"You mean, The Twilight Sparkle?" Ruby asked the woman. "I thought that her existence was nothing more then a myth, just some old story. You fought against her?"
"Ruby Starlight..." said the older woman, eyes widening slightly, "Now that's a name I've not heard in a long time..."
"I guess I've been here since I was born, I was just a local trader" Ruby said as she went with the woman. "I've never left this place"
"Well, you were born here," said the older woman, "I should know, I'm the one who gave birth to you." "Oh, I never told you my name, did I?" she added. "My name is Sunset Shimmer."
Ruby just stopped dead in her tracks, feeling like she had just been hit by a truck as this sudden truth hit her. She looked in complete disbelief as her jaw dropped, not sure to if this woman was telling the truth of not. Yet...she knew that deep down, she was right. And when she began to see the resemblance in Sunset's eyes, that's when it began to strike her. "M-mother?" Ruby said shocked, just at a complete loss for words. Unsure if she could stop the few tears in her eyes starting to form. "Mommy?"
"Your father and I were being hunted by the New Order," said Sunset, "so we fled to a remote island in the Pacific. That's where a Resistance movement is being held. I'll take you there, if you want. Especially because there's probably nothing left back home..."
"And Father is still alive?" Ruby said in shock almost, before nodding in approval and looking back at the burning town behind them. "Alright, I'm game. I guess I don't really have a choice since the people I used to live with back there are being mowed down by the New Order"
