Once again, i'm asking you not to derail this thread. As of now I expect moderators to delete every off-topic post. And that includes this one. I'm not posting any further until a moderator restores the order and allows this thread to continue. If you think it needs to be locked, then lock it. If you think it needs to be deleted, then delete it. My message has been heard from the moment Zephyr replied to it anyway. I was hoping the opinions of others would help the case, which is why i posted this in public. I was hoping we could all take care of this without constant bickering, but it seems none of you can handle it. I've tried to be reasonable in every post i've made here. Poetic sees arguments when there aren't any, and in doing so, he causes them. I expect moderators to moderate this thread asap. In the way THEY see fit. That will be all. I'll be discussing this further in private with the relevant staff members.
We regularly check the threads for people interested in positions, and frequently discuss who out of the applicants we feel would be the strongest candidates for potential positions.
my only real staff complaints as of late are their presence, which is a lot better then before. and the other thing being that the staff don't seem to commuicate. Like staff doing things behind other staff members backs. got something else. The way problem users are dealt with. The staff seem scared to deal with them and instead wait for them to constantly make a mistake.
I agree with all the points that Rarit E is referring to. However, it is easy to talk about all these literally and then put the issues into practice. Rules are a guide and we have to act according to them, but not always in a strict way and with common sense. I feel confortable @ EP, maybe unware of a lot of things that are happening in the forums... just chilling out.
A bit of a different context there, Sparky. I believe Aynine's talking about MMORPG guilds, using 'Elite' to refer to more organised groups that take their experience seriously.
Then why don't you actually try to do something then instead of quoting everything you see and doing nothing about it?
YaY Okay. Pick me up at 8 for our honeymoon. This might be harder then you. From what I understand the admins have to be asked before someone can be banned. So the forum mods can't do anything until the admins give the okay. I could be wrong, but that's what I recall.
The thing with the two certain problem users was that they've been here a long time and made some good relationships here. If you were a mod, how would you feel about banning your friend? Then again, this is inexcusable since a mod should think about the welfare of the site, not just themselves or a particular user.
Time here should not have any impact on whether the person should be banned for being a problem user. They will do it again and this would stop it before it every happens. I really don't think being here for a 1 year is any different then being here for a day.
I agree, Pixel. A number of us were pushing to have expiration times on infractions extended or, in the case of the more serious ones, made permanent.
That was my underlying point, although I put a very big counter-argument first, so that was probably confusing.
