Personality:Vision is a weird combination of cynical and idealistic, sociable and reclusive, and erratic and grounded. Commonly sarcastic and analytical, Vision has tendencies to try and see everything that goes on in any given scenario from all angles, making him both very understanding and very critical in most situations. This trait creates problems because he often puts more into a sitution than there actually is, misses the real point, or puts him in indescisive and neutral roles, but it also makes him a great advisor or diplomat. On situations where he takes a stance though he often is obstinate and often won't move from it easily even when confronted with proof that it's wrong or a cause of trouble. His humor ranges from baudy and loud to dry and wry, and his skills in writing craft often leads him to many ironic observations about the "narrative structure" of many situations he faces in his life, although he regularly insists "No one is loony enough to actually tell this as a story". Occupation:Teacher, Writer Note: With a mixture of both shame and apathy, I admit that Vision is something of a Mary Sue(including the tendency to make fourth wall-like cracks, I commonly note how something seems like such and such story). I promise though that Vision will get crap thrown his way and that I'll bring some plot and character development all his own to the table once I'm in proper. I wanna read all the posts to get an idea of what's going on and flesh out some stories that can be brought in with him. In the mean time, if it's too much of an issue, well, I figure it's about time I made some actual pony characters, so just let me know.
OOC: Okay, so it looks like we have a plot developing around Rashall, although in my brief skim it seemed like something else was going on the side. In this sense, Rashall is the one mainly directing the story. So my question is what can those of us looking to join do to contribute and help the plot along? My character's moving from Manehatten to Ponyville as an intro for example, so that provides a good oppurtunity for an antagonist to also appear, or another element to be transported into the area. Just wanting to help set the stage for more conflict and story development.
OOC: 1)Be that as it may, there is still only one person who so far is bringing a conflict to the table, as far as I can see. I'm of the mind of supporting someone finally bringing the essence of storytelling to a communal storytelling thread, and not distracting from what little we have by trying to establish another unrelated conflict. 2)That said, we go on much longer(I know it hasn't really been that long, but still), I might make a self decision to reboot the entire thing and start people off right. That's something we can discuss more in... 3)...here. That is the purpose of this thread, to discuss what we're wanting to do with the story, whethe it needs retconning, someone introducing a new conflict or what have you. And, in fact, if I'm missing another narrative struggle, you can tell me about it in there.
Name: Gears Flywheel Age: Teen <<< Looks: Very dark blue-grey coat with a blonde mane and tail, which he wears long. Almost always wears a many-pocketed vest, underneath which is a pendant he made from a portion of his friend's horn. He is fast but flimsy, and not particularly strong by any stretch. Personality: Reclusive, unless he's with ponies he really trusts. Likes to think objectively and outside the box, or "observe the gears", as he calls it, rather than bring personal feelings into decisions. As such, few ever agree with his coldly logical opinions. Loves to work out how things function, be it a farm plough or advanced physics. Reason for coming to Ponyville: Trying to find Twilight Sparkle again, who he met several times at the Canterlot library. (They were still foals at the time; roughly when Twi was studying at magic school, and he was memorising lectures through a third-floor window outside of magic school whilst avoiding palace guards.)

Might as well do this for formalities... Name- Zephyr Age- Late Teens (Though has the maturity of about a 13 year old) Looks- He's a grayish blue pegasus. He has short, messy, navy colored hair with a dark stripe running through it. You can always find him wearing his goggles, as they hold very deep sentiment to him. His cutie mark is a Golden Horseshoe with golden wings. His tail is pretty much just like his hair; short, blue, and a mess. He has golden/yellow eyes and a stupid grin on his face a lot. Reason for being in Ponyville- After leaving his hometown at a young age because of an incident, he wandered from town to town living off of what he could, because of such he was labeled a thief in many of the towns surrounding Ponyville and decided to settle in one of the few towns he hasn't been labeled in.

He is able to actually touch and move the wind he makes. He is great at performing for the entertainment of others, doing tricks in the air and using his wind skills in some of his tricks. One of his favorite moves is when he flies very high, and then free falls. Then when he almost hits the ground he all of a sudden zooms back to the sky. He loved the feeling of it. He doesn't get paid for his talent. he likes just doing it for the fun of tricks. Personality: He is friendly and quiet. Mostly hangs around in the clouds with Rainbow Dash. He is loyal and trustworthy. Somehow not really a cheery type. Pretty hard to make him laugh alot, but he smiles sometimes.
