Circuit and Crimson turned around to stare down Fluttershy, who was practically sweating bullets at this stage. The timid girl stumbled when she tried to speak, but before she even could, the two of them could practically read her own body language due to how nervous she was. "Oh my god...." Crim's eyes went wide as he turned around to the rest of his friends. "Y-you hid this from the two of us, didn't you?" Applejack gulped nervously. "Well sugercube....Twilight was....errr.....she didn't have control-" Circuit slammed his fist on the table, causing the girls to jump. "YOU MEAN THAT I NEARLY GOT KILLED AND ORCHID ALMOST GOT KIDNAPPED AND SOLD AS A SLAVE BECAUSE SHE DIDN'T HAVE CONTROL!?" He said, absolutely steaming. The rage on his broken face was visible, and the girls didn't know how to react. They were stunned at Circuit's reaction, not expecting this from him. Crimson shook his head. "Un-bloody-believable....." He grumbled, sighing deeply as he got up and walked off. He didn't even say goodbye to the girls, instead he turned his back on them and walked away, leaving the cafeteria.
"She... she couldn't stop herself! It wasn't really her fault!" said Fluttershy desperately. "Yeah, and I'm Batman..." said Circuit, rolling his eyes angrily. "THIS IS JUST *squee!*ING GREAT, ISN'T IT... I HAD TO GO THROUGH HELL IN THE CANTERDOME LAST WEEK. ORCHID WAS THIS CLOSE TO BEING SOLD OFF TO GOD-KNOWS-WHO, ALL BECAUSE TWILIGHT COULDN'T CONTROL HERSELF?!?" Circuit flipped the cafeteria table, not noticing the many people who had already been staring in his direction for quite some time. This prompted Rainbow Dash to get up, grab Circuit by the front of his shirt, and pin him to the wall. She was glaring at him with a restrained, yet blazing fury. Rainbow Dash was by no means a bodybuilder, but she was still incredibly intimidating when she needed to be. "Listen to me, Circuit," she said through gritted teeth, "None of us are happy about the situation either, but that doesn't give you the right to throw a tantrum. You weren't there, you don't understand what happened. I know that you were home sick for the games, but that's no excuse to be this upset, either. Now calm the hell down." She let him go, with Circuit shaking slightly in fear. Good thing I wore my brown pants, he thought.
Spoiler: Music for scene Unknown location, B.E.A.R headquaters. By the time that Sunset and Twilight came to be, they woke up in an unknown location, surrounded in a room filled with cold steel and even colder equipment around them. The last memory that the two of them would have was being thrown into the back of a very armored van with their entrance locked, before a sleeping gas seeped from a dispenser inside the locked cabin that made the two of them collapse unconscious. Now, the two didn't even realize what time or day it was. What was happening however, was that the two of them were bound by their hands and legs onto an operating table of a scientific facility, the two of them being stripped of their clothing and wearing nothing but a patient gown that would be found in a hospital. Twilight tried to move her arms and legs to no avail, turning around to look at Sunset with hurt eyes. "I'm scared Sunset...." The violet haired girl meekly said in fear. Sunset had shivers down her spine as she gulped back to look at her friend. "M-me too...."
Twilight began to cry, tears streaming down her face as she utterly broke down before Sunset. "I'm so afraid right now...." she sobbed. Only a moment later, several figures entered the room wearing special uniforms. black steel-tipped boots, black bodysuits with a belt, and black gloves. Their helmets appeared to be of a strange design as well, a matching black helmet with a large visor in the middle that hid the faces of the figures. Soon, all of them went to different parts of the room, tampering with scientific equipment.
----- Later that day, a familiar face returned to school! "Hey Ivy!" said Circuit as the Quebecois young woman walked by. "Bonjour, Circuit," she replied with a smile. "Oh how I've missed you all!" "We missed you too," said Crimson. Ivy looked around. "Speaking of missing, where's Sunset? I've been looking for her..." Circuit turned pale. "Long story."
It wasn't easy, but the explanation to Ivy was much more difficult then it should have been. The Quebecois felt very unwell with the news, almost sick to her stomach, as the group of friends tried to explain how the government arrived. "Mon Dieu!" Ivy exclaimed. "We must help the two of them! They're in great danger!" Circuit shook his head. "We don't know if we can this time....I'm afraid we don't have a single lead." Rainbow proudly smiled. "Don't worry everyone! I'm sure we can do it!"
----- Spoiler: Music for scene (recommended) "I've been looking up B.E.A.R. online, and I've found nothing," explained Circuit as he browsed the web on his laptop at Sugarcube Corner. "No Wikipedia article, no government website, nothing." "Maybe it's one of those websites that you can't get to with a search engine," suggested Crimson. "Good thinking." Circuit typed a URL into the address bar, which led him directly to B.E.A.R.'s homepage. "Can you get in?" asked Rainbow Dash. "Probably, given enough time," Circuit replied. "But it's going to be very difficult to crack. After all, this is a secret government website." "Um, I don't think we have much time," said Fluttershy worriedly, "What if they... y'know, activate Twilight's... y'know..." Ivy stared at Fluttershy, confused. Orchid, on the other hand, knew exactly what Fluttershy meant. She had seen the video footage of the destruction of the school, after all. "Then let's just hope we can get in and find out where their headquarters is before anything bad happens," replied Circuit.
Circuit took a deep breath and prepared to hack into the mainframe for any possible way to get into the website. B.E.A.R's defenses seemed to be very very impressive, to the point where the boy was entering the most powerful of firewalls and defenses. He grumbled as the others held their breath, watching eagerly. Orchid especially seemed interested, and actually very very impressed with Circuit's ability to break in. All of a sudden, Circuit's laptop screen went completely black before a row of green words appeared. 'BUREAU OF EXTRA DIMENSIONAL ACTIVITY RESEARCH. FOR AUTHORIZED PERSONNEL ONLY. Circuit had the biggest grin on his face, smiling triumphantly. "I'm now in....now let's see if I can get an IP address." The girls cheered for Circuit's hard work, before pressing a lonesome folder on the right hand corner of the screen. Soon, images began to pop up onto the screen in shock, along with old news reports. There was the picture of the statue at the front of Canterlot High, but some other strange looking stones have appeared as well. "Wait a minute.....is that the por-" Pinkie tried to exclaim before having her mouth shut by Rarity, causing Ivy and Orchid to look confused. A few minutes more of searching began to show some things the government wasn't just trying to hide, but ensure that nobody would ever know about. "Creatures from mythology keep appearing. Greco-Roman mythological creatures such as the Centaur, Chimera, Cerberus.....and the Loch-Ness monster are now real.....but....wait...." Circuit paused before something confronting appeared. A long, very detailed article about the Salem Witch Trials. "The 'Salem Witches' weren't just real witches but.....Eques-" Circuit gulped before turning to the others. "Guys.....what if the government doesn't only know about Equestria....but has always known?"
"I beg your pardon, but... what's an "Equestria?"" Ivy asked, trying to comprehend what she just heard. "And what's this about witches and Loch Ness?" added Orchid, equally as confused. Circuit sighed. "Pinkie... tell 'em."
Pinkie turned herself around and cleared her throat. "Equestia, although this may sound silly, is a parallel universe from us filled to the brim with magic. It's like the most wonderful fantasy book come true and....the inhabitants are the same as us. Literally! They're talking ponies!" Ivy looked in utter confusion at Pinkie. "Seriously, that's it? Are you sure this isn't some made up fa- "Oh trust me Ivy, I had the same reaction" Crim told Ivy with a rather serious tone in his voice. "But trust me, it's real..." While Ivy had difficulty trying to comprehend this information, Orchid had a very different reaction. As if her novels had just came to life, and that all the characters and worlds she'd ever made had just come to life. And she had the most awkward grin on her face....
"We can discuss multiverse theory later," said Circuit, "Right now, we need to focus on finding our friends." "Right..." said Orchid, unable to hide her fangirlish enthusiasm. "Anyway... looks like B.E.A.R. isn't part of the U.S. government. They're actually a branch of the U.N.," Circuit explained. "Think the SCP Foundation, except real." "Where've they set up shop?" asked Rainbow Dash. Circuit sighed. "...Area 51... of course it'd be Area 51..." he said snidely.
Crim raised a curious question with his friends. "Guys....how the hell are we gonna break into Area 51?"
"Ah think we're gonna need the help of an old friend..." said Applejack. Rarity gasped. "Surely you don't mean...?" "Yep..."
Applejack quickly took out a pen and began to write a formal letter, all while hiding the secrecy of it's contents from Ivy and Orchid. The last thing that the group of friends wanted right now was for the two of them to discover an alternate Twilight Sparkle. At least, not yet anyway.... Crimson sighed deeply as he cracked open a soda can, giving it to Circuit. "Consider this your reward, mate. Not everyday someone hacks into government files" he chuckled.
Meanwhile.... Across from a mirror stood a familiar purple Alicorn, gazing at her own reflection as she held her breath. She didn't know how or why, but she had a terrible feeling when she woke up this morning that something was wrong. Something clearly troubled her, and it looked like it wasn't going to go away. Twilight Sparkle, Princess of Friendship, looked towards her faithful assistant Spike, who was practically a mother to him. She had a brave smile on her face, a reassuring one. Are you sure about this Twilight?" Spike asked, looking into her eyes. The Alicorn nodded. "I have a terrible feeling that both of our worlds are in danger." She told him. "I can feel the dark magic emanating through the mirror from here.....let's hope we aren't too late." Twilight walked through the portal, leaving the young dragon looking back at Equestria one more time. "Yeah...I hope so...." Spike worryingly told himself before following Twilight through.
---- Twilight joined the group at Crim's house later that day. "So, ya got mah letter, right, Twi?" asked Applejack. "Well... yes and no," Twilight replied as she reached down to pet her dog, Spike. "You see... the portal not only transfigures anypony who goes through it into a human, but the resulting transformation also acts as a translator. I can't actually speak to you in your language; rather, I'm merely speaking in Equestrian, and you simply perceive me speaking in a language you can understand. This also works vice versa, as well as with text. However, the translation ability goes away as soon as I go back to Equestria, meaning that I won't be able to read, speak, or understand human languages when I return home." "So... you got mah letter, but it was complete gibberish to ya... because ya don't really understand English?" "Exactly. Hence why Sunset has been able to write to me, and yet you can't."
"So let me get this straight, Twi" Crimson cleared his throat. "The Girls were lucky enough to give me the run down of what happened. This 'Midnight' is supposedly invulnerable to practically anything except Equestrian Magic?" Twilight nodded, looking at photos from what had happened following the chaotic end of the Friendships Games that had been taken from terrified students and bystanders. "I'm afraid so....and if this.....'B.E.A.R' took Sunset and this universe's copy of me, then..... Applejack gulped. "Oh no...." was all she needed to say, thinking what everyone else was...
"See?! I told you!" said Pinkie Pie, who evidently wasn't happy about being right about government experimentation.
