Soon enough, the group came together and performed the spell. They now had biological immortality, the ability to never age. Combined with their total-immunity to diseases thanks to advanced means of magic, they could potentially life for Millenia.
Meanwhile, another population spike occured Terra. With the population now reaching 600 million. The population of Terra greatly expanded outwards, now settling in all different corners of the planet to build other settlements. With the Terrans advanced technology, they can only reach fkr the stars. In fact, the first ships that contain FTL drives other then Mother Earth were being constructed.
However, one of the scientists, instead of building an FTL drive engine, inadvertently created a time machine.

"Hey, guys," Spitfire said, "There's news of people trying to replicate a time machine, mostly the mafia and terrorist groups. Don't you think we should... police time and prevent any change to the time stream?" "They're right," said Circuit, "History is meant to happen one way, and ONLY one way. Any change to history, and the universe becomes unrecognizable."
"Sheesh...I was only pitching an idea. But your right, Time-Travel should be and will be illegal." Crimson told the group.
The moment that it was announced, Crimson declared that Time-Travel wouod be highly illegal and any attempted jumps in time would result in life inprisonment or even death. While unbelievably harsh, it was entire nessacary.
As the Emperor of Mankind, Crimson helped lead Terra to a great prosperous period of Terran history. In the meantime, he declared Mars to be a signifigant planet to human history considering its proximity to where Earth used to be, it was almost a holy location to some.
