His heartbeat was steady, if not a little faster than normal, and he gasped, sitting up quickly, holding his head.
"My head hurts," he muttered, running a hand through his hair before he looked around in a daze. "Do you hear that?"
She shook her head, her hands trembling as she watched him. “No, I don’t... I don’t hear anything. What happened?”
"I don't know," he said, sounding irritated though it wasn't directed at her. He pressed his hands to his forehead. "It sounds like a whistle.. It's annoying."
She kissed his cheek worriedly, looking around nervously. “What were you doing? Come lie down, I’ll get you an ice pack.”
She set him down on the bed and went to the fridge to grab an ice pack, her brows furrowed as she returned to him nervously. “Is it just the ringing...?”
She set the ice pack against his head gently before closing the blind, darkening the room gently to make it easier. “Let me get you some water.”
After a few moments she would hear him yell out angrily. "Where is that *squee!*ing noise coming from!?" He stormed into the main room, looking around heatedly before going to the front door. "I have to find it."
She flinched when he yelled, her brows furrowing nervously. "Abel, I think it's probably because you hit your head..."
She frowned, following him, her hands pinching her outer thigh nervously. "Can I come with...? I won't talk."
