So, I decided to make up an alphabet when I was... I'unno, 16 years old or so, and this came about: (Yves = me, naturally. I also go by Renee Cloutier, Miles, Philip Valerius, et al =3) Anyway, I never did find a literary use for this thing... Maybe I'll finally find a roleplay that begs for an original script while I'm here =3 Who knows. Anyway, hope you all like it <3
Ah well ^^ you have the alphabet up there. Just put the phonetic letters together to form words, and you'll be able to write anything you can say (that happens to fit my admittedly flawed phonetic system =3). For example, this is alien:
Conscripts, mm? For pronunciation purposes, learn IPA, and also, the script looks a bit too complex to be writeable.
Yeah, my original ideas about pronunciation were a bit silly xP Of course I've dabbled in IPA now, and I should update this project to reflect that... Maybe I will ^^ For now, I feel lazy x-x But I disagree in terms of complexity. After all, millions of literate people write using 5000+ of these kinds of characters: I've memorized the alphabet in my OP, and I can write with it at a brisk pace--maybe just five or ten words a minute slower than in normal English cursive script--and it's all completely legible. This is true even though I'm not typically one to have neat handwriting
