Dark glided down to the Princesses and saluted, "Everything is clear ma'm's. Permission to watch?" Celestia smiled, "Granted. You know there's no need for such formalities Dark." Dark looked down, slightly embarrased, "Yes mam." She looked back up to see somepony she hadn't seen before, "And you are?" she asked.
Macro took his eyes off the race for a second to look at Snow. "I'm Macro, Princess Luna's personal guard." He smiled and then looked back down to the race to see Orangebolt fly past fleet foot. He grinned and nodded to himself. "So you are...?" He asked looking back up to Snow.
Breeze had arrived at a clearing in the forest and walked around it, hoping to find something of use, when he feel through a hidden hole in the ground. He groan in pain as he got up and looked around. What he saw was a dimly lit tunnel filled with skeletons, armor, and weapons. He began to walk down the tunnel, studying almost everything, when he found an old looking book. He smiled, opened it, and began to read. He became excited, this was one of the war journals. He put the book in his saddle bag and made his way out of the tunnel. 'That was just luck...' He thought, 'I need to find somepony who can help me with these riddles before I do anything else.' Breeze spread his wings and flew towards town.
(Changed to Dark Light, another of my OC's) "I am Dark Light, Master Protector of the Capital Region." Dark said, "I'm surprised you do not reconize you superiors. Anyways, it looks like that Orangebolt kid is might take the lead."
"Let's see if I can get this to work now." Orange thought to himself as his spark trail intensified to a lightning bolt "I might just make it past Spitfire this time! "Orangebolt is lapping the ring at intense speeds! He might just catch up to Spitfire!" The announcer yelled
"Well, I am Princess Luna's personal guard, not a member of the actual guard." Macro said, not taking his eyes off the race. His wings came out from his side to show his gold wing guards in exitement as Orangebolt came closer to Spitfire.
Dark watched passively as the Wonderbolts entered their last lap, that Orange Bolt was getting awful close to Spitfire, he might just do it.
A column of blue light erupted from Orangbolts section of the ring. "Spitfire and Orange are neck and neck!" The Announcer yelled out. "It's Orange! No, Spitfire, No it's a TIE!" The crowd erupted into applause. "Nice derby out there Spitfire." Orange said, panting "You too, that was a nice technique you pulled off there." Spitfire said. "And Spitfire and Orange tied for first! We'll return with the reward ceremony after the interview with the flyers!" The announcer said
Turns out fixing a shed IS different from painting. Crashsite had decided to leave the wood for now until he sold enough paintings to pay for it all. He ended up just repainting it for now. “Now that looks a lot better.” He said to himself. All the walls were painted red and the sign was painted blue. Upon going inside he realized something else. All of his paintings were of ponyville or a sunrise or some trees. All of these where things anypony in ponyville could see already. ‘If I’m going to make a living off of these paintings I should make them of places most ponies here don’t see.’ He thought looking at all of his similar paintings. “But where.” He said even though he already knew where. “Ok shop locked, food for a week, art supplies packed, I’m ready to go.” Said the cross-eyed Pegasus as he neared the Everfree forest. He wasn’t worried one bit about the dangers of the forest. He figured he could fly out of most situations. He thought that the best place to find unique thing to paint would be the Everfree. So without a second thought he disappeared into the trees.
Rashall had woken up a few hours ago and thus had made his way up into the clouds to begin his second patrol sweep though near Canterlot this time round. He noticed a race going on and decided to watch from a cloud up above the circuit, he laughed out loud as the two ponies in lead tied for first, but he smiled seeing that they liked it that way. Rashall then noticed the Princesses seated in their section and willed his cloud over towards them, when it got there it stopped above the Princesses heads. Rashall simply poked out a hole in the middle of the cloud and looked down on them and smiled, they hadn't noticed him good he liked it that way.
Orange and Spitfire trotted up to the box where the guards a royalty were watching for the interview. "Feel free to ask us anything about the derby." Orange said.
Dark did as usual in an interview with the royals, stood at attention, face blank, and let the Princesses do the talking.
"Hmmf rigid and at attention as always, interesting how other royalty works," says Rashall at last making his presence known.
Macro aplauded as the cheakered flag was dropped, he waited for the sound to die down before he spoke. "If you will exuse me for a moment Princess." "As you will Macro, your not on duty so you may do whatever you please." Luna said tillting her head toward him. He flew down from the booth and looked over to the Wonderbolts, he shook his head and flew down the the crowded booky and walked through the crowd to the desk. The booky looked at him and rolled his eyes and dropped 6 small bags of bits on the desk. Macro grinned and picked them up and put them behind his wing. He trotted back toward the booth when he cought the sight of the Wonderbolts again. He cursed not being known, if he had joined the guards he would be known and respected. He loved his job but hated that nopony knew who he was or what he did. He looked away from the Wonderbolts and the walked away from the booth and then took off and flew out of the arena, letting his black and gold flash trail behind him as he zoomed off towards the castle.
Dark ignored Rashall, sure she knew him through Snow, but she had a job, and she couldn't break form. Couldn't have potential enemies of Equestria seeing a Master Protector no less breaking form to indulge in small talk.
Breeze darted through the Everfree, dodging tree after tree. What fun is there in flying over the trees? He almost made in to the opening when he crashed into a cross-eyed pony entering the forest. "Oh man, sorry!" He said, "Are you alright?"
The interview soon ended. The awards ceremony began. Princesses Luna and Celestia Awarded Spitfire and Orange a gold medal each, following with fleetfoot having a silver and soarin, despite having a sprained wing in 3rd
only a minute into the forest and Crash crashed into something, or someone. The green Pegasus was apologizing to him. "It's alright." Crash replied. "I'm use to running into things."
Orange flew off into canterlot to deposit his prize money in the bank. He noticed a familiar looking pegasus who was at the derby "Hey, you're Luna's guard er.. Macro was it? Nice to meet you. Saw you in the royalty box up at the derby."
