    If I had to give advice to new parents it would be this: Don't shelter your children. When they get old enough to start asking questions about the world around them, whatever those questions might be, answer them honestly in a way they'll understand. Kids are often more intelligent than they're given credit for and I strongly believe it's better to encourage them to question things and form their own opinions rather than force-feeding them one point of view. If they end up disagreeing with your perspective on things, don't knock it, embrace it because it means they're actually thinking about things and using their brain and that will always be a good thing.
