased father said she would be, his successor and potentially the strongest mage in the universe. About 9 and a half months later, Sunset gave birth to Ruby Starlight. The daughter of Crimson Lionheart and Sunset Shimmer.
Rainbow Dash had chosen Canterlot as her capital, and her personal army, the Hand of the Rainbow, was sent out to round up any and all magic-capable children they found for extermination. She and her lieutenants and her armies prospered, while virtually everyone else was well below the poverty line. Technology outside Canterlot had regressed to the Middle Ages, and fear kept the inhabitants in line. OBEDIENCE IS FREEDOM LOYALTY IS INDEPENDENCE TYRANNY IS JUSTICE Those were the Three Truths that Rainbow Dash had instituted from her throne, which doubled as the principal's chair in Canterlot High.
Many years later... Sunset and the newborn Ruby went from place to place, never truly having a home. As Ruby grew up, Sunset did whatever she could to teach absolutely everything she could about magic to her. Ruby was born with an almost unnatural mixture of Equestrian and Human magic, giving her a ridiculous amount of potential. Ruby was a kind girl, merely wanting to enjoy her life to the fullest. Despite the dystopia of a world that she was raised in, Sunset, now in her mid 30's, was immensely proud of her daughter. During one night, on her 16th birthday, something impossible happened. Something that shouldn't have happened but happened anyway. The soul and essence of a man walked into the room, although it seemed to have not aged since the day he died. He denied the will of death, yet was able to interact with the living, although not physically. This state was temporary, as the spirit was stuck in an intermediate state between life and afterlife. Sadly, after a certain amount of time, they would then have to move on to the afterlife. Sunset smiled as she looked at Ruby, tears of happiness in her eyes. "Ruby....meet your father."
Rainbow Dash, who was also in her mid-30s, was steadily getting stonger to prepare to meet Crimson's prophecy head-on. She too, was raising a child. The girl was conceived under a ritual in which Circuit's spirit, whom Rainbow regretted killing, was transported to the womb to create a child. The daughter's name was Diode Storm, and she was raised to be a magical powerhouse. By the time she was 16, Diode could crush an F-14 Tomcat into a baseball-sized cube with her thoughts alone.
"D-Dad?" Ruby said in disbelief, shocked at what she was seeing. The ghost of her father looked only a few years older then she was, but the young girl had been told about him her entire life. She...couldn't believe it to be true however. "Hello...Ruby" Crimson told her sadly, but had a smile on his face that looked to be immensely proud of her. "I'm so proud of the young woman that you've become today...so very proud. I've been watching you grow up from the afterlife, and let's just say that you bring tears in my eyes.....except....I wish I around to help build your childhood." Ruby began to have tears in her eyes, while Sunset was already crying. "H-how long do you have left?" Crimson's expression changed to a sad one, looking down at the ground. "I have two years left...two years until I must pass on. But...I've become the one thing that Rainbow is terrified about, I've become vastly more powerful then she will ever be. And you will be as well, Ruby....your the chosen one." Ruby looked sad, but tried to keep a smile up infront of her dead father. Sunset pulled her daughter close to her, close enough for her to listen to her heartbeat. Crimson held his hand out to her, despite the fact that Ruby or Sunset couldn't grab it. "I hope your ready, daughter..." Crimson told her confidently. "Because your real training begins now!"
Rainbow Dash loved her job. The benefits of being Goddess-Empress of the world were innumerable. However, Crimson's words haunted her from time to time, but she tried to push them out of her mind.
2 years later... Ruby was now 18, and had gained a ludicrous amount of power and experience since her father came to her side. She was more then ready to head to Canterlot, all the while Sunset was planning a revolution amongst the poor civilians of Rainbow's empire. Crimson was at Ruby's side, although his time in the material world was just about up. He was just about out of time, but he wanted to see Rainbow's face of absolute terror when his own daughter killed her. His spirit was slowly beginning to fade as the two of them flew to Canterlot, Ruby knowing the inevitable end of her fathers fate. Soon enough, once they were in Canterlot, Rainbow would have felt an immediately powerful power of Ruby. But once Ruby was inside of the city, Crimson vanished...
"Mother," said Diode Storm from within the school, "I sense a great magical power approaching from the west." "What?!" Rainbow Dash was furious. She feared this day would come, but she was in denial. "Find out what it is." "Yes, mother," Diode said, bowing as she left to meet her adversary.
Ruby flew across the ruins of Canterlot, before landing in the ruins of a large football stadium after feeling a serious power nearby. It wasn't completely overwhelming like the otherone, which could only be the Nightmare that killed her father and declared herself a god. This was something different entirely. Ruby didn't feel her fathers presence anymore, so she was left completely alone in the middle of the football field. Ruby kept her reflexes sharp, as she felt Diode arrive nearby. If she was to save humanity, she had to make it past the girl before her however.
Ruby just smirked at the response as the wind suddenly picked up around the stadium, and the long derelict stadium chairs began to come off the hinges and slowly levitate into the air. She looked at Diode and she began to power up slowly. "....Watch me"
Ruby sidestepped to the side and aimed a powerful firebolt directly at the exposed chest of Diode. The same spell that her father created that combined the raw electrical power of lightning and combining it with the destructive power of the inferno. It wasn't powerful enough to kill someone as powerful as Diode, but it was easily enough to hurt her.
Diode reeled as she stood up from the attack. "How... how did you..." ---- In Equestria, Twilight Sparkle was preparing to re-enter the portal, only to find a gaping hole in reality in its place. She trotted through.
"You don't get it, don't you. I'm my fathers DAUGHTER!!!" Ruby screamed as she powered up immensely, the sheer force of her power creating a powerful shockwave that actually sent anything remotely nearby her flying. Before Diode could even react, she vanished in the blink of an eye and delivered a mighty punch that sent her enemy flying across the football field.
Diode was knocked back by an intense force, sending her careening across the stadium. ----- "Rainbow?" Twilight asked scaredly, "What happened here?" Rainbow Dash sighed and said, "You should never have come back..." "This is your doing, isn't it?" Twilight replied, "Rainbow... this isn't how things are meant to be..." "Twilight... I..." But she was right. There was no denying that now. Rainbow Dash had absorbed the orb in desparation to save their world's Twilight, but she became the very thing she was trying to stop. She initiated a time reversal spell. "I'm sorry..." was her last words as Queen. ----- It was after the Friendship Games. Crystal Prep had won. Twilight Sparkle was about to open a magical canister.
"NOOOOO!" Crimson cried out loudly, running as fast as he could and tried to push Twilight out of the way. He almost tackled Twilight to the ground, but the orb was knocked into the air to the shock of everyone watching. The orb sailed to the ground and landed directly on Crimson's chest, specifically where his heart was as the orb suddenly absorbed. Crimson's eyes turned to one of horror, just as the magic began to take hold of him..... "R-run....." Crimson said, tears running down his eyes as his body lost control and slowly began to float into the air, as he was swallowed in a ball of majestic light.
Twilight did as he said and began to hightail it outta there. "I have a bad feeling about this," Circuit said.
The light almost smashed like glass to reveal Crimson, but everything changed about him. A horn grew from his forehead, and black wings grew out of her back. Aqua colored flames surrounded her eyes, as if they were glasses. Crimson's clothes became black armor, which exposed his chest, arms, legs. His retina changed color to a bright red, as lightning crackled around him. "I....can feel it.....limitless powerful and potential...." The now dark colored Crimson said aloud. "Its....beautiful" Crimson then aimed his hand directly at Canterlot High, and shot a beam of magical energy that blew up the entire building. He chuckled to himself as he looked at the terrified students around him. "Now...kneel."
