She had closed her eyes at that point, but there came a knock at the door and she sat up. "That's the pizza. One sec."
She rested her head on his shoulder, setting the pizza box on their laps. "I asked for only pineapple."
She glowered at him before grabbing a slice and taking a large bite out of it, settling in next to him to watch the movie.
Her head was resting on his shoulder and she squinted a little at the TV. "Abel, what do you think you're gonna do after all this?"
She laughed a little. “That’s okay,” she soothed, squeezing his free hand. “You’ll figure something out.”
She considered this, pinching a napkin between her fingers. “I don’t know,” she said eventually. “I might go see my family. It’s been a long time.”
