"I felt it too... a great disturbance in the--" "Hush, Chryssi, do you wanna get us sued?" said a draconequus who had popped out of a nearby bush at that very moment. He spoke in the exact same voice as the creature Derpy knew as Discord. However, Derpy could sense nothing but good-natured fun from him. "I couldn't resist the opportunity presented to me, Accord..." Chrysalis replied with a blush. "But I did indeed sense that something terrible has happened."
Accord nodded. "Sweetdream has just been killed....I hope those bastards of Celestia realise what they have done..." He said before turning to Derpy. "As for you, I can sense something within you. Something powerful. Sweetdream entrusted us to look after you and get rid of this mess, so we should waste no time in destorying this pathetic regime that's ruling Equestria." Before walking away from the group. Accord then looked at Derpy again. "Welcome to the Resistance, Ms. Hooves"
"Um... thanks," said Derpy nervously. ---- "Countess," said Rainbow Dash confidently, "good news." "Fantastic," replied Twilight, "what do you have to report?"
"Sweetdream Moon has been completely eliminated, with her being destroyed by the three of us." Rainbow reported. "She did however, have an accomplance at her side. She was nothing but a local however, and completely irrelevant of a threat. The traitor is dead however..."
Twilight Sparkle sucked her teeth for a moment. "Rainbow Dash, about an hour ago, a patrol reported spotting a cross-eyed pegasus fraternizing with the Changeling princess and the draconequus in the Everfree Forest. Do you possibly know who that could be?" Rainbow Dash gulped. "The accomplice?" "Aaaand, I'm sensing a great power from that forest that I can't readily identify. Do you know where it could possibly be coming from?" "The ac-accomplice..." "Very good. Now, use your brain for this one. If somepony was in league with the resistance, who would it be?" "The accompli--" "The accomplice, yes. And you let her escape?" "I underestimated her, My Lady!" said Rainbow Dash desperately. "Mm-hmm... Soldier #82, come here please. I need an example," ordered Twilight ominously. In trotted an orange pegasus stallion with a blue mane. "Private Flash Sentry, reporting, My Lady," he said, "What sort of examp--" Before he could finish, his head began to swell and turn red, before exploding in a shower of blood and brain matter. "See that, Rainbow Dash?" asked the Countess angrily, "That's you and your partners if you don't bring her before me within the next two hours."
The three of them ran outside towards the Everfree Forest. "Damnit, damnit, DAMNIT!" Rainbow Dash shouted angrily, "I should never have been so stupid!" "What you did was only stupid in hindsight," replied Circuit, "We didn't know what the hell she was up to." "I still should have listened to Crimson..." she responded.
"And now we are living timebombs" Crimson said. "So that must mean that we need to kill this rodent before we literally lose our heads" He then had an idea. "The Resistance base would be well hidden obviously, from the ground and above so that no Pegasi patrols can spot them from above. That however, doesn't mean that their homebase has no weakness. And with a resistance group of this size, it'd be hard for them to hide themselves....unless..." Crimson then tapped his hooves on the ground, suddenly feeling the ground was harder then before. "Rainbow, Circuit...We are standing above it. It's about ten inches of steel hidden below 15 meters of ground. The entire complex is underground, so one precisely placed blast can completely negate their defenses to virtually nothing" He said to the two. "Can one of you send me up so I can punch a hole through it? I'm about to become a bunker buster..."
"Nice strategy, General," said Rainbow Dash, genuinely admiring Crimson's quick-thinking. "I'll carry you." ----- "So, what happened out there?" asked a booming, baritone voice, which normally belonged to a power-hungry centaur. Here, it belonged to a noble warrior and diplomat from another land. His fur was blue where it would otherise be black, and white where it was normally red. His eyes had white sclerae instead of the normal black, with yellow irises and black pupils. "Prince Tirek, we found the one Sweetdream Moon spoke of..." said Chrysalis, gesturing towards Derpy. "And what of Sweetdream herself?" asked a scholarly-looking male unicorn that Derpy could not readily recognize. She assumed (correctly) that it was Sombra. "She... was eliminated in the line of battle..." said Accord somberly.
Prince Tirek just shook sadly. "We will miss her, but she would want us to continue our mission to liberate Equestria. She's always been like that, she wouldn't want us to mourn for her. That would come later..."
"Indeed," said Sombra, "She inspired many of us to rise up against Queen Celestia's tyranny. Now that she has left us... we will carry on without her. It's what she would want us to do. Besides, the Resistance shall continue as long as one pony still has the hope to fight for it." ----- Rainbow Dash carried Crim up to the sky, 500 feet up. "Time for a little house call," she said.
Crimson then suddenly let himself go from her arms as he was dropped, free falling towards Equestria below as he began to make his attack run. He suddenly tensed up to flex his muscles to a shocking amount of strength, even greater then that of a Princess, as he was mere meters from his target. The moment he made contact with the ground, the entire world seemed to shake to those on the ground as he completely bypassed the ground and steel fortifications and landed inside of the Resistance base, in the middle of a hallway, while making a crater about 50 meters wide. Anypony within this crater underground suddenly found themselves in a dangerous air bubble from the decompression, as their chests collapsed as the air was literally sucked out of them, before being crushed violently by tons of ground and steel. Crimson made an entrance, and it was one hell of an entrance. It was so powerful that it almost completely destroyed an entire sub-section of the Resistance base. He looked towards the two nearby and made the motion to follow, just as an air-raid siren screamed from the intercom. Not like it wasn't hard to find out that the Resistance was being attacked anyway...
Suddenly, the alarm sounded. "ALERT!! ALERT!! IMPERIAL FORCES DETECTED IN CORRIDOR 1138!! ALL HOOVES, BATTLE STATIONS!!" "They found us..." said Accord in horror. "I am not afraid," said Tirek with a sly smile. "For even as I trot through the valley of death, I am a living house-sized mass of 'screw you.'" "Princesssss!!" reported a panicked Changeling scout, "We've identified the infiltratorssss..." "Go on," replied Chrysalis. "It'sssss that blue pegasssussss and her two partnersssss!" Tirek's smile faded. "Okay, now I'm scared." ----- "High Admiral Rainbow Dash to the Countess," said Rainbow Dash through her radio, "We've found the Resistance base, and we believe the fugitive is inside along with the remaining rebel scum!" "And here I thought you were going to disappoint me..." said Twilight, "Well, I'm on my way. I'll rendezvous with you shortly!"
Derpy backed up as Resistance fighters quickly stormed past her. She panicked before looking at Chrysalis, to which the Changeling looked at the Pegasus. "Equestria is doomed if they capture you, we are going to do everything to get you out safely!" Chrysalis said. ---------------------------- Crimson watched as the first wave was completely blasted away by a mere shockwave from his hooves banging across the wall, knocking the fighters unconscious. He wasn't impressed with how the Resistance could put up a decent fight, but once he got deeper into the facility, he would finally get what he wanted...
Soon, the Countess herself had arrived. "Let's hope you're right about this," Twilight said, "I would be very reluctant to kill my most loyal and powerful lieutenant and her two closest partners." "Agreed, My Lady," nodded Rainbow Dash, as she and the Countess ran towards the heart of the facility. Meanwhile, Circuit was fast at work disabling the rest of the facility's security measures. ----- Derpy nodded and followed Chrysalis's lead. I woke up this morning hoping I could have a normal day, she thought to herself, but nope, here I am thrust smack dab in a parallel dimension where Chrysalis and Nightmare Moon are good guys and Circuit, Crim, Rainbow Dash and Princess Twilight are evil! Sometimes I just don't know what went wrong, but this... I just don't know what went right. Tirek told the others, "I shall remain behind to defend what's left of the outpost. Everypony else needs to evacuate."
Chrysalis turned around in shock, as an almost saddened face began to form. She knew that deep in her heart, that this would happen...but not like this. "You would die..." She said in sadness. "We just can't leave you" Tirek had a bittersweet smile on his face. "I know, and I preferred that I wouldn't have met my demise like this also. But for a safer world, our mission is to protect Ms. Hooves at all costs. I'm prepared to sacrifice myself for this." Chrysalis nodded sadly, as the rest of the Resistance fighters tried to escort her out, slowly escaping through the long and narrow escape tunnel. And in a nick of time, as the defenses to the entire facility were completely shut-down.
In flew Rainbow Dash and Twilight Sparkle. "We meet again, Prince Tirek," said the Countess, "and it seems that you have something that belongs to me." "I have nothing you want," replied Tirek sternly.
Twilight merely shrugged at the attack, as Tirek's magic blasted across the room. She then slapped the attack out of the way like it was nothing, sending it sideways before exploding the side of the wall. Just as Tirek realized his attack had failed, he didn't realize that Circuit and Crimson had continued without the Countess and Rainbow, hoping to cut Derpy's escape... -------------------------------------------------- Derpy felt another powerful feeling, the same as before, as she suddenly felt more aware of her surroundings. "Um...ponies? We are being followed" Derpy said as the Resistance tried to escape.
