The door opened to show the President at his desk, alongside another man in a white labcoat and a couple of Secret Service agents in every corner of the room. The Crim and Dash walked into the room as the a President turned to face them, a smile of appreciation on his face. "Mr. Lionheart and Ms. Dash, thank you for being here on such short notice." The President told the two.

"And it's a pleasure to meet you as well, Ms.Dash." The President said back to Rainbow. "Both of you are the first metahumans in human history. An honour to which I'm proud to have met you. You two are inspirations to the people of Canterlot, we discovered footage of Mr.Lionheart saving a student from a fire at your school." "However...I did not ask you to come today so that I can reward the two of you. The entire world is on the verge of the apocalypse, and you two are the only hope for humanity." The President looked at the scientist next to him as he brought up a picture of an asteroid. The scientist adjusted himself to speak to the two teenagers in the room. "This is TFY-242, a recently discovered asteroid. It's approximately twice the size of Tokyo, Japan. This asteroid has just missed a collision course with Jupiter, and the orbit of Jupiter has changed its course to impact Earth. We could potentially see the end of the human race and all life on Earth if this hits the earth." "Which is why....we came to you. The public does not know of the existence of this threat, but every leader in the world at the moment is panicking."

"We will launch the two of you into space, and you will destroy the asteroid by any means possible. I'm sure that a man and women of your abilities will be able to get the job done." The President said to the two. "So...you are going to take us into space, so we can punch this asteroid into non-existence. Hell of a plan, sir."

(K.) The rocket took off at breakneck speed. Inside were Rainbow and Crimson, prepared to destroy the asteroid headed for Earth. Once they were within 500 miles of the asteroid, the two donned their spacesuits and left the capsule. These spacesuits did nothing to impede Crimson or Rainbow's movements. Upon reaching the asteroid, Rainbow punched a hole into it, however, it revealed mechanical innards. Rainbow Dash fell inside, onto a chair, which inserted something into her spinal cord, wiping all emotion and independent thought from her mind. She unknowingly became the queen of an entire race of cyborgs. Then, suddenly, she activated a wavelength that broadcasted a message through every electronic device on Earth. "I am the Hivemind," she declared, "queen of the Hive. All sentient life on Earth will be assimilated into the Hive. It is useless to resist." Sent from my Nokia 3310 using Tapatalk 2
"Like hell you are!" Crimson said as he overheard everything. Just before he jumped down and was going to save Rainbow, he was shot with some strange purple plasma beam that sent him flying upwards onto the surface. The new 'Hivemind' now took Crimson by the neck and threw him as hard as she could, directly out of the atmosphere and into the black void of space. With oxygen becoming a problem to his now damaged suit, he couldn't do anything to to stop himself flying back to Earth. ----------------- Meanwhile, footage appeared of Crimson burning up in the atmosphere. While he would have survived the fall, that wasn't was the important part. What was important was that the question was answered. Mankind wasn't alone anymore in the universe.
"Uuuuuuuuuuccccck!" Cried a burning comet that was quickly falling to earth before slamming into an isolated forest somewhere on Earth. The impact caused a miniature explosion of dirt and fire to shoot into the sky and blew down any tree within 800 meters. Crimson hit the field hard. It was an event almost like the Tungska Event, except in human form. While physically not hurt, him falling from space did. His spacesuit and all other clothing had disintegrated in the immense heat of him entering the atmosphere. He was naked, sitting and holding his head in a crater alone with no form of civilisation for who knew how far, and with an alien invasion happening. One thing shot to his mind, what would happen to Sunset? What about Circuit? What about his friend Rainbow, who just got her mind taken over by these aliens and now ruled them as their leader? Once he got clothes, he would find out -------------------------------- "Hive soldiers are currently attacking and capturing any human that comes across their path. The military has been placed on high alert and are responding with lethal force. Their base of operations is a gigantic asteroid which is currently on course to impact Earth somewhere in the Pacific Ocean, Canada or Siberia. "The man on a news station spoke over the TV set. "Ladies and gentlemen, humanity is now at war. Do not be afraid...." Sunset watched the impending apocalypse occur before her eyes. These..machines, got Rainbow. She seen footage of Crimson burning in the atmosphere like a comet, scared out of her wits. She was defenceless against this threat, she didn't have superpowers like the rest of her friends did and no fighting skills. If she managed to get some, she could help her boyfriend repel this threat. If Crimson was assimilated, it would have been all over for mankind. Humanity would have been utterly defenceless against this threat, and billions will die or be assimilated. The first thing she did was pick up Circuit, finding him unconscious. She thought that he must have fainted when he found out what happened, although she would had done the same if Crim was the new 'Hivemind'. She picked him up and put him in her car, and drove as far away from Canterlot as she possibly could, avoiding panicking civilians as she done so since the Hive would likely be targeting populated areas. She couldn't allow herself or Circuit to get captured, running through a list of things in her head as she done so. She didn't really think anything through when it came to a long term plan, it was all about survival at the moment. ----------------------------------- Crimson didn't know where he was, but a helicopter soon came overhead and began speaking to him in a foreign language. He didn't know where, but he thought that he could have landed somewhere in Asia. A UN team must had found him where he landed, figuring he made enough noise when he crashed into the ground and destroying quite a large amount of forest. The moment they could, the UN got him back to US authorities to get him suited up for war as they took him back to a secret location in America. This was an alien invasion, a war to end all wars. If humanity wanted to survive, they need to get Lionheart ready to fight against the Hive with the Human Resistance. Although humanity wasn't entirely defenceless, their chances already of winning this war was slim to none without superpowered intervention. This race was extremely advanced, at least a couple of centuries or Millenia of so then present day earth. The United Nations were going to pool their resources to fight against this menace, and to supercharge Crimson. A team of doctors and scientists managed to make him superhuman to save his life, imagine what the brightest minds on the planet could do to him. He was the only person who could stop the Indoctrinated Rainbow Dash and her new army from wiping out mankind. Crimson fell asleep and was placed into an induced coma on the helicopter for preparations on the surgery that was going to place on him. He wouldn't wake up as the same man as he was before, he would wake up as something completely different. He would wake up as the Guardian of Mankind, a Defender of Humanity, a real superhero. Once he wakes up, he will change the world. (Oh boy, ****'s gonna get real soon!)
Circuit woke up to find himself in the car with Sunset, with no idea why he was there. Then he remembered... aliens had brainwashed Rainbow Dash into becoming their leader! He knew what he had to do. "Sunset, drive to the nearest NASA facility. I'm going to save Rainbow myself," he told her.
"Circuit, I'm not sure that NASA exists at the moment. Attacking them in your lonesome would be suicide, and I'm sure that none of us want to lose you." Sunset told him before sighing. "But it's still worth checking out" She turned the car around and drove as fast as she could to one of their facilities. --------------------------------------- Crimsons body arrived in an extremely high tech war room, complete with a monitor and map of the world the size of a building. His body was taken to the science and medical departments as doctors began to surround an operating table with doctors switching every now and then. This operation was going to take at least three days non-stop, but the end result would be nothing more then brilliant. Above the medical room was the President, the highest ranking general in the US army and several other important scientists and men. Crimson had to survive his newest augmentations, doing so would not only make him fifty times more powerful but essentially unstoppable. The medical side of things would come first, suiting him up would come later. It was strange why they chose a teenager to experiment upon, but it was because a teenagers body could handle augmentations better then an adult counterpart. With Crimson already being far beyond superhuman already; he was perfect. "Mr. President, are you sure this is a good idea?" The General asked the man next to him. "He shall be humanity's finest warrior." The President said to everybody in the room. "Like clay we shall mold him and in the furnace of war forge him. He shall be of iron will and steel sinew. In great armour we shall clad them and with the mightiest weapons of man he will be armed. He will be untouched by plague or disease; no sickness shall blight he. He shall have such tactics, strategies and skills that no foe can best them in battle. He will be the bulwark against the Terror. He will be the Defender of Humanity. He will be humanities Archangel and he shall know no fear."
Fortunately, when Circuit and Sunset arrived at the facility, it was completely devoid of anyone other than themselves. Circuit found the nearest Delta-2 rocket and set the launch co-ordinates towards the asteroid. "If I don't make it back," he said as he boarded the rocket, "tell Crimson that it's all up to him." And with that, the rocket took off. Later, the capsule within the rocket landed within the asteroid. "Identify yourself, Earthling," said the Hivemind. "Rainbow, it's me, Circuit," he said. "Analyzing database," the Hivemind replied. She paused for a moment, then said, "You are Circuit Breaker, native of the planet Terra, species Homo sapiens, measuring 1.803 meters in height and 79.37 kilograms in mass, male, aged sixteen years, grey skin, chestnut hair, brown eyes, born Thursday, April 16, in the year one thousand, nine hundred ninety-eight Anno Domini at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan, United States, North America, to unidentified parents, currently residing at the address 93 Saban Lane, in the city of Canterlot, California, United States, North America, attending Canterlot High School in the eleventh grade level, romantically interested in my former identity as Rainbow Dash, and currently within the Hivemind operational chamber in the futile hope of restoring my previous identity." Circuit was stunned. She knew him better than he knew himself. "All correct, except for one thing," he replied. "Explain," demanded the Hivemind. "Your former identity, as you call her, is still inside you, fighting to get out, terrified at what her body has become." "Her body is a mere vessel for the Hivemind itself, a collective of the Hive consciousness within one mind and one body. Her mind is gone forever." "LIES!!!" shouted Circuit Breaker, as he leaped into the air and removed a cable from her spinal cord. Almost immediately, Rainbow Dash had full control over her body once more. "What happened?" she asked, "What did I do?" "You didn't do anything," Circuit replied, "the Hivemind simply began an invasion of Earth." "Do you really forgive me, Circuit?" "Why would I forgive someone who hasn't done anything wrong? I know you weren't responsible," Circuit explained. "Thank you," Rainbow Dash said as she hugged Circuit. "Right," Circuit said as she let go. "Now, I need you to do me a favor." "What?" "Destroy anything you can find inside the asteroid. It's all part of the Hivemind. Destroy the Hivemind, and we stop the Hive. Stop the Hive, and we save the human race." "Right," said Rainbow Dash, as she made quick work of the electronics within the asteroid. --------------------------------------- Suddenly, every Hive drone throughout the galaxy collapsed, most of whom were either on Earth or approaching it. After this, Vladimir Putin, the President of the Russian Federation, who until that moment was surrounded by Hive drones, immediately phoned the President of the United States. "Mr. Obama," he said through the phone, "They've stopped. It's over." --------------------------------------- Upon returning to Earth, Rainbow Dash and Circuit Breaker told everyone what they did, and they were immediately celebrated as heroes, and rewarded with the highest honors possible from every nation in the world. This was the last moment mankind would be seperated by national borders, because at that moment, the United Nations members unanimously voted to unite every nation on Earth into a single global republic; the Allied Republic of Earth. All wars currently occuring were immediately given cease-fires, world peace had been achieved, and as the new capital of this republic was New York City, the world needed leadership. Almost immediately, all of the world selected Circuit Breaker to be Chancellor of the Allied Republic, and Rainbow Dash as the First Lady. Circuit then chose Crimson as his Lieutenant Chancellor, and Sunset as his Secretary of State. (Can you write Circuit's inaugural speech? It's gotta be inspiring and all that jazz, and I'm feeling a little lazy ATM. )
(Just gonna tie up a lose end first, especially with Crimson being supercharged) When the HIve ships were signalled to have ceased all together, everybody who was involved in improving Crimson didn't stop their work. Instead, with little chance of being attacked by another alien threat for a long time, their progress actually improved quite dramatically. The surgical process still took around three days to accomplish, but the results were far greater then what they had ever dreamed about. Before them wasn't a warrior, or a human for that matter. In their efforts at playing God, they created one. Crimson was still in an induced coma, and he did not change in physical appearance. Although, he was a genetic Demi-God. Crimson could now lift somewhere between 90 to 150 tons, and could run as fast as Mach 9. He had virtually infinite stamina and his skin and bones were virtually indestructible. He could run across the surface of the Pacific Ocean in less then seven minutes. To top things off, his reaction time and intelligence was significantly increased, as scientists now ensured he used around 90% of his brain as opposed to the standard 10%. They created the ultimate warrior, a hero that never got to fight against the Hive threat it was created for. Not like it mattered anyway, he would be invaluable asset to humanity. Aside from being a human weapon, Crimson was also a highly skilled diplomat and preferred reason and logic over violence. Although, should the need for violence arise, then he was more then ready to defend himself. His body was placed inside of a stasis tube while some other scientists worked on a suit of armour and weapons, if he ever needed them, as a computer ran diagnostics and scans on his brain to imprint various forms of combat. All the while, Crimson was completely unaware that he was now the third most powerful and influential person on the planet, the Lieutenant Chancellor of the ARE.
Meanwhile, at Circuit's orders, both he and Rainbow were given similar enhancements to Crimson, should Crimson be somehow incapacitated. Circuit was now capable of lifting 170 tons, running at Mach 10, and near-indestructible skin and bones, as well as the ability to use 95 percent of his brain. Rainbow Dash was even more enhanced, capable of lifting 250 tons, running at Mach 13, almost-indestructible skin and bones, and the ability to use 99 percent of her brain. Sunset was also given enhancements on par with Crimson's current abilities. "How do you feel, Rainbow Dash?" asked Circuit. "Great," replied Rainbow Dash, "Like I could take on anything." --------------------------------------- Seven weeks passed, and it was now time for Circuit to deliver his speech. He stood at the balcony of One World Trade Center in New York City, along with Rainbow, Sunset and Crimson, who handed Circuit the speech, which was written by Crimson. Circuit cleared his throat, ready to deliver his speech.
"Seven weeks ago, we have set something in motion. The men and women of humanity and united together to survive against an impending alien threat. The Hive, which sought to sow the seeds of sorrow and genocide against the fruit of all of our labours. We not only survived, but this act of terror that has been thrown against us has allowed us to come together under international harmony. As history has shown, we are weaker divided then we are united. As of today, we officially celebrate the formation of an Allied Republic of Earth. We are here as a United earth to help build a better future for mankind as we look towards the stars." Circuit spoke to the crowd, who had erupted rapturously in cheers. (Wrote that in under five minutes.)
