She grinned at him before sliding off the counter and grabbing her toothbrush. "Let's make a list, then. Of stuff we need to get."
He went to the other room and pulled out a paper, writing down the things they needed in his large handwriting, including plates and a bed frame.
He didn't seem to notice, a thoughtful expression on his face as he wrote, adding the smaller details to the list.
Her face softened and she came up behind him, draping her arms over his shoulders as she looked down at the list.
"Yeah. I don't think I need to add more important stuff because I'll remember, but we should write down snacks," he said. "What do you like?"
She laughed a little, looking up at him playfully. "You don't know your girlfriend's favorite snacks?"
"I'm so... devastated," she said dramatically, leaning against him. "I trust you with me, with my emotions and my body and this is how you repay it?"
"I bet you were just using me," she said miserably. "Just using me for your... your needs. This is a betrayal, Abel."
He set down the pen, leaning back with a groan as he waited for her to finish her fit. "Oh, stop it with that. Just answer the question."
"Do you do this to all girls?" she asked numbly, lying back on the floor and looking up at the ceiling. "Bring them in with your talk of a rebellion, get your sister to torture them and you, tell them you want to be with them, lose your memory, get it back with a proclamation of love, and then sleep with them? Way to play the long, long, long game, sicko."
She was not finished, pressing her hands to her eyes in anguish. "And to think, I was going to get you a gift for Christmas!" she lamented. "A Christmas gift, Abel!"
