She leaned her head back against the wall, closing her eyes tiredly. "What's the deal with Eve?" she asked after a moment. "What level of control does she have over you?"
"Well... she's not able to force you to come back, it looks like," she told him. "And you're able to disobey her orders. Did you..." She hesitated as if she wasn't sure if she wanted to hear the answer. "Did you make the choice to chase me, or was she making you do that?"
She shook her head. "I meant that you wouldn't have left me either, but I guess that's not necessarily true." She exhaled slightly, looking downhearted before sitting up. "I need to get rid of the warehouse, Abel. They're... they're doing really bad things in there. They're getting ready to really hurt people."
"Yeah, the place where Eve is. They're storing a ton of tools there. The mechanical exoskeletons. They're all there. We need to destroy it."
She frowned, but didn't push it. "You don't need to come with me, Abel," she said gently. "It might be better for you to stay hidden. We can meet up somewhere after I destroy it and try to figure out what to do."
