Crimson collapsed to the ground in a mess, coughing up blood as he kept himself upright on the ground. He was almost kneeling at Rainbows feet, and he was taking deep breaths every now and then.
"Feels good" Crimson told her. "Knowing that your sworn enemy is on the verge of defeat, how does it not feel good?"
"Oh, don't worry. No reason...." Crimson said before the handcuffs restraining him suddenly shattered. Crimson took his hands to make he into finger gun, except they actually shot powerful energy bullets out of his fingers. He moved his arms at an insane speed, managing to drop everyone in the room except Rainbow. There was no guard, and the three girls were saved from a fate from acting as an eternal slave to Rainbow. "Now....let's settle things. You and me, one on one." Crimson told her. "What are your terms?"
Crimson sidestepped the first punch and wrapped his arm around her own, moving it in such a way that it almost broke her arm instantly by forcing the bones in her arm to pop out. With that done, Rainbow got a Roundhouse kick to the jaw that sent her flying backwards.
She got right back up like it was nothing. "Heh... is that all you got? Pathetic." And she proceeded to smash open his skull and ribcage.
Crimson was knocked back, but it didn't do any visible damage. He suddenly launched himself at superhuman speeds at Rainbow before punching her in the guts, which stunned her. By then, Crimson took the advantage to throw her across the room. While doing so, he kept hitting her as she bounced across the ground as she flew backwards before she was ultimately punched in the face hard enough to be sent completely through the building and onto the rest of the world.
She died a few seconds later, but not before coming to her senses. "What... have I done..." were her dying words.
Crimson took the bodies of his friends and Rainbow and took them it an undisclosed location. Each of their bodies were placed together and placed inside a dark room with a gigantic magic rune with candles as the only light source. What Crimson was about to perform was beyond forbidden, but he wasn't going to live without his friends.
Meanwhile, everyone forgot that Rainbow had taken over, or in fact, anything that had happened while they were brainwashed.
Crimson was shirtless and in the centre of the rune, all the while he had drawn dozens of magic tattoos and symbols onto himself. He had his eyes closed as was about to perform a spell that would bring all of his friends back to life. This spell, as powerful as it was, demanded a sacrifice.
Crimson took a knife and carved a pattern into the palms of his hands, allowing blood to flow through the wound and fall into the rune. The rune glowed a bright red, all the while the bodies of all of the girls were positioned in a circle nicely. Crimson was in the middle of that circle, about to perform a forbidden technique. Circuit was the only survivor, he originally left the room to call for guards. While he was looking for Crimson, he didn't know what was going on. The drawn tattoos on Crimson's arm turned a bright glowing red, just as Crimson placed both of his hands onto the ground below him. He took a deep breath as he began chanting something ancient. There was a strange wind in the dark room, candlelight flickering like crazy. Crimson had begun the ritual to resurrect the girls that he cared about. The rune began to glow brighter and began to spin amongst the ground slowly. At that moment, Circuit walked in. This ritual was a resurrection spell, completely forbidden in the arcane arts due to its nature. Crimson was bringing seven girls back to life, back to the mortal world after he was forced to kill them. They were all taken care off during their death naps. They were stripped from their hateful uniforms they wore under Rainbows control, and dressed them up so that they would pretty as possible for when they awaken. He also helped clean them up to remove any dirt, blood or grime and anything else he could think of. He wasn't messing around with this spell. Of course, this spell wasn't forbidden without a reason. In order to bring the girls back to life, he must sacrifice his own. He didn't know how long he had after the ritual was complete, he could have died the moment that he ritual. He didn't know. Crimson was sacrificing himself for a better cause, to make sure that Circuit and the rest of the girls lived their lives to the fullest. There was suddenly a bright light that turned the darkness of the room into day for just a moment. The ritual ended and signs of life came back to all of the girls. They slowly woke up, all the while Crimson had walked just over five steps before collapsing to the ground. He turned himself over to lean against the wall, he was dying. And the last thing he wanted to see was his friends...
Circuit ran over to Crimson, cradling him in his arms. "NO!!! CRIM, NO!!!" he shouted at the top of his lungs, "DON'T DIE ON ME, MAN!! YOU CAN'T DO THIS TO ME!!" He started to cry, as he watched his friend, the one friend who he cared about the most, die in his arms. "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOooooooo..." (GAME OVER, YEAAAAAAAAAAHHH)
(Tactical plot twist incoming.....next post!) Crimson couldn't control his body anymore, he didn't have the strength to turn his his head. The girls nearby him were waking up slowly, only to find Circuit holding Crimson. As he died, he'd dressed up the girls for when they woke up. Most of the time, they were generally in formal clothing. But for Sunset....it was a wedding dress. Crimson grabbed Circuits hand tightly as he tried to say something with all the strength he had left. "Circuit....please.....keep them safe." By now, the girls were properly awake and had to watch Crimson die. As he looked down, Crimson was slowly disintegrating from the feet first into flowers. He looked down and just laughed quietly to himself. "It kinda makes you think, doesn't it. We are going full steam ahead into the future, but we have been looking backwards the entire time." And with that, he couldn't speak anymore. He lost the strength to stay awake, and he died with a smile on his face.
"No..." Circuit said, having passed the despair event horizon, as he sobbed into Crimson's decaying body.
