The group heard Rarity screaming at that moment. "I'M INSIDE A ROCK!!!" she yelled. Applejack ran over to the source of the screams and found a massive boulder. "Now don't you worry, Rarity... ah'm comin'," she assured her friend. However, as she collided with the massive stone, it shattered, freeing Rarity, much to Applejack's astonishment. "I don't know how this could have happened," said Rarity in confusion, as Applejack helped her up, "It's as if I just passed through the rock like a light fog..."
Sunset walked backwards in astonishment of what was happening. This impact must have done something to them. Instead of giving them the sweet embrace of death, they all seemed to have been given something. "Sunset! Your arm is on fire!" Fluttershy cried out. Sunset suddenly looked to her arms and found that her right arm was on fire, totally ablaze. She screamed before realising something....the flames didn't hurt at all. "Wha!?" She looked confused. "Why am I not in pain?
Rainbow Dash, meanwhile, noticed something. "GUYS! THE TELESCOPE!!!" she said. Indeed, it seemed to have been destroyed by the meteorite, which Rainbow Dash reached out to touch... only for bolts of electricity to shoot out of her hand and arc off the remnants of the telescope. She ran back to the others, only to find that she was already in front of them. "How did you run back so fast?" asked Circuit. "I... I don't know..."
Twilight looked around at everyone. Everyone seemed to have been displaying weird signs of their own abilities, almost as if they gained.... ".....Superpowers" She quietly spoken before looking at Crimson and Fluttershy, who haven't shown and sort of display yet.
Come to think of it, Circuit showed no signs of superpowers either. "What the hell is going on?" he asked.
Two days later... The group of nine tried their best to live out their daily lives without their newfound abilities getting in the way. Without learning to control them or training, having these powers are much more bothersome then expected. Sunset accidentally set her appartment on fire while she was sleeping. Although she extinguished the inferno with relative ease, it wasn't enough to save her bed. Now she slept in the bathtub. Only a day after the incident, Fluttershy's powers came into play when she tried to summon Angel to come to her, only to end up amassing half a Farm's worth of animals to her. Upon discovering she had a control for all animals, she discovered she can use their abilities as well. The internet had a field trip when they found a teenage girl with gigantic bird wings flying above the city, screaming in terror as she panicked to try and find a way down safely. Only Twilight and Circut appeared powerless. However, drawings around Crimson's bedroom of everyday objects began to look more and more precise. Soon, he was experimenting with photographs....then distorted frames from television broardcasts to see if he could reveal some intricate details. Then things got crazy. Soon, precision in paintings and drawings started to escalate to angles....
Meanwhile, half of Canterlot had lost power later that night, as what looked like a bolt of lightning arced across the sky uncontrollably at high speeds. Pinkie Pie, meanwhile, had trouble keeping things around her from exploding, while Rarity would often fall through the floors of two-story buildings or become stuck in walls for seemingly no reason. And Circuit... well, he seemed powerless, but he felt different as well. He felt... free, for lack of a better word.
The Meteor Shower that flew across the skies might have given the group of friends their newfound powers, but it also contained something incredibly sinister. Something dangerous. Something evil... ------------------------------- 74 kilometres northeast of Canterlot, USA. After being bombarded by wave after wave of falling debris from the meteor shower, one very sizeable one crashed into the middle of a desert lake near a very remote part of the state. What was weird was the falling meteor actually slowed down during its fall into the lake, only crashing into the lake and not vaporising it along with everything else in the area due to its size. Nobody thought anything of it until activity started to sturr in the area. Reports of kidnappings in the area began to become apparent, followed by the disappearance of law enforcement in the area. The Canterlot Police Department, led by Chief Winter Rush was now being tasked by the state government to investigate into the matter. Being the closest to a borderline asteroid, it was a serious issue. Little did they know what sort of cosmic evil would come and greet them.
As police surrounded the impact site, they saw a strange, stone object, resembling an egg. It cracked open, the "shell" peeling away to reveal what looked like some kind of spacecraft. Suddenly, before them appeared a red streak of light, materializing into a strange beast; it was about a foot taller than the average human, yet had a similar muscular structure, though its features were very reptilian in nature, and had feathers growing out of its arms and head. It eyed the officers with intent. "Hello Earth," it said, in a menacing, masculine growl, "We're HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOME!!!"
The officers seemed to outnumber this strange alien by around twenty to one, who without even expressing any warning signs, started to open fire onto the reptilian beast after one nervous officer let go his handgun. The bullets hit the hard skin of the creature before crumpling into the hard reptilian skin and merely falling onto the desert ground below. "Hahaha!" The humanoid alien taunted them. "Is that the best you've got!?" The Chief of the operation, one important Winter Rush held a walkie talkie in her hand as she radioed back to HQ. "This is Chief Rush to HQ. Requesting urgent backup. Send everything"
As the SWAT team was called in, more creatures swarmed out of the egg; resembling human-sized, tail-less velociraptors. They began to attack the officers en masse, with Winter lucky to escape in her squad car before she got seriously hurt...
While the SWAT teams were dealing with the creatures, news coverage began to unfold of this alien invasion showing the ship. As Winter's Squad Car drove back as fast as she could rob Canterlot, two FA-18's flew past her... Meanwhile, news of this alien threat was emerging on every single television station. This was to be mankinds first encounter with alien life, and it was unfortunately hostile...
"What the hell?! First we get superpowers, now this?!" demanded Rainbow Dash angrily, as the news went to the weather, "It's like some kind of Power Rangers rip-off!" "Easy, sugarcube," said Applejack, "We ain't got nothin' to worry about ourselves..." Pinkie Pie gasped. "THAT'S IT!! WE'RE GOING TO FIGHT THE ALIENS!!" "Come again, dear?" asked Rarity. "It's like in Spider-Man. 'With great power comes great responsibility,' right? Well, fighting off these meanie beanies is one heck of a responsibility!" "Eh, fair enough," said a very fatigued Twilight.
Just as the group of friends had finished talking, a dust covered squad car pulled up with a very frustrated looking police woman sitting in the drivers seat. The door suddenly flung open as a light lavender skinned woman opened her arm to them. "Get in!" Winter almost ordered them. "Else everyone dies
"Let me guess," said Circuit, "Those... freaks we saw on TV have been giving you and the rest of the fuzz trouble, and you think we can help?" "I don't know what happened to you nine the other day," replied Winter, "but I do know the end result seems like something out of a comic book. If anyone can help, aside from the military--" She was interrupted by the news returning from commercial break to explain that the military was having better luck, in that little luck was better than no luck. "...well, I guess you know what happens next then, right, Circuit?" "I guess we have no choice... It's not like we can just let everyone die..." he replied.
Crimson sighed as he looked at his mother. "Doubt there would be any room left in the squad car. Everyone head with me to make up room" Fluttershy shook her head as all of a sudden, she grew huge wings from her back. "I'll um....fly there....if you don't mind" Fluttershy suddenly said "Eagle Wings" before suddenly flying into the air, soon propelling the teen into flight. "Well...you heard the girl!" Winter almost ordered. "Half in my car, half in the other"
"Ah'm goin' with Fluttershy," said Applejack, "Ah got more than enough strength to carry those who won't fit in the squad car and can't get there on their own in a timely fashion." "And I'm going by myself," added Rainbow Dash, "since I can fly, too." "Fair enough," said Winter.
Crimson scratched his head sheepishly. "Well...I don't know the extent of my own powers yet, but I think I should head in the squad car. And well....I don't want any damages done on Nero." Winter raised her eyebrow. "Nero?" "Oh! That's my car, mum" Crimson said awkwardly. "I decided to name it."
---- When they arrived on the scene, the group noticed that the area was covered in the wreckage of military equipment and the corpses of many soldiers, who seemed to have gone out with a valiant, but ultimately worthless, struggle. "These dino-people trashed the military, what are the odds?" snarked Twilight. "Your statement, while sarcastic, isn't entirely inaccurate," replied a voice. A threatening, gravelly baritone voice...
All eyes turned to a figure standing on the top of a ruined tank, now a metal carcass of broken steel. The voice looked just as theatening as he sounded, looking down at the pitiful humans below him mockingly. "So this is what our home has given life to since we left all those millions of years ago." The figure said before sniffing. "Pathetic mammals..."
