She squinted for a moment before approaching him. "You're... like, my favorite person I've ever met," she told him, kissing his cheek. "Seriously."
She returned about an hour and a half later, struggling to get something in through the door, panting slightly.
She looked up at him brightly, turning to him and setting down the bags over her shoulder. "You love me, right?"
She looked over her shoulder at him apprehensively, like a child caught stealing cookies. "I know, but the cots were uncomfortable, Abel."
