Yeah all this is over. I'm done all my school work and I have started with hockey now...I did have a long break however. I enjoyed every minute of it! Because my body was run down I didn't swim a half colours time but that is understandable. I swam a 34.22. It was a short course as well, I actually prefer long course because for me tumble turns are a waste of time. I can never get them right under pressure. I did however qualify for half colours in Freestyle. The day I did was a long course gala, I swam a 28.9 and in butterfly I swam a 32.22. Overall I'm proud of my achievements, By the sounds of things because I pushed hard and didn't give up on my studies I did well in my school work too. I'll find out next Tuesday when school comes out for autumn holidays. Lol I can't wait actually, When you get half colours you get a swagtastic black blazer and tie. I'll post a picture of it when I get it
dang dude, nice! I definitely would have cracked under the pressure (I'm practically doing that now), so I gotta commend you for holding it all together. and yeah, I agree with you on the turns thing. My flipturns aren't bad, but my underwaters are painfully slow. I can't butterfly kick to save my life which is kinda unfortunate when your event is the 50 free like me. My best time is a 23.62 in yards (cuz the metric system makes too much sense for us here in America to use), but without a speedsuit, cap, and shavedown I can only go high 23s. And, if I'm honest, that's pretty much the only event I'm good at :derpe:
holy! Dude that is freaking fast! How old are you? You could go to the olympics with a few more seconds shaved off! And thanks! I am quite a stubborn person XD I hate giving in when I know I can do better. And yeah I also had trouble with butterfly but my teacher helped me and now I can do the kick rather well and I shaved 3 secs off my time.
eh, its allright, I guess. I'm 16, so I guess its pretty good for my age, but then again a couple guys on my team have already made Olympic trials, so I'm actually on the lower end of the spectrum. I barely even made varsity this year, and I don't get to swim the 50, cuz the guys on my team with 21s and 22s fill the heat. I'm stuck swimming the 200 and 500, which sorta sucks.
I did water polo, jiu jitsu, and LARP, so I guess I can't share or enjoy as much as you do. Let's just say that I'm very flexible and it is hard for me to get tired. Either way, I'm happy that you overcome it. Enjoy the hockey season!
oh lordy, running.... I was an XC warrior my freshman year, and part of my sophomore, but my coach is a NAZI. He is notorious for running kids into the ground, (no pun intended) and being a massive a-hole while doing it. I ended up quitting sophomore year, after he, no joke, kicked me out of a practice for going too slow. On my first practice back from a stress fracture in my knee. That he caused by not letting me see my schools trainer.
Running? ...To be completely honest, i blew my running career. Well, i ain't half bad, but not as good as i used to be. Then again, for a 231 lbs guy i am running like a 170 lbs. If only i didn't have all this fat... Cola, i curse you. Rawr. On another note, anyone here doing freerunning and/or gymnastics? I love just jumping around and doing flips. Unfortunately, my tucks suck; like, i can barely do them. Cola, this is all your fault! *sip* I curse you. *sip*
Yikes, that sounds absolutely awful. Sounds like he takes XC way too seriously. My cross country coach is a pretty awesome so I never had that problem. It's a tough sport but if you're not having fun there's no point in even doing it.
I cant run at all.....I can run maybe 100 feet before giving out.....I remember i had to run a mile in gym at school once....i literally almost passed out from exhaustion, and i finished last, with this girl that almost passed out too.The teacher kept yelling at me..I thought."I'd like to see you try this you stupid b*tch." Looking back i think..."What the buck was the point of that? Were they trying to kill us?" So yeah..not much of an athlete.
I'm in better shape since becoming a cart pusher. Not much of a runner, but I can keep going longer. Still 300+ lbs, but losing weight steadily.
Oh god I find it absolutely hilarious when people scream at me when I run. It's just sp ridiculous that they think they can ridicule me for something they can't even do themselves. Just a few days ago I went on an 8 mile run because it was beautiful out. The sun shined and it was warm after all winter, you know the kind. Anyway at about mile 4 and there was a huge hill in front of me. It was about half a mile long and had about a 30-40 degree incline on average. Still being full of energy at that point I powered my way up the hill a little too fast. See, a problem I have is while I'm running my gag reflex sometimes act up causing me to puke from exhaustion. After powering up this hill I spilled my cookies at the top and walked for a small moment to allow my stomach time to settle when some slow driving ignoramus leaned out her car window and yelled "WHY'D YOU STOP YOU F###ING *squee!*" Now I had just puked which is where most draw the line and planned on continuing the whole 8 mile (I did in fact finish) The irony here is that she was about 300lbs overweight and struggled to get herself out of the window to berate me.
Lol Just someone with no self esteem trying to improve it by making everyone seem worse than her. I get that all the time. Once the guy ridiculed me for running slowly. (I was doing a warm down) I challenged him at a race. This was in front of a large crowd btw when he yelled at me. So he accepted not wanting to look like a coward and well...I dominated him. From that day forth he never said anything to me again. Victory for me that day was sweet.
I'd probably do the same but most people can't even finish the races I run except those who actually work on their cardio. "Oh you're slow." "Wana race?" "Sure you're on." "Alright, from here to the hospital." "That's like 5 miles." "Oh you're slow."
I would have done this.. "Ahem...*Flips her off*Why you stop you stupid b*tch?" I would have puked before reaching 2 miles.Passed out at 3.And died at 4.......
I do literally no exercise apart from walking to school. I don't even eat healthily yet, somehow, I'm not fat. I generally don't care when it comes to sport, to the dismay of my team mates. I can do long-distance fine but I lack the drive to do any sprinting.
