Neon Nights

“No,” she replied adamantly, pulling away from his jaw completely to look at him. “It’s just postponed.”

 

She laughed, her fingers curling in his shirt as she rested her forehead against his.

 

She brushed his hair back gently, her arms draped over his shoulders.

“And you’re biased.”

 

“So, it doesn’t count,” she replied, scooting up to be right up against him, kissing his cheek.

 

She considered him for a moment.

“Why isn’t it fair?” she asked quietly, her hand on his chest.

 

She rested her forehead against his, saying nothing for a moment.

“You’re right,” she said softly.

 

She watched him, her breath shallow as she considered him.

“...kiss me?”

 

She leaned towards him for a moment before gently lying down with him, her hand resting on his leg. She broke the kiss, but stayed close, her eyes bright and loving.

"There are so many things I want to talk about with you," she murmured. "I want to find out everything about you, Abes."

 

“I love you too,” she replied evenly.

 

She looked up at him, resting her head on her hand with a small smirk.

“Wow. All it takes is making out with a girl to make you brave enough to beat up your psychotic sister.”
