"M-Me?" Crim said in surprise, completely unprepared from that question. Other then the violence, this could be the first time that he could at least settle down, which is what he moved to Canterlot for. "Well, I um....err.....are you sure?"
"Positive," she replied, "I like bad boys. Hell, I used to have a mean streak myself. Not that I like talking about it..." she added sadly.
"Oh...." Crimson didn't really know how to react, especially since gave off a "bad boy" attitude to him and the rest of the girls. He's really just a normal guy, but it seemed that Sunset had taken a fancy on him. "But...hey! I'd love to take you to formal" he cheerfully said trying to cheer her up.
May 23rd 2014. Canterlot, United States of America. Outside Sunset Shimmer's home. 5:47pm Sunset sat on the front porch of her home, dressed in a very elegant red dress that sparkled under certain light. This was the second formal for her ever since the crisis that involved the Friendship Games and the Siren attack, but at the same time, she didn't want to remember what she used to be like. In her eyes, she was the villain of it all. She was the Queen Bee of the school, and she used to hold it under her grip. Students and Teachers, even Principal Celestia herself at some point, were afraid of her old self. She sighed deeply. That old part of her life was gone, all of it. She had come out as a different person, and a better person overall. Crimson seemed to be in the same situation he was, except his situation was different from hers. Where as Sunset was the bully of the school, Crimson's life went into absolute hell. She hoped that tonight could have been something magical for him, he had already been through so much.... Even then, the first time that she met him, she didn't know what to say. She was left completely dumbfounded at his presence, almost entirely on accident. She still managed to keep her composure, but something about him stuck to her. Something about the boy in the grey hoodie on that night remained lingering in her thoughts. His story from his youth, his entire trip to America to start over as a better person.... In her eyes, maybe she....no....she couldn't. Flash was just a pawn in a grander scale of things back during her reign of terror..... So what was Crimson now? And...why couldn't she stop thinking about him? Even when she asked him out, she was nervous beyond all belief. Just as she was left to speak with her thoughts, a black limo arrived to her home. She suddenly beamed in happiness as she went over to the car and opened the back-door, to find Crimson wearing a nice formal black-vest and a red tie over a nice white shirt and black formal shoes and pants. Crimson looked happy to be there as well, having paid for the limo himself, just so Sunset could have a good time. Sunset quickly scooted over to Crimson, sitting next to him as the driver began to head to Canterlot High, home to the largest and grandest formal in the school's history! The night was going to be unforgettable, but not for the right reason....
Meanwhile... A dark red 1969 Ford Mustang careened down the street towards the school for the Formal. Inside, the driver and passenger were getting closer. Rainbow Dash was dressed in a gold, glittering latex dress in a similar shape to Jessica Rabbit's, with black, thigh-high black leather lace-up stiletto combat boots, her hair tied in a ponytail, and gold, glittering eyeliner. She sat next to Circuit, who wore a tuxedo with a green bowtie. "You ready for tonight, hot stuff?" asked Rainbow Dash, staring at him with lustful eyes. "Sure am," replied Circuit longingly. "We're never gonna forget tonight," said Rainbow Dash as she parked in the school parking lot and kissed Circuit. She was right, but for all the wrong reasons...
Spoiler: Music for scene The other students of the school soon began to appear at the celebration, many of them who were lucky enough to bring their own dates. Some of the more nerdy students usually kept to themselves, but even some of them had their own celebration to attend to. Fluttershy even brought her own date along, the 8ft walking tank that was Bulk Biceps. And Pinkie delivered. The music and celebration got off into an amazing hitch, and even the teachers were partying with the students. Some students seen a different side to Principal Celestia that they had never seen before, as she strut her stuff on the dance floor to the applause of the crowd. Turned out that a woman her age happened to be an amazing dancer. Sadly, this wasn't built to last... ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Meanwhile, 5 blocks away from CHS. Spoiler: Music for scene An enormous group of thugs gathered around in an abandoned food-store that sat dormant for decades. Inside was an assembly of every underage criminal gang in Canterlot, all who for one night only, called a truce to put aside their petty differences to take down a much larger problem at hand. The eradication of the Pink Cloud gang by Crimson had all put them in a dangerous position, and now they were all exposed. "Raven Claw is still in hospital!" One of the gang leaders said, a Japanese youth said, armed with a samurai sword on his back. "We can't attack tonight! If we made a scene, the cops will tear us apart!" Arguments erupted around the building, like it had all night, but one figure stood out around the rest. A young 21 year old man, dressed in a long black overcoat and a purple shirt. He sat back as the arguments took place, but the moment he stood up, the entire room went silent. He was the older brother of Raven Claw, Phantom Claw, who had served time in the military prior to being dishonorably discharged over a violent incident during a campaign. "I understand that I don't wish for any of us to be affiliated with one another, many of you hate each others guts, and I know that. But you have come here tonight because you are close to my brother, Raven. The punk that took him down is at the Formal tonight, and if he can take down my Brother's gang, then he will easily destroy yours without breaking a sweat. Which is why I've been approached by a special someone..." Phantom said. "There is a price on Crimson's head, roughly about $25,000. That fire at the warehouse must have been his work, the police and public claim that it was a chemical explosion was utter lies. Nobody can cause that. And as of now....the price is at around $500,000." All the teens in the room were utterly shocked, but Phantom kept talking. "You want a better life, yes? Tonight, this is your chance! All he is asking is for anyone here to find Lionheart and kill him, then we will divide the money among ourselves. Think about it! The future that you have been robbed of once is back again! We have a second chance!" Phantom said, to which the entire room erupted in applause. "Now, in the name of my brother....let's get our revenge!"
Circuit and Rainbow walked into a celebration, with all their friends and fellow students dancing, talking, drinking and outright celebrating themselves in what would be remembered as the best celebration that CHS has ever thrown. Crimson and Sunset were near the back, while the rest of the friends with a notable exception of Fluttershy were all talking. Pinkie Pie was making a scene, where she was showing off her dance moves... Unaware, that a small army was approaching them. Soon, they would have no time. And no warning...
"So..." asked Circuit nervously, "enjoying yourself?" Rainbow Dash nodded. Unbeknownst to anyone but herself, hidden inside her boots were switchblades, which she could take out at a moments notice. She could also remove the covers on her heels to reveal another pair of blades. Rainbow Dash was prepared for a fight, and she was going to get one...
Spoiler: Music for scene Just as things were about to get fun and romantic, the sound of glass-shattering completely echoed throughout the entire hall, the doors swung open violently and dozens upon dozens of men quickly rushed into the building, armed with crude melee weaponry such as metal baseball bats, switchblades and knives, golf-clubs, and even multiple thugs armed with some guns, some of which looked like they were shotguns or powerful pistols. Their leader walked in last, armed with a very powerful assault rifle that looked that just by itself, it would kill the entire school. His second in command was a Japanese student with a samurai sword. The students screamed loudly as some of the thugs got their attention by firing at the ceiling, as their nights were ruined forever. More then a hundred thugs were inside the building, while some of the others blocked or barricaded all of the exits with vans. The leader looked older then the others, but spoke loudly. "Canterlot High!" Phantom Claw called out. "One of your own is here tonight, responsible for putting my brother in a coma alongside his twenty friends. He is to surrender himself tonight in five minutes, otherwise we will start taking hostages. I'm looking for Crimson Lionheart!" Crimson was nowhere to be seen, even Sunset had no idea where he was. He was with her a second ago, maybe this is what he meant when he said that something bad would happen. Some of the students were terrified out of their wits, with many of the girls crying. Principal Celestia hid in the back and quickly tried to make a phone-call for the police, but Phantom caught the act and with only one bullet, shot the mobile out of her hands and utterly destroyed it. Celestia shrieked in terror at the sudden explosion of her phone. "That reminds me" Phantom calmly said. "ALRIGHT EVERYONE! Give us your cell phones and wallets! And no one gets hurt. Don't make us remind you who rules in this neighborhood!" Pinkie Pie let go the loudest scream anyone has ever heard from her, while Rarity tired to calm her down. "Come on! We're not here to play games! Give us the money or things will get nasty." The teens say while pointing their knives at your friends. Many of the girls quickly hand them their belongings, along with the males. Sunset was now sobbing loudly, having experienced what is her first mugging. "Come on! We don't have all day!" A thug yells at a crying Derpy, throwing her into the middle of the room as the blonde haired girl screamed in pain, tears flowing down her face. "Don't hurt me...!" She barely manages to say as she hands him her purse, but the thug now got more aggressive, starting to rip open her shirt as the helpless yet terrified students watched on. Derpy was on the verge of being raped, and there was nothing they could do... Not unless Crimson surrendered himself...
Suddenly, the thug assaulting Derpy was struck in the side of the leg by a sharp blade. He keeled over and fell on his knee, as Rainbow Dash removed her heel from his leg. "Run, Derpy. Put your shirt back on and run," she told her. She nodded and obeyed. She removed the switchblades from her boots. "Anyone else wanna go?" she taunted at the other thugs. Circuit, meanwhile, was having little trouble dispatching his attackers.
Orchid's training was paying off as Circuit and Rainbow managed to take down some of the attackers, however, they still outnumbered the entire formal by around Three to One. Sadly, Rainbow and Circuit were still overwhelmed and with one powerful tackle, pinned Rainbow to the ground in exhaustion. All people had their limits afterall, and Rainbow had reached hers. Circuit would son follow suit, unless backup arrived suit. And that it did, as a moment later, the doors slammed open again as two mobsters fell to the ground unconscious...
The SWAT team had just arrived on the scene, and just in time, too, because Rainbow Dash could be heard saying, weakly but defiantly, "Try to rape me... and you'll never have kids." The SWAT team outnumbered the thugs by two to one, as they led the students to safety and took the thugs into custody. "Are you two alright?" an officer asked Rainbow Dash and Circuit. "Surprisingly," said Circuit. "You two did a good job keeping those punks occupied until we arrived." "Thanks, officer," said Rainbow Dash, chuckling slightly at the compliment.
Sunset looked about in a lost daze, almost as if she was looking for something. But...someone. "Have you seen Crim?" She asked. --------------------- Meanwhile... Phantom and several of his acquaintances got away safely, having abandoned ship the moment the SWAT arrived. He was here to get revenge for his brother, but this almost seemed out of his league. Then, maybe some hundred or so meters on the soccer pitch, was the man he was looking for. Still dressed in formal, but now looking surprisingly emotionless. Just as Phantom and his thugs spotted him, Phantom started to approach him slowly, his men following suit. "My little brother is likely going to die because of you. Do you really think that everything is going to be alright!?" Phantom yelled. Crimson just looked at him coldly. Saying nothing as it started to bucket down with rain. "Enough! Time to die Lionheart!" Phantom said before him and all of his men began to charge. "Your funeral..." Crimson quietly said to himself, bracing for impact.
"OH GOD!! CRIMSON!!" said Sunset, as she ran towards him. "Sunset, no, come back!" said Rainbow Dash.
Spoiler: Music for Scene (Highly Recommend) The first thug charged as an enormous group of thugs swarmed towards Crimson, the first of them swinging a wooden baseball bat towards him. The attack failed to connect, as Crim merely dodged to the side as the baseball bat went into the air, which was followed by a boot to the chest. A mere moment later, one thug happened to appear right above the other stunned thug with a machete, another swing that missed accidentally as Crim followed through by stealing a knife out the holster of a thug that went right past him, and removing him out of the battle entirely with a simple strike to the side as the blade hit his hips, causing him to fall. Crimson then wrapped the knife's grip around the bat-wielding thug from before, who attacked from behind, before cutting both of his wrists open in another move then causing him to fall. From count, it seemed about 30 thugs tried to charge him. However, their largest weakness was that they all didn't follow any sort of formation and merely went ahead to attack him, which seemed to fail for the first less-disciplined pawns as they were defeated in detail by Crimson. It wasn't until about ten seconds later, when Phantom and any gun-wielding thug opened fire with pistols, while Phantom tried to converse his ammo and try to pinpoint precise shots as a marksman, his military training helping to the cause. All Crim could do was run for his life as he leapt to the cover of the sport's shed. Three seconds later, two thugs threw bottles filed with cloth that had been set flame, exploding on contact against the shed as the entire cover was set aflame, along with a small patch of grass around the shed. The gun-wielding thugs then let go for a moment to reload, but just before Crimson leapt straight through the flames like a man with a deathwish, equipped with nothing but a knife in his mouth and a wooden bat in his right hand. He charged the moment they were reloading, catching the unaware thugs by surprise as they desperately tried to fire a round into him. Crimson hooked a foe with a crowbar after disabling his shoulder before a sudden stun to the foe's neck caused him to drop to the ground. Phantom, having lost a vast majority of his men, was prepared to take matters into his own hands. He soon took aim and emptied an entire clip towards Crimson, but managed to kill one of his own men to which Crimson used as makeshift human shield by kicking him towards the rifle fire. Phantom was running out of men, fast. But something had caught his attention, Sunset had now run onto the now burning soccer-field. The flames were now getting serious enough to prevent anyone outside the field to enter without the right attire, otherwise they'd face burning to death. While his goons were starting to drop like flies, Phantom appeared behind Sunset by forcibly taking her by the neck and pulling something that he had been saving for when he was going to kill Crimson, a .357 Magnum revolver. Sunset, although it was possible to fight back, found the strength of the ex-solider to completely overwhelm her, and was practically helpless. She tried out in utter terror as the flames now covered vast areas of the pitch as it headed towards the middle, where the showdown was occurring. As the last thug fell, Crimson looked to see Sunset scream, seeing her pupil's shrink to the size of a pea. Phantom now had Crimson right where he wanted him, completely at his mercy. But the moment he seen him hesitate, he knew that this wasn't just anyone that he was holding. Meanwhile, the SWAT members that wasn't trying to protect the students and teachers from the armed thugs were now trying to extinguish the flames to clear a path. And it seemed to be working, but it would take a while for them to cross safely. Some were watching from above in a police helicopter that now circled the scene, as fire-fighters and ambulances began to arrive en-mass, waiting for the situation to pass before they could treat the tremendous damages and possible dead. The last thing they needed was for another fatality, but looking at the situation now, it seemed possible that one of these three people could potentially die. ---------------------------------------------------------------- "He's going to die! We can't let this happen!" Applejack stubbornly tried to push through the SWAT guards, but instead was repelled with a gentle yet forced push. "We can't go through! Currently we have a hostage and our chopper is unable to get a direct shot, and we don't want to risk anymore casualty's. We will need to clear a path with the fire-department before we can get through" A High-Ranking SWAT officer said, placing a reassuring hand on AJ's shoulder. "We're completely helpless...." Rarity said sadly. "I hope Sunset gets out safely..." -------------------------------- Things just got more complex. If Crim made a sudden movement, Sunset would die. If he didn't, then he would die, but it's also possible for Phantom to shoot Sunset straight afterwards. Instead, he was about ten meters away, locking eyes in a furious gaze as Phantom felt like he was holding the world in his palm, instead of a girl. "Oh....so this is someone special then?" Phantom asked Sunset, pointing at Crimson as she forced Sunset to look at the now battered and bruised man, as the rain above tired and did little to stop the flames other then preventing them from spreading. "Who is this man to you?" He then cocked the revolver to the side of her head, almost causing the usually headstrong girl to scream again. "Tell me...exactly who is he to you?" Phantom said. "This might be the last time that you will see him alive..."
At that moment, Phantom felt a gun's barrel touch the back of his head. "Let the woman go," said a young woman's voice with a thick Australian accent.
Phantom didn't flinch, but instead just laughed the moment the barrel touched his head. This bought some valuable time for Crimson, who took a few steps closer to Sunset and Phantom while the leader of the group of thugs was occupied with Orchid. But Orchid never wanted to put a bullet in his head, instead she actually knocked him by pistol-whipping the back of his skull hard enough for him to lose grip of Sunset. As Phantom winced, he lost his grip on Sunset but not his Magnum. Then, Crimson made his move as he took a knife from a defeated foe and charged at him with lightning speed. Phantom recovered faster then expected, and aimed a round directly at Crim's skull....but missed. Crimson tackled him to the ground while Orchid took the revolver and helped Sunset, and the flames began to clear. Crimson had the knife pressed up against that adam's apple of Phantom's throat, close enough to draw blood. Phantom was now in shock, as Crimson came close to killing him. "Crimson! Stop!" Sunset ran behind Crim to hug him from behind, trying to get him to calm down. Crimson didn't surrender, even if Sunset was trying to get him to stop. He was close to murdering this man, right in view of the other students and cops. He continued to press the knife to his throat, right until it started to draw more blood, almost looking like it was about to slice straight through his neck...
