She was lying on her back, her head tilted against his chest. She hadn’t worn her hair back, and it was disheveled as she woke, sitting up sleepily.
She looked down at him, her face softening as she leaned down and planted soft kisses against his sternum, moving up to kiss his neck gently.
She turned her head and kissed his hand, leaning down to settle next to him again. “I did. What about you?”
She considered this before looking back up at him. “Yeah, I think that’s smart,” she replied, reaching up and running her fingers through his hair.
He leaned into her touch, closing his eyes again. "I guess we should go to the store then," he said with a sigh. We could pick up some other stuff there as well."
She sighed a little, her lips brushing along his jawline as she kissed a path to his neck. "Maybe we should wait before we go. Get a big list of everything we need."
"Well, we should get groceries," she said, pulling away and resting her head on her hands to look at him. "And stuff like plates and stuff, or at least paper plates. And household supplies. You know. Little things like that.
She considered this, her fingers brushing her mouth before she set her hand down, almost as if reminding herself of something. "Yeah, okay. Maybe we should try to get more durable ones, though. We want to be able to leave at a moment's notice."
