She laughed a little, reaching over and ruffling his hair like she used to. "Don't apologize. You don't owe me anything. Besides, it's not like you're trying to do it."
She dropped her hand, her face shifting through a couple of emotions before she followed him. "Right. Okay."
She laughed a little, but her voice was soft. "I think we probably could, but it might be better just to get some cots instead."
She followed him, sighing as she looked down at her shoes, watching the lights glow off the linoleum floors. Her dark brows were furrowed in thought.
She took some of the stuff from him gently, balancing the items under her chin. "Yeah, let's head back. Are you hungry?"
He still seemed a little paranoid, looking around. "Let's drop off the stuff first, then we can go to a cafe."
