Rarity did not like that choice of words. "Pinkie Pie, what the hell is wrong with you?" she demanded, "You can't just ask someone if they'd kill someone else!" "Sorry," replied Pinkie, blushing sheepishly.
"Well....it could be a valid question. I mean, l-" Applejack began until Crimson suddenly spoke again. Except this time, he said something that the others didn't know about yet. "I took down the Pink Cloud gang" Crimson said truthfully. And just like that, everyone's jaws merely dropped
"WHAT?!" shouted Pinkie Pie in terror. "THAT WAS YOU?!" "Ah knew he was lyin' about bein' fine," muttered Applejack under her breath.
"Because I saved someone's life" Crimson told the others calmly. "She'd been ambushed....no...she told me that she was thrown outside by one of the gang members for the others to abuse, and I was walking past at just the right time. She goes to Canterlot High, but she's a grade younger then us" "But you could have gotten hurt! Or worse, you could have been killed! I....you..." Pinkie started to hyperventilate in fear. "I think he's alright, dear." Rarity placed a hand on Pinkie's shoulder before looking at Crimson. "Although you really shouldn't have lied to us about this." Crimson sighed. "Good grief...."
"I didn't want to scare you guys..." said Crim guiltily. "AND YOU THOUGHT WE WOULDN'T FIND OUT?!" shouted Rainbow Dash, "THIS ISN'T THE KIND OF THING YOU TELL LITTLE WHITE LIES ABOUT, CRIM!! THIS IS SERIOUS *squee!* WE'RE DEALING WITH HERE!!"
"Look!" Crimson said in annoyance. "I made a mistake of lying to you guys. I'm sorry! This was the best thing I could have done to protect all of us at the time!" "ARE YOU SURE CRIM?" Rainbow continued to shout. "THINGS HAPPENED TO BE FINE AND DANDY UNTIL YOU ARRIVED IN CANTERLOT. THIS IS ALL YOUR FAULT!!!" "I said...I made a mistake" Crimson grumbled now in annoyance, the tension being so sharp now that things could be cut with a knife. Rainbow was getting aggressive and hotheaded. But now, so was Crimson defensively. Now, Fluttershy was starting to freak-out. She hasn't seen Rainbow this angry in a long time, but she'd never seen Crimson in a bad mood either. As the girls could do nothing but watch this chaos unfold, Pinkie Pie was feeling the worst of it, starting to scoot back from the two of them. "WE HAPPENED TO BE LIVING NORMAL LIVES UNTIL KANGAROO JACK HERE DECIDED TO SAVE SOMEONE." Rainbow screamed at him now. "INSTEAD OF SAVING A LIFE, HE'S PUTTING EVERYONE IN DANGER. WELL LISTEN UP CRIMSON! THIS IS AMERICA, NOT SOME RUNDOWN GHETTO. IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT HERE, GO BACK TO YOUR OWN DAMN COU-" "I MADE A MISTAKE!!!" Crimson screamed at the top of his lungs, so terrifyingly loud that even Rainbow jumped backwards. Fluttershy burst into tears, quickly feeling unsafe in the room right now. Pinkie Pie looked in total horror at what was going on, seeing her partner in such an upset state. Crimson stood up while the others sat on the ground, looking at them almost in a distraught emotion of disbelief and anger before turning around and walked away from them without a word. Soon, he was out the door before he got into his car and drove off.
Rainbow Dash blinked, terrified from both what she had said, and what Crimson had responded with. Circuit sighed before saying, "Rainbow Dash, I'm not saying he should have lied to us, not by a longshot. But the way you responded was just uncalled for." "...w... what the... I didn't mean..." was all she could muster as Rarity and Applejack attempted to comfort Fluttershy. Circuit merely got up and also approached the door. "...Where are you going?" asked Rainbow Dash nervously. Circuit simply responded, "I need to have a chat with Crimson." He walked out the door, muttering, "Merry Christmas, indeed," sarcastically under his breath.
Spoiler: Music for scene Circuit drove off to find the whereabouts of his friend. The first obvious place would have been his house, but as he made his way across the streets, he pulled up to not find his car anywhere in sight. The only thing that happened to be there was another lime green hatchback, but not the car he happened to be looking for. Nonetheless, he knocked on the door as snow began to fall. The lady at the door opened, a woman who looked like to have been in her early 30's. She wasn't tall, but she was absolutely gorgeous when it came to beauty. "Well hello there" The woman said in a strong Australian accent. "How can I help you? "Um...hello there" Circuit said. "Do you happen to know where Crimson is? Is he home?" "Ah, you're one of Crim's mates." Winter said before scratching her head. "Well, he hasn't been home in a while. Can't help you there bud....did something happen?" "....You could say that" Circuit responded with.
"Ah..." said Winter sadly, "Well, good luck, mate. Hope you find him." Circuit thanked her and got back in his car. ---- Crimson sat on a bench in the park near Sugarcube Corner Bakery and Restaurant, staring at the ground, an expression of exasperation on his face. "You know, the girls had a point," said a voice to his right. Crim turned to face the source of the voice, seeing none other than Circuit sitting next to him. "Leave me alone," replied Crim in irritation. "Dude, I understand you were saving someone's life and didn't want us to worry, but sometimes you can't hide these things," Circuit continued, "We're your friends. We'll understa-" "I said, piss off." Crim's tone suggested that he didn't want to talk, but Circuit knew he had to get this out of his system. "Friends don't let friends be angry, Crim," he sighed. "If you were my bloody friend, you'd have gotten in that car and left me in peace," replied Crim, his voice becoming more angry. Circuit, however, was undeterred. "You could've just told us, and none of this would've-" "I DON'T CARE," shouted Crimson angrily, getting awkward stares from the other people in the park, "I MADE A MISTAKE, AND YOU GUYS WOULDN'T BLOODY SHUT UP ABOUT IT!!! I MEAN, FOR GOD'S SAKE, CIRCUIT, DID YOU HEAR WHAT DASH SAI--" "I KNOW WHAT SHE SAID, CRIMSON!!" Even Crim was scared by how loud Circuit was. "I KNOW WHAT SHE SAID, BUT SHE DIDN'T REALLY MEAN TO CALL YOU NAMES OR ANYTHING! IT WAS ALL THE HEAT OF THE MOMENT AND STUFF!!" Crim backed away slowly. "Hey, listen, mate, I--" "NO, YOU LISTEN! WE WERE ONLY MAD BECAUSE WE'RE CONCERNED ABOUT YOU!! IF YOU HAD TOLD US UP FRONT, WE WOULDN'T BE HAVING THIS PROBLEM, BUT YOU DID, AND HERE WE ARE!!" There was a long, awkward silence, only broken by Crim sighing sadly. For a moment, Circuit thought he was getting ready to yell some more, but instead, sobbing could be heard from Crim. Circuit walked up to Crim slowly. "Listen, Crim... I'm sure it was very difficult having to fight off a bunch of punks like that, but you gotta understand, this isn't something you can just hide. Sooner or later, someone's gonna find out, and then what?" "I don't even want to know how Pinkie must be feeling right now..." Crimson grumbled, looking his best friend in the eyes. "It's Christmas Day for God's sake... and I ruined it for everyone..." "Look, I'm sorry for how we acted, okay?"
Crimson merely shook his head, frustrated with how everything was happening. Snow was falling onto the concrete path below, while painting the pristine green grass into a magnificent shade of white. He had been crying, and by the looks of things, had been like this for quite some time before Circuit arrived. "I've been getting messages from the girls saying that Pinkie ran upstairs to her bedroom and she hasn't been out since. She's supposedly extremely distraught about what's just been happening. Not to mention Fluttershy is in shock..." Circuit added. Crimson remained silent. "Look, you did what you had to do. I respect that and I see where you are coming from, hence why you didn't say a word. You wanted to protect us." Circuit added before sighing. "But sooner or later, someone is going to notice...and because you didn't tell us, you'd be doing more harm then good. See what I mean?" Crimson sighed. "Yeah...I know where you're coming from"
"Well, let's go back to Pinkie's, huh?" said Circuit, "Rarity hasn't opened her gifts yet, and Mama Pie's gonna whip up some Christmas dinner later."
"Yeah...I guess so" Crimson nodded before out of nowhere, he suddenly pulled him into a tight hug. "Thanks man...." Crimson smiled, still teary eyed.
The two of them soon made their way back to Pinkie's House, although they both left with their own cars. Crimson still felt incredibly guilty of what had happened earlier, expecting the others to snap at him the moment he walked through the door. He braced him self in advance. Soon, his car and Circuit's were parked on the drive-way. Circuit was the first one to walk in, but Crimson took a moment or two to regain his composure before he stepped foot inside...
The first thing Crim was greeted with upon opening the door was Rainbow Dash running up to hug him, sobbing quietly. "I'm so sorry," she said, "I never should have called you 'Kangaroo Jack,' or yelled at you like that... especially the 'Kangaroo Jack' part, that was a horrible thing to say." Crim chuckled. "No worries, mate," he replied. "CRIMMY?! IS THAT YOU?!" shouted Pinkie from upstairs.
Crimson giggled as she seen an excited Pinkie Pie quickly run down the stairs. "Yep! It's me! Your friendly neighborhood sp-" Before he could even finish, Pinkie latched onto him tightly and planted a tight passionate kiss on his lips, completely taking him by surprise and leaving him breathless. By the time that Pinkie let go of him, she wrapped her arms around her and Rainbow. "I've been worried sick about the both of you!" Pinkie explained. "But let's move away from that. I think we are all good now.....but the real question is....who wants some food!
Circuit and Crimson raised their hands, while the other girls did so hesitantly. "What's wrong, girls?" Circuit asked. "I have to warn you guys," said Sunset, "Pinkie's mother's cooking is a little... strange."
"What do you mean? It can't be anything that ba-" Crimson never finished, as right nearby the stove, he seen Pinkie's mother take a whole bunch of gravel and dump it into a pot of burning water. "I've lost my appetite" Sunset said quietly, jabbing the boys with her elbows to catch her drift. "S-same...." Crimson said lightly, not wishing to offend Pinkie or anything. He didn't want to lose his teeth...
"How do you guys eat this stuff?" whispered Circuit in Pinkie's ear? "Very carefully," answered a monotone female voice behind him.
"GAH!!!" Circuit jumped at the voice, turning around and discovering the identity of the voice, which belonged to a grey young woman with an almost equally grayish violet hair. "Oh, hey Maud" Pinkie cheerfully said as she looked at Circuit and Crimson. "This is my sister, Maud." "Hello...." Maud said in a monotone. "Um....howdy" Crimson said back. At least Pinkie was having fun introducing her family to the boys. "Marble and Limestone are the two at the table." Pinkie said, pointing to two others who happened to be eating a bunch of rocks on the table. Proper rocks...
