So, I have the tendency to get really involved with games, but I haven't found one worthy of my time in quite some time (other than Team Fortress 2, which is growing bland). I prefer multiplayer games, or games with a multiplayer aspect, over single player games. I like to be able to have interactions with other people when I play. Games that I've previously enjoyed: - RuneScape - Back in middle school, I played this game for a couple of years. I had a really great character, and I started a new one not too long ago, but just can't get back into it. - Counter Strike: Source - Started playing this in early high school. It was really fun, but everything gets old with time. - Magic: the Gathering - not a video game at all, but I used to love playing Magic: the Gathering on a competitive level. I just don't have the cash to spend on decks worth a few hundred dollars and the gas money to travel to big tournaments any more. - Pokemon -I revisited my childhood franchise and played the newest Pokemon games. Between Platinum, HeartGold, and Black I had close to 600 hours logged, an EV trained team including a naturally caught Shiny Crobat, all of the legendaries/give-away Pokemon, etc. My girlfriend at the time and I played together and, after she left me, I gave all I had to my friend. I've tried playing it again, but it feels like something's missing. - Team Fortress 2 - my current addiction that's growing old Are there any games I'm overlooking? Things that you don't have to pay monthly for are preferable, and MMOs need to be spectacular and non-generic to get my attention.
Yes, TF2 does grow tiresome. That is, unless you're playing with the right people (I play with micspammers and picnic heavies/useless medics, its quite fun if you get people to go along) You should try Killing Floor, I heard its free this weekend
