(But of course. :3 Also, post 20 never happened, k? K.) The bell rang again, for the class Circuit Breaker was dreading the most: History. Apparently, Mr. Tirek did not like Circuit that much, and he was keen on showing it. It's one thing to be bullied by another student, but it's something completely different to be harassed by a teacher. And Circuit didn't even know what he did to upset Mr. Tirek. (Can you play Tirek?)
Mr. Tirek entered the class, grumpy as always. He went in with a cup of coffee and not a single smile on his face. As he went in, he already looked like he was angry at something. Crimson could tell instantly not to anger this man, although History was a subject he excelled at. "Alright!" Tirek ordered like a drill Sargent. "Let's get this a productive lesson. Page 98, chapters 1 to 3"
Everyone opened their books to the stated page and began reading. Circuit Breaker's textbook was badly graffitied, he had noticed since day one. However, he had not dared to ask for a replacement, and in fact wondered occasionally if Mr. Tirek intentionally assigned the vandalized textbook to him. Page 98, however, was different. It looked like someone had thrown up on the page and hadn't bothered to clean it up, causing the barf stains to settle in for years to come. From what Circuit could make out on the non-stained parts of the page, today they would be studying the Vietnam War.
Crimson would have had perfect textbook, if it wasn't for every single piece of important information being highlighted. Everything that was important was highlighted much to Crimsons joy, and even key hints to the answer was there on the page. Looking over at Circuit, he could tell that he unfortunately had the worst book possible. He was really the only "friend" at the school, and was willing to trade or even get in trouble if needed.
The bell rang, much to every student's relief. Rainbow Dash ran up to Circuit Breaker in the hallway and said, "Well, how were second and third period?" "Horrible," Circuit Breaker responded, "Spitfire kicked me in the balls today, and then did the same to Crimson, the new guy, after he tried to stand up for me." "So THAT'S his name..." said Rainbow Dash, "I never got to ask." "Anyway, third was the usual History guff, you know, but with a crappy scribbled-on textbook." "Yeah..." Rainbow Dash sighed. "Anyway, it's lunchtime. Meet you in the cafeteria." "OK." Circuit Breaker hastily ran to his locker to get his lunch. Once he did so, he went and sat down next to Crimson, and they were soon joined by Rainbow Dash. "So, Crimson, was it?" asked Rainbow Dash, but before she could finish, she was interrupted by Spitfire. "Rainbow Dash, what are you doing with these geeks?" she said, "Don't you know that being an egghead is contagious?" "Don't you know that you're being a b!tch?" replied Rainbow Dash, who was promptly slapped across the face by Spitfire. "I heard that turd burglar over here loves you!" she taunted, "Let's face it, Dash, you aren't his type, so stop giving him false hopes." "I love him too, though, Spitfire!" shouted Rainbow Dash in response, "If anyone has false hope, it's you." "Well, looks like someone doesn't know her place. Soarin, Fleetfoot, throw her in the trash can." Suddenly, Sunset Shimmer walked by and saw Rainbow Dash about to be dunked into a nearby trash can. (Can you play Shimmy? :3)
Not long before Dash would have met the terrible fate of ending up in the trash can, Sunset Shimmer came out of nowhere and performed an acrobatic leg sweep that took out Soarin and Fleetfoot's legs, causing them to fall to the ground and causing Dash to fall right on top of the two of them. She helped Dash up while the two other girls was down, but noticed that Spitfire was absolutely fuming. Once that occurrence happened, she quickly vanished into the crowd who gave her hateful glares. Things haven't been the same since she transformed into a She-Demon and enslaved all the students of the school, apparently over some crown. If it wasn't bad before that, she was the biggest bully in the school, even bigger then Spitfire. Crimson noticed the sadness on her face as she walked off. She is obviously trying to redeem herself, but nobody would even give her a chance. He was a fresh face in the school, so he could at least talk to her. It was the least he could do. "Who was that?" Crimson asked the two, ignoring Spitfire.
"That poor gal over there?" replied Circuit Breaker. "Her name's Sunset Shimmer. She used to be like Spitfire, but ten times worse. Then some new kid came along, and tried to become Princess of the Fall Formal, and that's when things literally went to hell. She turned into some sort of demon and zombified everyone, and if it weren't for the new kid, Rainbow Dash, and her friends, we'd still be her slaves. Poor girl's been trying to make up for it all ever since. Not that that's an easy task, mind you. Nobody'll give her a chance, though. Maybe... maybe you could help her feel better about herself. Maybe you could talk to her. You know, try and cheer her up."
Crimson couldn't help but feel somewhat sorry in her attempts to atone for what she has done. However, she didn't seem that bad. Sunset seemed friendlier then Spitfire, and he's rather have her as the bully instead of the jock nearby. "I'll go do that" Crimson said, getting up from his seat and walking over to her while all eyes were pinned on Spitfire. Once he was over at the lonely table at the other side of the cafeteria, Sunsets ears picked up while she buried her head in her arms. She looked up to see a guy she hasn't seen before, sitting across from her. "You'd really don't want to sit with me." Sunset said sadly. "I'm nothing but bad trouble." Sunset must have spent countless lunchtimes to herself, burrowing into the sadness and regret of all of her actions. "I don't think you are." Crimson replied back, trying to cheer her up. "You look new, but the stories about me are true. I was a real monster, I'be done nothing but hurt people. It's for the best if you stayed away from me." "I don't see people like that. I see somebody who has made mistakes, and is doing everything she can to atone yourself. Everybody else sees you as a monster, but I see you as something else entirely. Something kind and friendly. So, I'm not going to leave no matter how much you yell or argue at me. Everyone deserves a second chance, I want to help you." Sunset looked at Crimson in disbelief. Someone was willing to give her a second chance, something she had been desperately wanted for almost a year. Not only that, but this boy looked at her like a proper human being. Not a demon, not a monster. But as a girl who made mistakes. She rose from her seat and walked over to Crimsons side of the table, some eyes looking at her. Crimson stood up to see what was the matter, Sunset was hiding her face from the crowd Out of the blue, Sunset opened her arms and hugged Crimson as tight as she could. She was shivering cold, although she appeared to be perfectly fine. She buried her head into Crimsons shoulder and cried, plenty of eyes now looking at the two now. She cried, and cried, and cried. Out of happiness that somebody had given her a chance. "T-thank..y-you" Sunset muttered out as she cried again. Crimson did his best to calm her down, patting her back periodically. "It's alright, your not alone anymore." Crimson said back, a smile on his face.
"Aw, look at that, the aborigine found himself a demonic lover," jeered Spitfire, "Sunset and Crimson, sittin' in a tree, K-I-S-S-I-N-" But Spitfire was quickly punched in the face by Rainbow Dash. "SHUT... THE HELL... UP!!" she roared, sick of Spitfire pushing people around. She then turned to the crowd. "Alright, so maybe Sunset's time here at CHS started off as a reign of terror. But people change. In her case, for the better. Believe it or not, there's a girl inside of that body. A real girl, who just wants to be forgiven." "And while, yes, she did enslave us all, that happened in the past," said Circuit Breaker. "To put this in perspective, Hitler was responsible for the deaths of millions. Sunset, on the other hand, merely enslaved a couple hundred. She is far from the monster you think she is. Now the question becomes... who'll give her another shot?" At first, the cafeteria was silent. Then, slowly, cheers erupted across the cafeteria, until it was booming with cheers. Sent from my Nokia 3310 using Tapatalk 2
Crimson smiled while he had his turned his head to face Rainbow Dash, only to notice that a certain Sunset Shimmer was only holding him tighter. Noticing the sudden squeeze that Sunset had given him, she looked at Crimson for the first time in an eternity, tears still in her eyes. Crimson couldn't help but smile in return. "Thank you....nobody has ever said something like that to me." Sunset said before leaning in closer to his head, Crimsons eyes widening about what was happening. Half a second later, just before Sunset was about to kiss Crimson, Principal Celestia made a somewhat dramatic entrance into the room. "What is all this about? And why do we have a student on the ground?" Sunset and Crimson, while not in view from Celestia, jumped at the voice and they pretend like nothing happened.
The room went dead silent. Then, suddenly, Circuit Breaker spoke up. "It's about Sunset Shimmer, ma'am," he said, in a quavering voice. Sent from my Nokia 3310 using Tapatalk 2
Crimson was about to whisper something to Sunset, but she put her finger on his lips to get him to stop talking. Surprised at what she done, Sunset whispered something to his ear. "Stay there, I'll talk to her." Sunset said before leaving to see Celestia. Not only was Sunset going to kiss him, but she was making sure that Crimson stayed out of this whole ordeal. She didn't want Crimson to be seen as a troublemaker. Crimson remained out of view while Sunset went to see Celestia
"Well, young lady?" Principal Celestia asked Sunset, "What's going on here?" Sent from my Nokia 3310 using Tapatalk 2
"Spitfire happened." Sunset replied, being truthful. "She was provoking other students, myself included. Eventually, one of us decided that we had enough. I was on the other side of the cafeteria, I have eyewitness reports everywhere. I didn't cause this."
"I see," she responded. "In that case..." She walked over to Spitfire, wakes her up and whispers in her ear: "You're expelled, effective immediately." "Yes, ma'am," sighed Spitfire. She got up and, head hung, walked out of the cafeteria. Sent from my Nokia 3310 using Tapatalk 2
There was no cheers this time, none while Principal Celestia was still in the room. Once Celestia left the room, nobody cheered out of the fear that she was still lurking around. After a minute or so, Lunch continued as normal. Although, tensions had gone and everybody had a good time. "Is she gone?" Crimson said, poking his head from around the corner. "Yea, she's gone." Sunset responded, before taking Crimsons hand and dragging him back to Circuit and Rainbow at their table. Once back, Crimson sighed before a large grin came on his face. "Wow...hell of a first day" Crimson said, collapsing into his seat. (I was going to follow up with a funny cafeteria scene, I'll do it next post when time allows me)
Once Crimson sat down, he decided to get something of his chest. "So, cafeterias are a thing around here. I mean, do people actually like up to eat gross food? And then eat that food with your entire school?" "Do you....not have cafeterias elsewhere?" Sunset said, curious about the boy next to him. "Never had them at all. At my old school, you can eat wherever you want. Although, you need to pack your own lunch" Crimson said, eating a sandwich. "I might to need to get used to this place however." Banned again? What did you do this time? Let me guess? Got carried away in a post?
