She laughed a little, looking up at him as she munched on a tortilla chip. "I'm home when I'm with you," she said, her face eager and honest before she blushed in shame and realization. "But not... not in a gross way. God, that was terrible."
She laughed to push away her embarrassment, looking up at him. "Don't kiss me with your burrito mouth," she teased.
She reached up with her free hand, caressing his face gently, her thumb brushing his lips as she leaned back against him.
She looked up at him in surprise, turning on her side as well, her hand resting on his chest. "I love you too," she replied, looking a little confused. "Are you okay?"
He pulled away, propping his head up on his hand as he considered her, his other hand on her waist. "I'm alright. Why?"
She shrugged a little, reaching out idly to trace the veins under his skin on his wrist. "I just... you grew very affectionate all of the sudden," she said, her gaze flickering up to him. "I don't mind, obviously, I just wasn't expecting it."
He watched her hands move thoughtfully, his expression relaxed. His gaze shifted to meet her, his eyes dark and mysterious, reflecting emotion that would be hard to discern. "So it's alright, then..?"
