Spike bores me cause he is not a pony and the fact that he has a boring character that basically just good for a side character. I prefer Rarity over Spkie, but would love to see how far their relationship go. To be honest, I am scared Rarity would hurt his feelings, cause I feel she would do that. Maybe the reason I still don't trust Rarity.
I actually like them as well. They usually show some sort of unique interaction between him and the characters that I find entertaining.
Spike is great when he's doing what he does best -- helping Twilight. Loved how he got to shine in Crystal Empire. When he's re-learning the greed lesson, he's tedious and bratty. I don't know why the writers keep going back to that particular well.
I don't hate any episodes of MLP FiM especially ones that have Spike in them sure some of them have things, lines or moments in them that I don't like to much but I still like every episode of this show and LPS.
I dont like the Spike ep so much either.. Dont get me wrong, I love Spike, cute little baby dragon *hugs alot* Dragon Quest was really cool btw.. But thats it^^
There seems to be a lack of continuity with the Spike episodes, as far as his attitude is concerned anyway. That sorta bugs me. Like normally when Twilight is panicking and sweating the small stuff, Spike is usually her voice of reason, assuring her that she's panicking over nothing. So seeing him freak out and jump to the conclusion that he was being replaced by the owl was very out of character for him. Same goes for the episode where he felt compelled to repay Applejack with a life of servitude; hes normally quite adept at helping with household chores and he's never really been portrayed as a klutz before. So seeing him causing so much destruction by accident made it feel like it was being forced too much. Of course, in "The Secret of my Excess," I can understand why he acts the way he does. It was pretty much beyond his power to control his greedy urges in that one, it was a natural part of growing as a dragon. I thought that episode was done well. His greed wasn't portrayed quite as well in "Just for Sidekicks." He really seemed more pushy then he normally is and seeing him behaving so very selfishly seemed weird. However, I was happy to see that the episode displayed a sense of friendship between Spike and Owlowiscious. Actually, that episode made me hate Angel way more than I could ever hate Spike. That nasty little bunny is always such a jerk -.-
